"What did I tell you Hunter! She can't even speak dammit! She looks like she fucking murdered someone" Ryder viciously points to my half asleep face.

I felt better,Ryder had given me an Advil from somewhere and I'd taken the longest nap I had in a while.I could already feel the blood rushing back to my face enlightening my mood.I just wish the cursing and arguing would stop over the past five minutes I was eavesdropping on a conversation I wasn't suppose to and heard about the drugs in my water and if I wasn't feeling so at peace I'd be bashing Hunter's face in.

"I OD'd I'm sorry!" Hunter sulks after his apology.How does one just 'over do' something so badly such as adding a sleeping drug to a drink that it makes one not even remember the one before.I was struggling into life when I woken,I could barely move and the affects got worse after I left the infirmary.

"Sorry doesn't Cut it Hunter! I told you this one is mine...you're not gonna screw her over like you did Ariel!" Ryder spits causing hunter to just roll his eyes in annoyance and slouch down in a the teal beanbag chair besides me.

"She's a real Jawn this one,if we weren't here Ryder you could imagine the things I would do to her" he smirks in evilness whilst caressing my fingertips wanting to piss Ryder off his limits.

"Bet" Ryder coughs.

"You really want to take it that way?" Hunter scoffs standing back up walking close to Ryder intimidatingly."I would get her anyway and after I did i would still be able to have two other chicks on the side,even in this place" Hunters reaches for something behind Ryder and then all of a sudden it's to his plump pink lips and being lit with a golden liquid lighter.

"Fuck you Hunter" Ryder sighs and opens their dorm doors "Headmaster wants to speak with me and Maddox about the dealing again"

"Don't fuck it up Ryder! Same lie as always!" Hunter raises in eyebrows menacingly and Ryder nods in reassurance and exits the dorm.

"You can't speak now if you'd like" Hunter coughs "I know your awake"

"How?" I say opening my eyes and sitting upright.

"Your finger twitched when I touched it" he smirks and blows a familiar smoke out through his mouth.Ugh that disgusting intoxicating smell I inhaled from the cigarette he had was now viewable to me and this time I wasn't bothered by it.

"Want one?" He chuckles sheepishly after noticing how I was eyeing out the cigarette in between his fingers."Oh wait I forgot,you don't like drugs,would you prefer a beer?" He steps towards his mini fridge but I stick my hand out and stop him by grabbing his calf.

"I want one" I state and a peculiarly intriguing grin appears on his face because he must've heard the answer he wanted."You know if I gave you this Ryder would kill me" he grabs another cigarette from the corner of his desk in a mint box exactly where he took it before behind Ryder.

"I don't care" I shrug and take the cigarette out of his hand myself and gesture it out indicating that I wanted him to light it.He hold out his lighter and presses on its fork releasing the flame.I let the edge of the cigarette burn with the flame as they touched and watched the ashes fall as it withered the edge away.I hold the cigarette between my middle and index fingers and bring it to my lips and without thinking I've just smoked my first cigarette.

It made my body feel a bit tight and alive and have a rush of adrenaline run down my spine at the try of something new.There's an urge to cough as the smoke goes in,but I held that urge since I didn't want to embarrass myself in front of Hunter.It wasn't as grim as I thought it'd be,it gave this rather feeling of delight and it's like having your lungs wrapped in a warm blanket as you inhale.

"See...wasn't so bad was it? Ryder just doesn't want to lose—never mind" he says taking a puff of his own cig.

"What?! Tell me" I insist.

"There was a girl before you,her name was Ariel.She was fucking in love with Ryder as was he,they didn't go a day without each other. Then she got kicked out of this place and died of an overdose from the drugs I dealed her"

"I can see why he's so protective of me" I emphasize.I didn't see how Ryder could be so head over heels for me,I mean that's how Hunter put it.This strange feeling took over my body and my eyelids grew bitterly heavy and for the first time in ages I knew what I was feeling.I felt tired,I can't remember the last time I felt tired,and so I rest my head on hunters shoulder and I close my eyes and all I see is darkness.
