Chapter 7

Unwanted attention

(Y/n) was basically dragged into team RWBY's dorm while Star and Kyon got ready for their initiation, (Y/n) was more than excited to see his new friends go all out against the grimm and put on a show for everyone to see. They never showed their weapons, so he was also excited for that as well.

Ruby: (Y/N)!!

Ruby's voice snapped (Y/n) out of his thoughts, he shook his head looking down at the younger team leader who was going on a rant this caused (Y/n) to smile at her which caused Ruby to blush.

Ruby: A-Are you even listening?

(Y/n): I missed you Ruby, I missed all of you so much, even you Yang.

Yang: Hey-

Team Rwby's dorm was kicked off its hinges, everyone averted their gaze to see Nora

Nora: Hey team Rwby and (Y/n), we have two new- GASPPPPPPP OH MY GOD (Y/N)!!!!

Before he could respond Nora tackled (Y/n) into the wall with a death gripping hug, everyone second seem to be more painful.

Nora: YOU'RE BACK!!

(Y/n): Ribs! Crushing! can't...breathe...

Weiss: Nora release!!

Nora rolled her eyes letting go of the boy as his took a deep inhale getting air back into his lungs returning back to life.

Nora: Sorry, Sorry, it's just so good to see you after so long, since you.. well KABOOM!

(Y/n): Oh yeah, I will probably have to feel you and the rest of your team in on how I'm back anddd Nora's gone.

Blake: She'll be back.

Just in that moment Team JNPR was in the dorm, they all had shocked expressions but (Y/n) stood up yelling.

(Y/n): HOLD IT! Yes I am alive, Yes it's a long story, Of course I will let you know. NO! I do not want another bone crushing hug I think Nora shifted my ribs.

Nora giggled hiding behind Ren.

(Y/n): So, fix their damn door, sit down, and I'll tell everyone EVERYTHING.

There was a brief silence before Jaune spoke up

Jaune: Now can we all get a hug?

(Y/n): *SIGH* Yes.. now you may all get a hug from me. 'I've been alive for 3 days and I feel like killing myself all over again.'

(Y/n) brought team Jnpr into a group hug thankfully it wasn't a bone crushing hug like Nora's, Ruby's, and Weiss'.

After the hug and a door being fixed (Y/n) made sure everyone was comfortable where they were at before explaining where he has been the last couple of months.

(Y/n): I'm pretty sure you're all aware of what happened "that day" but since then I've been dead, from what I can remember I felt like I was floating in a never-ending void, like I was falling through water, but I could actually breathe. Then I woke up in a huge palace that was owned by a 17-year-old kid! Which is beyond my understanding, continuing that's where I met the two that saved me-

Nora: Then you broke their legs!

(Y/n): HAH... No but I did get sucker punch in the schnoz (nose).

Ren: What were their names?

(Y/n): I'd get to that if I wasn't getting interrupted every time.

This caused Nora and Ren to sit back down giving their attention to (Y/n) once more.

(Y/n): Thank you, now that I can speak again. The two that saved me are the two you were coming to tell team Rwby about however they already met them. Star who is basically a badass older sister that no one dares mess with and Kyon. He's the one who saved me and did all the dirty work to bring me back to life.

Pyrrha flinched hearing that name, looking at (Y/n) the more he talked about him his voice seemed to fade out as well as her surroundings, everything was silent till she heard;

Kyon: Pyrrha.

She looked up with sweat pouring down her face seeing the person in front of her was Jaune not Kyon, but she heard his voice

Jaune: Are you okay?

Pyrrha: Y-Yes I'm fine, sorry if I worried you. I'm alright.

Jaune: Alright if you say so.

(Y/n): Anyways that's all and now we are here. They have their initiation, and I can't wait to see how they preform. OH CRAP!

Ruby: What?! What is it?!

(Y/n): I totally forgot to tell Velvet that I'm like officially un-dead.

Just then Ozpin sent out a message to everyone telling them to gather into the auditorium for someone urgent but special.

(Y/n): Orrrr it can wait till after the initiation. C'mon let's go! I don't want to miss it!

Weiss: WAIT YOU DOLT!

(Y/n) stopped in his tracks looking back at the heiress with anticipation like a kid getting a brand-new toy from the toy store or adults on pay day.

Weiss: After would you mind accompanying me by going into Vale later.

(Y/n): Sure, Snowflake but let's worry about that AFTER we watch our new friends totally dominate this initiation!

He grabbed Ruby and Weiss by their wrist dragging them to the auditorium.

Yang: At least he acts the same as if nothing ever happened.

Blake: Yeah.. he does, doesn't he.

-In the auditorium-

All the students were in the auditorium looking at Professor Ozpin and Glynda Goodwitch stood on the stage looking back at the students.

Ozpin: Hello and greetings to all my students here, today we have a special treat for everyone. We have two new students who will attend, normally we don't allow late acceptance however there skills are above the average. So i decided to switch it up a bit.

Ozpin clicked a button and everyone's seats shifted and started to move, the auditorium turned into a huge arena with an open sky. A bunch of students were surprised.

Ozpin: We're changing up our usual initiation, since it's later on into the school year why not give you a show..and popcorn.

Glynda: Now everyone give a warm welcome to the two competing; Star and Kyon!

Two doors opened next to each other in the arena as the two walked out slowly. The students cheered for them to do their best.

Star: I love a warm welcome

Kyon: They're so loud..

He kept his hands in his pockets stopping where he was.

A protective barrier was placed between the students and the two in the arena, Ozpin figured things would get hectic.

Pyrrha was standing up with her hands on the rail keeping her eyes fixated Kyon

Pyrrha: 'I-It's him, actually him... he's alive!'

Glynda: The two in the ring are you ready!?

Kyon gave a thumbs up while Star shot a wink at Glynda which made her blush.

Star held her arm out summoning her weapon which was her great sword that was way bigger than her body most would think it's hard to wield.

Ruby's jaw dropped to the floor as she watched Star summon such a cool weapon causing her eyes to have stars in them and drool dropping from her mouth.

Ruby: AHH ITS SO COOL!!!

Kyon kept the same dead panned look putting his hair up in a ponytail to keep his hair out of his face

Glynda: ALRIGHT YOUR INITIATIONS START NOW!!!

Glynda pressed a button and a pair of doors on the other side of the arena opened. The two heard growling to see grimm slowly walk out. Kyon and Star looked at each other then back at the grimm smirking.

The first wave was Alpha Beowolves at first they growled then charged at the two.

Kyon: Am I supposed to go all out here?

Star: Why not? Give the students a show.

Star smiled as Kyon turned away taking his hands out of his pockets. A Beowolf swung its claw at Star, she ducked then before the monster could react it was hit by Kyon who appeared over Star kicking the grimm into the wall closest to them.

Student: That's got to hurt!

Star smirked charging at the grimm on the other side of the arena, the students jaw dropped to see her move that fast with a weapon that big on her shoulder slashing through the grimm with ease. She spun in the air throwing her sword stabbing multiple grimm into the wall.

Ruby: OH MY GOD SHES SO COOL!!!! I WANT THAT WEAPON

Star looked over to see Kyon having been thrown in the air in her direction, grabbing her sword she placed it where he would land on it, once his landed on the blade Star spun around sending Kyon back in that direction.

While Kyon was in the air, he spun slamming his fist into the Beowolf's skull slamming it down into the arena floor making a small crater, before it disappeared, he grabbed its foot throwing it upwards. The other four that were on the ground looked at their comrade being thrown then they were decapitated easily and out of nowhere.

Kyon put his hand down slowly as the grimm bodies all dropped then turned to dust.

The crowd was cheering loud as the first wave was complete.

Ozpin: 'But that isn't all, get ready for the next wave.'

Ozpin pressed another button sending out more grimm

Kyon sighed taking off his lab coat showing off how built he really was, it caught the attention of the girls then threw it to the side.

Star: AYE AYE AYE AYE!! Stop showing off your muscles for these girls here you're in the middle of an Initiation kitty cat!

Kyon scoffed activating his semblance once more, but he held his arm out holding his hand preparing to flick something?

Yang: What is he trying to-

A powerful gust of wind shot out from his fingertip, so powerful the professors that were watching from the top flew back in their seats.

Yang: 'Yup... Clean up on isle me.'

Star: Show off!

There was a group of oncoming Ursa Majors running towards the two, Star prepared to attack but Kyon stood in front of her. His semblance was still activated as the lighting around his body seemed to get brighter.

Kyon: I can handle this one myself.

Without any hesitation he used his semblance to enhance his speed punching through one Ursa Major then electrocuted two more behind it. Dodging the oncoming attacks from multiple grimm he flipped onto his hands kicking one of the grimm upwards. flipping onto his feet he sent out a flurry of attacks before taking out a weird looking disk that was attached to his back.

(Y/n): The hell is that?

The weird disk transformed into a scythe as Kyon got into his stance.

Ruby: He has a scythe?...

Yang: Rub-

Ruby: OH MY GOD MARRY ME!!!

Weiss: Ruby no-

Ruby: RUBY YES!!

Spinning his scythe around he was able to kill of multiple of the ursa majors, the last one growled going in for an attack behind him.

Pyrrha: Behind you!

The claw was cut off, a second later the scythe was in its abdomen, also swinging the last grimm into the arena's wall making another crater killing it instantly.

Students: *Cheered louder*

Everything went silent hearing loud footsteps come from the last yet way larger terminal. Kyon retreated next to Star as his ears twitched after every step.

Kyon: They really decided to go all out Demon, whatever is coming through that terminal is huge.

Star: What the hell Oz.

Kyon: Crapbaskets!

Glynda: Ozpin what're you thinking!? You could actually kill them!

Ozpin: Are you actually worried about them as a whole or just one particular person.

Glynda stomped her foot in aggression looking out of the window down at the arena. Her worry kept growing looking at Star.

Kyon: Well, I know if I die, I can blame you because we could be home and not have to worry about fighting a T REX SIZED GRIMM!

Star: Shut your whining you tackled a nevermore into a mountain (-_-). Now sit back and let me handle this, it's my turn to put on a show.

Star's first official weapon disappeared out of thin air then a second one appeared into her right hand, it was a golden two-handed sword she wielded that was created by Kyon for her special fighting style, called; "Argent Wolf King's Blade!" Or in simpler terms a BIG ASS SWORD that's strong, light, and super affective.

At this point Ruby was out cold from the weapons she's seen thus far. (Y/n) kept her close so she wouldn't fall off the railing.

Star let off a flurry of attacks that would normally kill any grimm but with one this size, it barely made it tickle. Star got hit with its tail getting flung into a wall, this made Glynda flinch from the impact, her hands clinched together the more she got up and got hit.

Star: You know some help would be SO HELPFUL!

Kyon: You said you had it.

Star: Screw what I said, if we beat this thing the faster we can get out of here!

Star was in the middle of fighting for her life while Kyon watched from the back with his arms crossed.

Kyon: Sure, just say, "Kyon I need your help because I didn't know what we I was doing." Then maybe I'll consider.

Star: OH YOU DIRTY B-

Kyon: AH AH time's wasting and you don't know where to attack it either, with all those magic abilities your still not-

Star was flung next to him, he only side stepped letting her land into the wall, she gave him a stare knowing what to do next.

Kyon: Ughh fine you owe, aim for its head, right in between its forehead to be specific.

He rushed towards the grimm at a great speed to avoid getting stomped on, he landed on its tail being flung upwards. While in midair he turned his body downwards creating a bow n arrow out of electricity, powerful enough to string the monster. The arrow connected to the top of its sending a huge volt of electricity down its armor that was on its head going all the way down its spin.

With Star's magic Kyon and her were able to switch places in seconds however Kyon landed on his neck when it happened, Star propelled herself down as fast as possible then caused a decent number of slashes to its body. She threw the sword in the air making it land in the spot where it should be.

Star snapped her fingers that caused the grimms body to be covered in darkness disintegrating the body completely.

Kyon: My head.. ow.

Glynda sighed in relief looking down at Star smiling. The crowd of students erupted in cheers and chants, with smaller conversations on the side. Ozpin soon came to the arena greeting the two new huntsmen in training.

Ozpin: You both sure did put on quite a show, I'm sure we were all satisfied with that performance. Welcome to Beacon Academy to both of you.

The students cheered once again, the two walked out the arena to be met with (Y/n), Team RWBY and JNPR.

(Y/n): Congratulations you two, that was an awesome performance!

Yang: MHM I agree

Ruby: YourweaponsaresocoolIwantthemletmeseethempleaseee!!

Kyon and Star looked at the red-headed girl with confused looks.

(Y/n): She's talking about your weapons that you designed and fought with, she's a weapon fanatic.

Kyon: 'Marry Me!'

Star: Who are these guys behind you?

Kyon shifted to see a blonde-haired kid, orange haired girl with massive thighs, a taller ninja then a red-headed spart-

Kyon: YOU

Star: W-What is it!?

Pyrrha: H-Hello... It's been a while hasn't it h-hehe...

Kyon stood there before leaping towards her, luckily enough Star was able to stop him when she did.

Kyon: I HATE YOU PYRRHA NIKOS!! WITH EVERY FIBER OF MY BEING, I HATE YOU, YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID!

(Y/n): Calm down!

Kyon growled more trying to get out of Star's grip. The two groups watched the 3.

(Y/n): What is this about!? Pyrrha wouldn't hurt a fly

Kyon: Then you don't know her like I DO! Remember what I told you by the river about a friend of mine. This is who it was. The one and only Pyrrha Nikos, a lying, heartbreaking, untrustworthy whor-

Star: You better not finish that Ky.

(Y/n): Oh man this will take awhile...
