It had been two long weeks since June almost died. She wasn't waking up and they were sure she was hibernating but with the wounds she suffered it was bad. Garfield didn't leave her side hardly at all or sleep, or shower, or eat and it was showing. Garfield blamed himself because he had his back turned to the guy she mulled. It was way past her birthday but everyone still hoped when she woke up she would be happy seeing her part decorations hanging up but the balloons deflated fast and had to be thrown out. Garfield was more then tempted to start using the sleeping pills but then one of the presents he got her would be worthless or worse a lie.

"Please Garfield just take one to help you sleep," Wally begged as he was holding a single sleeping pill in his hand.

"Wally I almost killed myself on those things! I was addicted to them alright I was taking almost ten of those a day! Even if it's just melatonin I will not take it! I swore to never ever take another sleeping pill again. June got me off of them and I am staying off," he informed.

"Garfield you haven't slept in three days I checked the cameras! You will literally die without sleep! If you won't take one then alcohol just take something to make you sleep please otherwise Conner will knock you out!" Wally informed.

"I'm fine!" Garfield growled.

"If you were fine then you would be sleeping! We are all worried about her okay! We love her to and it's not fair she chose you over everyone else, but she did so I respect her decision. Do you think June would want you sitting here wasting away?!" Wally growled.

"What do you mean not fair?! Not fair is every time I get a girlfriend you all steal her away from me! Not fair is finding out she cheats on you with his friends! Do you know how many girls you took from me that I liked?! Three! June actually loves me and doesn't make fun of me behind my back or demands I take care of her all the time. She would rather talk to me then screw me 24/7 like the other girls I dated. She actually likes talking to me and hearing what I have to say rather then getting laid. Not fair is having to warn her that all you guys are freaking pigs! She doesn't flirt with you she is just trying to be nice and helpful, but you guys twist it into something else. She gets it but sometimes it's to late and it makes her uncomfortable," he growled.

"Guys calm calm down, I know we are a a bit on edge here since June got really hurt but we need to relax. Come on Garfield let's get you feed and cleaned up, I don't want June to freak out when she wakes up," Conner said with a slight smile.

"You mean if," Garfield said as he saw June laying in bed and he was close to crying again.

"No I mean when, come on. Trust me she is way to stubborn to give up. I mean if she kept you off those pills with her persistence then I know she will wake up any moment to see you," Conner informed.

He helped Garfield up and walked him to the showers to get him cleaned up but once Conner left Garfield lost motivation to even stand up so once the shower water was turned on he just on the bathroom floor with his cloths on upset at everything. He could almost feel June sitting by him trying hard to make him feel better but he knew that feeling wasn't real. How did she even do that to begin with? She couldn't shape-shift at all... was she pregnant?! It was certainly possible with how much they have done things and he was just hoping the birth control would work.

"Hey you aren't showering," Roy said as Garfield looked at him sadly.

"Well the water is running isn't it?" He asked.

"Please come on Garfield," Roy begged.

"You all have it so easy, I lose everyone I get close to and you guys don't really. You guys can brush it all away without a second thought and I can't. None of you understand but June did. She knew what it's like to feel like a nobody surrounded by somebody's," he sighed.

"June will be okay," Roy said softly

"I hope so," Garfield said softly as he just leaned on the wall and continued to sulk in the shower.

June woke up and felt cold so she wrapped a blanket around herself without even thinking about it. She looked around and saw she was in the Infirmary and sighed. She had passed out yet again. She was to tired to really noticed that as she walked down the hall she turned into a bear again and went strait to the kitchen since she was starving.

"Hey Conner," June said as Conner dropped his spoon in his soup.

"H-hi..." he said as he quickly got out his phone and texted Roy to get Garfield fast.

"I can't belive I passed out! I haven't done that in so long. I mean me and Garfield did a lot of today but... sorry TMI," she said as he nodded.

"It's fine... June do you know what day it is?" He asked as she chuckled.

"The third! Three days until I turn 18, duh," she smiled as she went to grab something out of fridge.

But to her horror she saw a bear claw making her scream. Then she saw her reflection in the fridge and screamed again.

"I'm a bear! Conner why didn't you tell me?!" She screamed as she looked down at herself.

"Oh my god I'm naked!" She yelled as she frantically tried to get out of the kitchen but she turned into a massive moose as soon a Megan screamed.

"Moose?! I'm a moose?! Where is Garfield?!" She screamed as Megan tried to calm her down. 

"June calm down okay deep breaths," Megan said as she heard a sqeaky toy being played with.

"Calm?! CALM?! I am turning into animals and I don't know why!" She yelled as she turned into a wolf.

"Hey Conner do you think that Jack will like this toy?" Wally asked as June tackled him down and started ripping his pants off or tried to.

"Get off of me you crazy animal!" Wally yelled as he kicked June off of her.

"Wally it's June!" Megan yelled as June whimpered and went to to hide from him.

"June?!" Garfield yelled as he had ran out of the shower and had went go go find her.

"Garfield?! What's wrong with me?!" June cried as she turned into a mouse right in front of him.

"June?! June okay so you can shape-shift that's a thing now. You have been unconscious for two weeks, do you feel okay?" He asked.

"Two weeks?! I missed two weeks of school, I will never graduate, my GPA is down the toilet now. I wanted to be a certified Zoo keeper," she said as she started crying.

"You still catch up, just take some time off work," he said as she stood up angrily in his hand.

"Garfield I'm a tiny ass mouse now! I'm a freak, I can't turn back I have tried but I keep changing into animals and I'm naked! I attacked Wally thinking he was a toy when he had a chew toy in his hand! I can't fix this and I'm going to be an animal forever. Might as well just keep me in a tiny cage or dump me somewhere," she cried.

"We can fix this I promise, you just need to relax a bit. You aren't a freak I can shape-shift to," he said as she hopped down from his hands.

"And if I can't?! I won't be human anymore... might as well just find a new girlfriend," she cried as she ran off.

"June wait a second!" Garfield yelled as he went chased after her.

She ran into her room and Garfield went into her room.

"June, I love you okay I don't care that you turn into animals. I do it and honestly I'm more of a freak then you are. I'm freaking green! Yet you still love me for me. I honestly don't know why because I am a screw up but I'm glad you do. We can fix this okay, I will help you with it," he said as he grabbed a present from under her bed and he opened it for her.

"Garfield we barely have been dating!" She yelled as he got out a ring for her.

"It's not that type of ring! It's a promise ring, I promise you that I was never going to take sleeping pills ever again. Also if I break my promise you can take me out and skin me alive," he said as she turned into a wolf

"Garfield you really got me a ring to make sure you don't laps again?" She asked as she was close to tears.

"Yeah... I know I have been feeling the need to take some recently because of my nightmares but I don't want to be that person anymore. I thought you were going to die and I was so angry at myself for letting my guard down when I shouldn't have. I assumed everything was over instead of checking for myself and it was to late..." he said softly.

"Hey, what ever happened it wasn't your fault," she said softly.

"I was so worried about you, there was so much blood and I had planned to make you that promise on your birthday. I know it's a stupid thing to do but the amount of time I wanted to be better for you...us. I'm not a good guy really even though I try to be. I promised myself that I would be better so many times and it just never stuck. I didn't feel like I was worth it but you made me feel like I was worth it. That I was a somebody that people needed. I just hated myself for a long time and with the help you gave me I... it's not as bad and I can live with it now," he said she turned back into a human.

"I always felt like I was unwanted by humans and it hurt me a lot and it drove me crazy trying to figure out what I could do to make them want me. Nothing was going to change there mind at all. When I saw the pills I just thought you had so much to live for way more then I ever had. I had Milo and that was it then I got a job at the zoo. I know if Milo wasn't hibernating right now he would be telling you how much he loves you. All of my animal friends love you because you actually try to understand what they are trying to say to you.

I have no idea what happened to me and I'm sorry I was gone for however long. But you are doing great okay. You are a great guy and I couldn't choose anyone better. You always make sure I'm comfortable and that I feel loved because you knew I never really got to feel that. I trust you fully and I except your promise because I will hold you to it," she smiled as he hugged her.

"I'm so glad your back I missed you so so much," he said as he started crying.

"Me to, hey I'm human again," she smiled.

"Told you that you needed to relax," he said softly as he just held her tightly nor wanting to let her go ever again.
