•Alan's POV•

I was currently walking down the school hallway in glee. Everything was perfect between Austin and I right now. He had just dropped me off for school because he had a doctors appointment and said he would be back by lunch. He had kissed me sweetly goodbye and handed me my coffee and muffin that he had picked up before hand.

I had one more block before it was lunch time and I couldn't wait to see Austin. The bell rang and I skipped to my locker to get my things for my next class. As I stuffed my extra binder into the locker a pair of arms wrapped around me and I was being drug backwards. I started to yell but a tattooed hand was placed over my mouth. I kicked my legs and looked around the empty hallways nervously. No was was around. No one saw what was happening. I kicked harder but that only caused the person to curse and slip me over their shoulder. When they did I got a good look at them. It was Ronnie. I had never spoken to him, only glances were shared at the lunch table. I knew Ronnie was dangerous. Heck he was known for beating people black and blue.

We stopped and a door was opened. Next thing I knew my small body was thrown on to the cold tiles of the bathroom floor.
"Look how pathetic! Why would Austin want something so weak." A very annoying voice said. "Seriously Ronnie, first glance who would you choose?"
Lacy said and walked over to circle me. Her fingers danced on my shoulder and I saw Ronnie smirk.
"You babe."
"That's my point! But here Austin is with this disgusting mutt. He thinks he's in love but he really just feels sorry for the excuse of a person that he is. " she said to Ronnie before pecking him on the cheek and moving back over to me.

As I sat on the ground I couldn't help but agree that I was pathetic, this whole time I hadn't moved or even said a word. I was intimidated and scared by these two. Mostly Ronnie.
"Look at me Alan." Lacy said and I kept my eyes trained on the floor. "I. Said. Look. At. Me." She said before grabbing my hair and twisting my head upwards.
"You realize he's just going to leave you right? He's going to see that you aren't worth the trouble and leave. Your 'mate' bond won't be enough to keep you both together." She smiled sickly sweet and then ruffled her hands through my hair. "But until then I think mutts like yourself should get what they deserve." I stared at her confused and then yelped when the end of her pointed high heel was jabbed into my ribs.
"Have fun Ronnie." She smiled and kissed his cheek before waving at me and leaving the bathroom.

Ronnie stared at me sinisterly before lifting me up by my arms.
"Please." I cried and he just smiled at me before slamming his fist into my nose. I fell back against the wall and after that it was nothing but a blur of fists and feet. I was hurting everywhere and I wanted it to stop. I had tried screaming but that only resulted in a kick to my face and now tears just streamed freely down my face. My vision was starting to become spotted and I was curling in on myself. I didn't know how long I had been here and Ronnie wasn't letting up easily either.

I tried to crawl away and plead with him but that didn't work. He didn't care. He lifted my battered body off the ground and smirked at me.
"You know beside the fact that your a mutt and a dude your not that bad looking." He said and trailed a hand down my cheek. I froze up instantly. That wasn't going to happen. I didn't care what I had to do. While Ronnie eyed me I was frantically trying to think of some way to get away from him, but apparently my body was thinking of a plan itself.

I felt the familiar tingling sensation of shifting and I didn't know whether to be relieved or scared. I cried as Ronnie's hand slid down my side and rested against my backside. He brushed my hair back and tried to lean in but I just ended up throwing my head back banging it against the tiled wall. I slid to the floor but this time when I slowly opened my eyes I say furry paws instead of my feet.

I looked up and Ronnie was staring down confused. I bolted for the door. I may not be hurting as bad since I shifted but I wasn't an animal that could exactly protect itself. I was a cat! Basically the size of a month old kitten for crying out loud! I was vulnerable before shifting but even more so now. I pawed at the closed door and shrank into a corner when I realized I couldn't get out. Ronnie stalked towards me and picked me up by my tail. I shrieked out and he laughed.

"Aww poor little kitty we can't have any fun now. What a shame. " he bounced my small body in the air and then grabbed me by the neck. He squeezed slowly and I pawed at him with my claws. "Don't worry kitty you're gonna live, just wanna cause you a little pain. Make you learn your lesson." I yelped and whimpered and clawed at him harder. I must have cut him pretty good at some point because he dropped me to the ground. I fell and I heard a crack but at the moment I didn't care I needed to get out of here.

"You little shit." Ronnie said and strode towards me again. I ran through his legs, but it was difficult and I stopped halfway because of the pain I was in. My front left paw was broke or I assumed it was. I was whimpering as he turned towards me again.
"Now that's a bad kitty don't run away from me." He reached to grab me and it was like everything turned into slow motion.

The door to the bathroom opened and I ran. Ran as fast as I could ignoring the pain as best as I could. I made it in the hallway and didn't slow down. I heard Ronnie cussing from the bathroom but he never came after me. I slowed down slightly and limped to Vic's classroom. His was the closest and I didn't want to go to the office.

I finally made it to the room and pawed frantically at the door.
"What's goin-" the teacher said opening the door but I just ran between his legs and right to Vic's seat. I heard people 'aww' but Vic gasped and immediately picked me up.
"Alan are you okay?" He asked and touched me gently. I whimpered and yelped when his fingertips touched my hurt paw. Vic scooped me in his arms and left the room, yelling to the teacher that he wouldn't be back.
