"I didn't think they were serious!" Kartini cocked an eyebrow.

"I'm gonna miss your ass" my boyfriend Alec comments

"I know it won't be much fun without me will it?" I smirk and he walks closer to me placing his hands on my hips "I meant it in a literal sense" he whispered against my neck.

"Gross! Guys, we're in public!" Kartini shouts for attention.

"We didn't even do anything" I chuckle.

"Yeah well if I didn't say anything Alec would've, Kartini" She says while entering Beacon Park HighSchool.I've only been there two years and I already know so much.

"I can't believe it's your last day" Kartini whines "you can't leave me!"

"Trust me I don't want to but it's better than here right?"

"Bro If anything it's worse!" She told me

"In Boarding school don't they just treat you like inmates and tackle you if you don't obey?"

"It's way worse than that it's gonna be like both of our school's deans combine!" Kartini tells me.Our School's Dean;Mr Curran and Rombaeus are the worse of the worse.If you got as much as two tribulations with any of them within a week and you didn't make it out of their offices you wouldn't survive a day at boarding school.

"Guys it can't be that bad" I lie, I had no idea what it was going to be like.

"Hey do you wanna hang out after school for your last day?" Alec asks

"Can't but I could skip all my classes and hang at the park.Classes really don't matter anyway if I'm leaving" I suggest.

"Cool after first period though alright because they've already locked the doors" he says.

"I can come too right?" Kartini asks as if she wasn't apart of our friend group.

"Is that even a question Kartini?" She smiles and I walk into my first period class.Not a lot of people knew that I was transferring yet and I didn't really care if they knew because I barely talked to any of those idiots.

"Mrs Cruz late again I see?" My homeroom teacher mrs Shepard announced to the class looking me up and down with the corner of her  upper lip raised.

"Well tardiness isn't something I can just do on my own Miss Shepard and you yourself are one of the reasons why I am late when you hog two parking lot spaces with you smart car." I smile in annoyance and pettiness when the true laughter of the few idiots from my class filled the room.

"Take you're seat Miss Cruz!"

"Whatever Jen" she squinted her eyes directly at mine since I'd called her by her first name but it didn't matter, I didn't have to see her crabby face for the rest of the year.

Before I'd realized it class was over, so as usual I was the last one out the door.The halls were crowded from kids being dismissed from class and heading to their next ones.I slipped pass the students bumping into a few and headed for the main entrance.There's always a security guard blocking the entrance for safety precautions but thankfully he was sleeping on the job.I pushed the big door's metal handle and slip through the entrance and out of Beacon Park.

This was the last time I would ever be here and I felt great.I sprinted down the block by black Aldo bag hitting my tailbone with every step.
When I got to the park they were already hanging out at its big 100 year-old tree near open space where there was just grass.

They were smoking, well Kartini was smoking, Alec was vaping which was pretty much the same thing.I don't do drugs, I don't do cigarettes.My grandfather died from a stroke because of all the smoking he did.I would inhale it's intoxicating smell when around him. I didn't understand why they'd put death to their lips.

"Aerona hey do you have a light?" Kartini asks.

"You know I don't Smoke." I say

"Oh yeah, there's a beer bottle in my purse for you by the way." She says letting Alec light her cigarette whilst in way between her lips.I threw my Aldo bag onto the ground against the tree and crouched down to dig into Kartini's purse for the beer bottle.It was at the bottom of the purse and so I had to dig some of her Kylie lip kits and Tampax out of the way in order to reach it.

I ripped the cap off after the fifth try and put the beer bottle to my lips taking a fresh first gulp.It wasn't the strongest because I didn't like it strong it left me with bad hangovers.I stood up with the bottle still to my lips and Alec had just sucked in nicotine from the pen and blew it out through his mouth  causing me to inhale the smoke.I gagged and chocked on my drink and Alec just laughed.

"C'mere" he chuckled and I smiled and walked up to him.He took me into his arms and hug me tightly "I really am going to miss you." He whispered and my smile grew bigger as my insides churned.I may have gave attitude but I have a heart my parents think I'm some asshole who doesn't care about anyone but I'm so much more than that.

He dug his head deep into my neck and I could see kartini glaring at us as she let the smoke out of her mouth.Alec brought his lisp closer to mine and I must've not realized he had taken another sip of his pen because as soon as our lips touched he blew the intoxicating smoke into my mouth and I gaged and fell to the ground getting wet dead grass attached to my ass.

Kartini shakes her head and turns her head tot he side and Alec laughed harder than before.
"I Hate You!" I say "I love you," he says back grabbing my hand pulling me up from the ground and actually kissing me this time with his hands on my waistband and mine around his neck.

I returned home five o 'clock sharp and not a minute later but mother thought otherwise so she sent my father to the house to see if I was actually there since she was busy at work.I walked into my room and saw there was a uniform laid upon my bedsheets.She really wants kidding about sending me away.Ive really used all of my chances, I just didn't think she'd go through with it.

I sigh and sit beside the uniform for better examination.The cloth felt papery and uncomfortable as I felt it crinkle upon my fingers.There was a tight black skirt with a thin brown strip across its hem and there was a plain white long sleeve buttoned shirt.There was also a black tie crisscrossed with thin brown lines and black shoes to go with it.

I pulled the shirt over my head instead of buttoning it because I was stubborn and lazy and that's how I got things done.Probably one of the things my mother wants to change about me.I put each leg through the skirt and pulled it up tucking the shirt in.I tightened the tie around my neck until I almost chocked from suffocation and slipped on the shoes.I looked at the long mirror and pulled out the shirts collar.I was disgusted by my appearance in this clothing.

I narrowed my eyebrows and shook my head as I kick off the shoes and grab a pair of my favorite long boots and zip them on instead.Still no good.I loosened the tie until the tip of it was at stomach.Not good enough.Im untucked the shirt and roll up the sleeves to elbows and I raise my skirt up to my waist.I pull on my black leather jacket and I stained my lips with a NYX dark colored lipstick. "Better," I say aloud to myself looking into the mirror while flattening out my shirt with my palms.

"Aerona?!" I hear my name being called from down stairs and it was my mother."Ughhhh" I groaned loud enough so she could hear me and rolled my eyes to the back of my head.

"Get down here!" She yelled

I grabbed my suitcase and my phone that was placed on my drawer and drag myself down the stairs into her presence."What in gods name do you think you're wearing?!" She cocks her head in shock.

"The uniform," I say with a serious face acting like I didn't know what she was talking about.

"Aerona you know damn well what I'm talking about!" She said flapping my leather jacket by hitting it."Remove the jacket, wipe off the lipstick, lower your skirt!" She pulled down my skirt my the hem for me."Say goodbye to your father and siblings and then meet me in the car!" She grabbed her keys and left through the front door.

I sigh and hesitantly remove my jacket.Just because she said I couldn't wear it now it doesn't mean she would know if I wore it in boarding school.So I opened up my suitcase and shoved my jacket in there along with the dark colored lipstick from NYX in its pocket next to my journal in it's top right hand corner.I wiped my lips with my hand leaving its colored marks on my hand and I walked into the kitchen to say goodbye to my father.

He was cooking dinner for Ace and Ashley.It was his famous Hispanic burgers as he'd call it.He said he learned to make them straight from the Dominican Republic.It smelled amazing and I just wanted a bite but alas I had a demonic bitch waiting for me in the car.

"Bye Dad," I say plainly and kiss him on the cheek.

"Goodbye Aerona, Behave please" he kisses me back.

I give a weak smile and then I make eye contact with the burgers as he places the finish product on the table for dinner.There was no plate where my seat use to be and that was the first sign that I was officially not living in this household any further.When my father had turned his back I'd taken a bite out of Ashley's burger because she barely ate hers anyway and then dashed out of the kitchen.

I entered the living room to see Ace on his PC playing Minecraft with some of his friends on Skype.I didn't think that game was still popular, I remember paying it at that age and it got pretty boring pretty fast.I removed his black Skull Candy headphones I'd gotten him for his birthday and they fall onto the couch cushions.

"Hey!" He yells at me "I'm sorry Justin my sister is being annoying" he sneered to his friend on Skype while grabbing his headphones and then he looked me up and down with an intrigued yet still bothered face."Why are you dressed like a man?"

I scoff "It's called a uniform!"

"But why is there a tie?" He asked biting the inside of his freckled cheeks.

"I don't know that's just how it is!"

"Well why are you dressed like that then?"

"Mom didn't tell you?"

"Tell me what?" He sighs placing his fingers back on the A, S, D and W keys.

"I'm leaving for boarding school!"

"Really?! Well Good Riddance" he smiles.

"Oh shut up I know you'll miss me." I say messing up his fawn hair."Love you" I smooch his cheek and he wipes it off and so I hit his head playfully.

"Ass!" I scoff acting offended whilst walking over to the living room door to say goodbye to Ashely but when my hand turned the door knob he called me "Aerona!"

"Yeah?" I ask turning to him.

"I love you too" he grinned and I gratefully return the favor with a smile.He was the only person in the family I could joke around with and not get in trouble because we both knew how it felt if you did.

I saw Ashely on the front porch being watched by my mother from afar.I grabbed my suitcase and pulled it for it to roll behind me and onto the concrete.I lifted it and dropped it into the trunk.I walked back over to Ashely and kissed her goodbye she was the worst to say goodbye to because I made her cry.She didn't want me to leave ma that made me tear up as well but not enough to cry.My mother saw the sadness in my eyes but her face stood emotionless.I kissed her cheek and hugged Ashely tightly and told her it go inside to father.

I watched her watch me get into the car and I touched the passenger seat window and I saw father wave and take her into the house.I was just on the verge of crying but my mother was besides me and driving as fast as a speeding bullet.She really wanted me gone so hurriedly that she wanted to rush to the city.I lean my head onto the window and close my eyes and then I hear her triggering words.

"I want you to know that you've brought this upon yourself Aerona.You!"
