Chapter 3

(Y/n)

It's been a few months since (Y/n)'s passing and things couldn't have been more awkward at Beacon Academy. Even though the teams have resumed class like normal, they try to act as normal as possible but it still couldn't be the same. JNPR was pretty much back to normal, RWBY not so much but to the other teams they seemed somewhat fine, however behind closed doors Ruby was still saddened and heartbroken, Yang kept doing her best to keep Blake as happy as possible, Blake's feelings were conflicted yet again, and Weiss was traumatized. She hasn't had a goods night rest in so long, every time she closed her eyes all she could see was (Y/n) getting stabbed in the chest and her being too powerless to do anything to help. She's barely spoken to anyone about it, not seeing a reason too, no one could help but (Y/n) she wishes that she could see him in person one more time.

Velvet has started to get back into the mix of things, her and Fox's relationship have been on the rocks recently but hopefully all is well.

-???: Somewhere unknown-

(Y/n)'s POV

It felt as if I were floating in a endless void. I know I'm dead all things considered I mean i literally blew up but I can't open my eyes, why can't I open my eyes?!

Before I knew it I landed in something cold then I was able to open my eyes and see that I was under water, then out of nowhere I felt a force pull me up from under.

-End of POV-

(Y/n): *GASP and Coughing*

???: You finally made it.

Looking up (Y/n) saw 2 beings standing in front of him

(Y/n): Uhh hello?

Yellow: I'm surprised you've made it here so soon. It's fascinating that your spirit brought you here and not straight to the after life.

Purple: Interesting indeed.

(Y/n): Wait so what're you saying?

Yellow: It means you're not dead, well not yet at least. Only very special people are able to meet us before passing.

Purple: Then we grant them with a choice however you my dear child are different I can feel it.

Yellow: We've been watching over you for some time now, we've seen what you are capable of and your sacrifice. However it should've killed you but your body still remained in tact.

(Y/n): Are you saying I'm able to return to the living?

Purple: Precisely, but if you return you will not be the same as you were before.

(Y/n): What will change?

Yellow: We can't tell you everything my child.

Purple: However

The purple figure raised its hand as well as the yellow figure. Both their hands were engulfed in darkness & light

(Y/n): Wait! Will I ever see you two again?

Yellow: In due time.

Purple: We entrust you with this power, use it will for you are...

Silence

Before (Y/n) could say anything everything went white

(Y/n): *GASPS*

???: Well look who's awake, aye demon! He's up.

-Beacon Academy: Ozpin's office-

Ozpin called in team Rwby and Velvet into his office. Next to Ozpin stood a man with little bit of white hair and smelled like atlas, General Ironwood.

Ozpin: I'm sure you're wondering why I called you all here, it was to grant you with this.

Ironwood placed a suitcase in front of the kids, once he opened it their eyes widened to see (Y/n)'s sword now broken in two. It was only half of the sword.

Ironwood: We managed to pull this from the battle sight and decided to bring it here.

Ozpin: I'm sure he would want someone he trusts to have it.

Ruby: Yeah.. who? Because if anyone is going to take it it would be me.

Velvet: Excuse me?

Ruby: You heard what I said.

Velvet: He was my best friend! I grew up with him we're like family so easily it should belong too-

Blake: I was jus girlfriend and first love If anything-

Ruby: We share a dorm Blake we'd see it regardless.

Velvet: Didn't you cheat on him with Yang?

Blake growled not wanting to remember that she did hurt him

Yang: Wait, where's Weiss?

Weiss booked it down the hallway with the sword in the suitcase making it all the way to (Y/n)'s dorm without being stopped.

She knelt down looking at the sword, she didn't hear anything but her own breath and heartbeat.

The sword kept bringing back memories then she heard:

"You let me die Weiss.."

Weiss: W-What? (Y/n)?

"You left me there to die, I needed you!"

Weiss: I tried, I'm sorry I didn't I..I..

"You're a failure... you should've died in my place, I didn't deserve to die."

Weiss: I know! And I'm sorry! I should've been stronger! I should've told you how I felt!

"I despise you..you're everything I hate!"

Her heart shattered hearing that, her world seemed to crack and fade. Being haunted by him, even seeing hallucinations of (Y/n) after the incident.

-Back with (Y/n)-

???: Well looks who's awake, aye demon! He's up.

The dark skin male walked away as a woman with green and black hair walked up to him shining a light in his eyes making him follow it.

Girl: Well he's seems to not be blind

She elbowed (Y/n) in the gut

(Y/n): OW! SHIT!

Girl: Response to pain is normal and the hole in his chest healed up nicely.

(Y/n) sat up wincing in pain from the elbow.

Girl: Very interesting, your eyes changed color.

(Y/n): I'm sorry, What're you talking about?

Girl: You have silver eyes before when we found you they weren't.

She put a mirror in (Y/n)'s face

(Y/n): 'When the hell did I get silver eyes!? Although not going to lie it doesn't look bad.'

After staring at his own eyes for a few seconds he looked up at the girl

(Y/n): I assume you saved me?

Girl: Yes, well kinda for the most part my friend here healed you I just helped.

The guy in the corner kept his arms crossed

(Y/n): Who are you two and where are we anyway?

Girl: My name's Star, the jackass over there that doesn't speak much is named Kyon.

Kyon flipped her off

Star: He doesn't speak much to people he doesn't know it's hard for him to trust people at first.

(Y/n): Well it's a pleasure to meet you both, but it doesn't explain where we are.

Kyon: Its my home.

(Y/n): This place is huge!

Kyon: Bathroom is down the hall and hot spring's is in the back.

He said mono-toned while walking away to his room.

(Y/n): What's his deal?

Star: Like I said earlier Kyon isn't to keen on meeting new people, he has trust issues because of what happened to him in his past.

(Y/n): And what about you?

Star: As you can tell I'm not as mean as that jackass.

Kyon: Shut up demon!

Star: *giggled* it's fun being able to tease him though. You can guess I'm the more relaxed and chill one.

(Y/n): Before we continue I need to know how I'm here right now.

Star: Sure. After your little kamikaze Kyon found you in the middle of a huge crater in the middle of the aftermath. You had bigger holes in your body I'll tell you that much, but me and him were able to close them and heal you.

(Y/n): How long have I been unconscious for?

Star: Few months give or take.

(Y/n): A FEW MONTHS!?

Star nodded and (Y/n) quickly got up only to be naked.

(Y/n): GAH WHERE ARE MY CLOTHES!?

Star looked unfazed

(Y/n): ARE YOU NOT NERVOUS!? AH!

He quickly covered himself with the blanket he was laying under which caused Star to laugh.

Star: Oh Noo I like girls so I'm not fazed by that

(Y/n): Oh well uhh good to know I guess.. how old are you

Star: I'm..24, Kyon is 17 about to turn 18-

(Y/n): He's 17!? And owns this!? We're the same age!

Star: Yeah. Look it's a long story you'll know when he tells you himself I won't tell you for him. He maybe an ass but he's caring even though I maybe older and have more experience, I couldn't have gotten this far without him so don't give him a super hard time.

(Y/n): Got it but I need clothes so I can be on my way.

Star: To where if you don't mind me asking.

(Y/n): Beacon Academy I'm training to be a huntsman.

Star: Beacon huh? Haven't been there in, u don't even know how long it's been.

(Y/n): You were there also?

Star: A few years ago but I had to leave for..personal reasons but I would love to go back and finish.

(Y/n): Then you should come along also another thing.

Star: Yes?

(Y/n): MY CLOTHES!! That would be nice!

Star gave him some folded up clothes to put on and (Y/n) wasted no time putting it on.

-Small TimeSkip-

(Y/n): So, if you don't mind me asking what's your story.

Star: I've been around for awhile helping Kyon out with training and such, however before hand I trained to be a huntsman because I wanted to stray away from the family business.

(Y/n): I see, but why did you leave Beacon?

Star: Wanted to keep some people I hold dear safe. Whatever the case may be I held them higher than myself and cared for them.

(Y/n): So how'd you find him?

Star: Well actually he found me. I was lost and being hunted by grimm and some "friends" when I was ready to give up he was there and helped me in my time of need. He put his life on the line for someone he didn't know.

(Y/n): He doesn't seem like it.

Star: You'll see it in due time, anyways when are you going to head out to Beacon

(Y/n): Soon I still need to get some strength back, I wouldn't make it there and i don't know the way back.

Star: Good call, hope you don't mind if Kyon and myself tag along to get you back to Beacon. We know the way and personally I think it'll help mr grumpy over there.

She suggested looking over at Kyon who was working on his weapon.

Star: I think Beacon will be good for him, he's been alone for a long time. Although you will have to convince him.

(Y/n): How if he doesn't talk, he doesn't necessarily seem like the type to have a normal, friendly conversation.

Star: Only way for you to find out is to go talk to him and try. I promise he's not that bad.

(Y/n) walked up to Kyon grabbing his shoulder

(Y/n): Hey man-

His sentence was cut short due to getting sucker punched in the face making (Y/n) land on his back.

Kyon: Don't touch me.

Kyon grabbed his weapon walking back to his room with a deadpan look on his face.

(Y/n): This is going to take awhile

He turned to see Star about to burst into laughter.

(Y/n): That wasn't funny.

Star: I'll go talk to him, I did warn you though.

She got up walking after Kyon but (Y/n) just laid on the floor sighing

(Y/n): I won't be going home any time soon... I hope everyone is okay back home.

(Alright I hope you guys enjoy this chapter, it's smaller than the others I've done so far. BUT our hero is back from the dead and met two new people Kyon and Star. One being my Oc (Kyon) and the other is my friend's Raikiri81
