Two weeks later.

"Jessica, once you're finished with your chores, I need you to come in the kitchen and help me with dinner." Suzanne said.

"Can I please have a small break? I'm so tired." Jessica said on the verge of tears.

"Tired of what? You slept until almost noon today!"

"I just feel so worn out."

Suzanne looked Jessica in the eyes and placed her palm on her cheek.

Jessica's cheeks were a light shade of pink, and her eyes looked weak. "You don't look so good. Alright, fine. You can take a break. But only because I don't want to catch whatever you're coming down with."

"Thank you so much!"

Jessica walked upstairs and crashed as soon as her head hit the pillow.

The next morning during breakfast Jessica asked if she could go swimming with her friend Sarah.

"That's fine, you can go." Bill said.

"Really? Thank you!"

"But you have to be home by five. Understand?"

"Yes sir! Thank you so much! I'm gonna wear my new swimsuit you bought me!" Jessica smiles to Suzanne.

Jessica went upstairs to get dressed and to let Sarah know she could come over. Sarah and her father were going to be picking her up soon.

When they arrived Jessica took her shirt and shorts off.  Her swimsuit was on underneath.

"Woah I guess this is your summer, Jess!" Sarah says.

"What?"

"Everyone has a summer where they.. Sprout."

"Huh?"

"Your boobs are growing!"

"Oh!" Jessica then covers her chest and becomes self conscious.

"Don't be embarrassed about it! I'm still waiting on my time." Sarah laughs.

"Heh.. It's kind of annoying actually. Suzanne just bought me this swimsuit and now it barley fits me."

"Maybe it's all that vegan food you're eating.... Should I become vegan?"

Jessica laughs and playfully hits Sarah's arm.

Just then Sarah's mother pokes her head out to the backyard and says, "You girls have fun. Let me know when to order the pizza!"

"Ooh! Pizza?" Jessica smiles, and her eyes light up.

"Mhm!"

"With pepperoni?"

Sarah laughs. "Yep!"

"I love it here!"
