Prom
"Are we all friends again?" Isla asks.
Jessica chuckles and wipes her face. "It's a start."
"YAY!" Isla hugs Sarah's legs.
Sarah smiles and picks her up. "Hey put me down, you haven't even brushed your teeth!"
"Isla!" Jessica laughs.
Time went on and their relationship slowly became less awkward, and more like the way it was. They weren't as close, but that would take time.

Two weeks later.
Danny took Jessica out on a date. Jessica wore leggings and a sweater, her hair started off down but soon ended up in a messy bun.
Their date was at Top Golf. The couple ordered wings and a pizza to share before they played a game.
The evening was filled with lots of laughs. Neither one were a great golfer, so it definitely made for a good time.
Once they were finished the two cuddled.
"Listen. ."
"What?" Danny asked.
"There's no baby crying, or toddler screaming my name."
Danny laughs softly.
"Toddler. I don't even have a toddler anymore. She's a. . a freakin' kid!"
"Five years old. That's a whole hand, Mom."
"I know! Where has the time gone?"
"You miss having a little baby?"
"I do. . those times were so hard. But man they were great!" Jessica smiles. Her eyes glistening.
"You've always been so great with her."
"You too, mister."
"Thanks. I love my little Poopy."
Jessica laughs. "I cannot believe I said that in front of you."
"You thought you had to go! It's okay."
"It's so gross."
"Nah. It was just Isla!" Danny shrugs.
Jessica laughs and looks up to him. "You were so helpful. Thank you for being there for me."
"It was my pleasure. It was beautiful."
Jessica smiles.
"Plus, I got to see your butt."
"Oh God!" Jessica laughs.
Danny chuckles and their lips touch.

Today is January 31st. One day before Isla's 5th birthday.
Jessica sat in the living room holding Holly and feeding her a bottle.
"Mommy, is that big girl milk in there?"
"It's Gaga's milk."
"Ew!" Isla scrunches her nose. "How'd it get in that bottle?"
"It's magic!" Catherine smiles.
"Oooh! Magic!"
"Yep."
"Mama, were your boobies magic too?"
"Yes they were." Jessica laughs.
"Wow! I bet mine are too." She places her hands on her chest and looks down.
"Yes just give them time." Jessica giggles.
"Maybe on tomorrow because it's my birthday and Imma be five!"
"I'm not too sure about that, silly goose!"
"Well we'll see!" Isla shrugs.
Jessica laughs as Danny lets himself in the house. "Knock, knock!"
"Hey babe!" Jessica smiles.
"Well look at you looking all pretty feeding the baby." Danny smiles and walks closer. Jessica giggles as he leans forward and kisses her cheek.
"Say hi, Danny!" Jessica baby talks.
"Hi beautiful."
"Hey Danny, I'm here too and I'm the MOST Beautiful!"
Danny chuckles and lifts Isla. "You are beautiful, that's true. . Almost Birthday Girl!"
Isla giggles. "It is almost my birthday!"
"Are you excited?"
"Yep! And I want a brother!" Isla smiles.
Danny chuckles and turns to Jessica who instantly started nodding. "Sorry to disappoint you, Isla."
"I just want one little brother. Mommy acts like it's SO Hard!" Isla says in a dramatic tone.
"She sure does, doesn't she? That drama queen!"
"I KNOWWWW!!"

Two months later.
Over the last few months Sarah has struggled. She has struggled with herself. How could she have been so blind? So stupid? She's struggled with living life and having fun. Mentally Sarah isn't okay. Here she is in her senior year of high school. Talk of prom and graduation, summer plans and college planning. This should be the most incredible time of her life. Yet it isn't. Everyday she falls deeper and deeper into darkness.
This all became so much worse after Jessica forgave her. You'd think it would be the opposite, but seeing how her sister forgave her after how horribly she treated this incredible girl. It ate at Sarah every single day.
Sarah constantly apologized to Jessica. Jessica hated it always being brought up, but Sarah felt as though she could never stop. She felt terrible.
Today Sarah is at a local Farmers Market. Jessica's birthday is coming up and she thought she could find something for her younger sister. Her plan was to make a basket with a bunch of things Jessica likes. She's already purchased most of it, but still needs a few items to complete.
"Hey!"
Sarah looked up and groaned. "Ohhh Damn! What the hell, Sam? Are you stalking me? Do you have a tracker on me? Why are you Always there?"
"Oh come on Sarah, you love me!"
"Guess again. Why are you here?"
"I'm here with my mom."
"Nice. Goodbye."
"Hey!" Sam laughs. "What are you doing? You feeling any better?"
"I'm fine." Sarah has opened her heart to Sam recently. She regretted it instantly. Sarah hated sharing her feelings with anyone. She didn't want to be judged. Of course Sam would never judge her. He thought of her as a really good friend, and he only wanted to be there for her.
Sam takes Sarah's arm and she looks into his eyes. "You're not okay. I've known you long enough to know you're not."
Sarah doesn't speak.
"It's okay to not be okay. But it's not okay to do it alone. I'm here for you."
Sarah looks off and her eyes tear up. "I just feel so bad for her." Her voice went high. "I mean she seems okay and that's all because of Danny and Isla."
"And you."
"No." Sarah nods. "I'm happy she's happy, but I know she has her moments. . . it's all because of me. She's a good person and I hurt her!"
"You didn't." Sam rubs her shoulder.
Sarah immediately hits his arm away and says, "I did, and don't touch me!"
"I'm sorry. ."
". . . I can't look at her without thinking about what happened."
"You need to talk to her."
"I do!"
"You apologize. You need to tell her how you feel."
"Oh yeah, Sam. Jess, I know your life has been one heartache after another, but I'm sad. Listen to me!"
"Sar, that's not it. Just talk to her."
"I wish I had never met Evan."
"Me too."
"Sam will you please go?"
"Fine." Sam lifts his hands. "But if you need to talk, I'm here." He smiles.
". . Thanks."
"Another thing we can do! It's random but, I mean why not?"
"What, Sam?"
"We can hang out and watch friends since you constantly quote it."
Sarah chuckles and wipes her tears. "Not as much as you."

Jessica's 18th Birthday.
"You guys, I am officially a woman!" Jessica smiles.
"Happy Birthday, Mommy! You're a grown up lady now!" Isla smiles.
"I am!"
"She's still my baby!" Catherine throws her arms around her.
Jessica giggles. "Always, Momma."
Danny then let himself in. He picked Jessica up for school every morning.
"Happy Birthday, Jessica!"
"Thank you, Danny!"
Danny wraps his arms around her and kisses her lips.
"Oh gosh." Isla covers her eyes. "I hate when they do that gross stuff."
Catherine laughs and rubs her back.
Just then Sarah comes down.
"Happy Birthday, sis." She smiles softly.
"Aw! Thank you, Sarah! You didn't have to get me all this!"
"You deserve more. ."
Jessica smiles and takes her present. "This is very sweet."
Sarah smiles and hugs her sister tightly.
**
Later that day.
Danny sat next to Jessica during lunch when they heard music. It was some guy asking his girlfriend to prom in the most cheesy way.
Jessica smiled. "Aw that's sweet." She then sighs dramatically and says, "I guess I'm not going to prom."
"Uh. . Hello!" Danny says.
"Well I haven't been asked yet!"
"We see each other naked, I just assumed we were going together."
"Ew! You jerk!" Jessica punches his side. "I'm a lady and I want to be asked."
"I'm sorry. Will you please go to prom with me?"
"I never said I wanted to be asked by you."
Danny then wraps his arms around her and tickles her making her laugh loudly.
**
As Danny, Jessica and Sarah walk out of the school they hear music.
"Oh gosh, another one? Jess, do you want me to do that for you? Because I love you and I totally will if you want one."
"No, I don't want that. What I want is to go pick up Isla and get that burger you promised me."
"You've got it, baby!" Danny smiles. "Later, Sarah."
"Bye."
Sarah continued walking to her car. That's when she suddenly felt all eyes on her.
She looked up and noticed a crowd. "What?" She asks. "This is for me? I don't want it."
"Just go!" One girl smiled.
Sarah sighed and walked closer.
It was Sam holding a black sign that said, "The one where I ask you to Prom." in Friends font.
Sarah just stared at Sam who also held a bouquet of flowers. He had the most handsome smile on his face.
"Sam."
"I know you don't actually hate me. Come on, we're just going as Friends." He chuckles.
Sarah nods head and turns away from him leaving Sam alone and embarrassed in front of everyone.
