When arriving at Jessica's house, Danny behaved like a true gentleman and walked Jessica to the door.

"I had a lot of fun, Jessica."

"Me too, Danny." Jessica smiles. "It was nice to finally do this."

"Yeah, it was. Sarah's always there killing the mood."

Jessica laughs and playfully taps his chest. "Stop it, you love her!"

"Yuck!"

"Daniel." Jessica giggles.

Danny smiles and kisses Jessica's cheek.

Jessica smiles and they hear a knock on the window. It was Isla who had crawled over and hit her little fist on the glass.

"Oh Isla." Jessica looks down.

Danny laughs and opens the door. "Hey Poopy girl!" He lifts her up and kisses her cheek.

"Heyyyy! You back!"

"I'm back!"

"I got a yucky diaper."

"Classic Isla." Danny says making Jessica laugh.

"Change it!"

"Isla, stop. When are you gonna use the potty like a big girl."

"Uhhhh not today."

Danny chuckles and turns to Jessica. "Not today, mommy."

Jessica nods and takes her from Danny.

"No want you to change it, Mama!"

"Well I'm not going to make Danny change it if it's that yucky."

Isla looks to Danny and laughs.

"Change It!"

"Hard pass on that one, kiddo.  But I will see you tomorrow after school.  I'm bring you a big surprise!"

"YAY!" Isla claps her hands.

Jessica giggles. "Bye Danny.  Thank you again, it was so fun."

"You're welcome.  It was a lot of fun.  I'll see you tomorrow."

"Alright." Jessica smiles.

After shutting the door Jessica dances around with Isla. "Isla, that was the most amazing dinner ever!  I even had ice cream!"

Isla purses her lips and slaps Jessica's cheek. "I wan ice cweam!"

"Hey!  Don't do that."

Sarah laughs and says, "That's for not bringing us ice cream, huh Isla?"

The next day after school.

Danny picked up McDonald's and walked to Jessica's house.

"Isla, I'm here!"

"YAY!"

Danny walks into the kitchen to put their ice cream in the freezer, then walks to Isla and shows her the happy meals he bought.

"Donald's!" She cheers.

"Yeah!"

"Mommy go!  No can be at me n' Danny's date!"

"Oh you're kicking me out of yours and Danny's date?"

"Yes!  Go, Mama." Isla points to the stairs.

"Isla bug!  But I want McDonalds too!"

"He no bwing you some!"

Danny chuckles. "I left your nuggies on the table." He smiles.

Jessica smiles. "Thanks."

"Bye." Isla says with a straight face.

"I'm going!  Jeez, child!"

Jessica came down a while later and found Danny and Isla watching tv and laughing.

"This is funny stuff!"

"It is, isn't it, bug?"

"Yeah. Mommy!  No can be in here!"

"This is my house too, you goof." Jessica says taking a seat on the couch.

"I want her to stay down here, Isla."

"Why?"

"Cause I like her."

"You like my mommy?"

"Yep!"

Isla smirks. "You tink she pwetty?"

"I think she's SO pretty."

Isla laughs. "Okay!"

Danny then looks out the window and says, "Let's go to the park."

"Right now?"

"Yeah!  I'll grab her stroller."

"Alright.  Let me get her bag together."

"Look at the birds!  I wan dem, Mommy!"

"We can't take them home, but we can feed them."

"Not MY snacks!"

Danny and Jessica laugh.

"I just look at dems."

"Alright, you do that."

Danny and Jessica turn to each other, both sharing a smile.

"Jess?"

"Yeah?"

"I know we've been on one date but.. I've wanted this for so long and.."

"Yeah?"

"Would you like to be my girlfriend?  That doesn't mean we have to kiss or anything like that.  I just want you to know how much I care about you."

Jessica giggles softly. "I'd love to be your girlfriend."

"Really?"

"Yes.  And Danny.. thank you for understanding why I want to take things slow.  It really means a lot to me."

"Of course.. Girlfriend." He smiles.

Jessica laughs and says, "Boyfriend!"

Danny then hugs Jessica and she relaxes onto him.

Isla then looks up and makes a face. "What you doin?  I wanna go play!"

"Isla you can't, honey.  Your leg is still hurt."

"Hey if my girl wants to play, then that's what she's gonna do!" Danny says taking Isla out of her stroller.  He then walks to the playground and carefully climbs up before sliding down with Isla in his lap.

Jessica laughed and took their picture. "This is so sweet!"

"YAY!  This so much fun, guys!"

Danny kisses Isla's cheek and Isla shouts, "AGAIN!  AGAIN!"

"OKAY!  OKAY!"

Summer.

The Huston's and Paulsons are taking their annual summer trip to San Antonio.

Jessica is so excited because Isla is finally old enough to ride rides and actually get something out of the trip.

Once arriving at their hotel, Danny helped his parents out by holding his baby sister.  Isla did not like that at all.

Isla jumped up and down with her hands reaching up to him. "Hold me Dan!"

Danny chuckles and lifts her up.

"My two girls."

Anjelica giggled and playfully tapped Isla's arm.

Isla giggles and scrunches her nose. "The baby's playin wih me!"

"She is, isn't she?"

"Yeah!  My mommy's over there." Isla points.

"Well let's go see your pretty mommy."

Danny walks over to Jessica who is getting her things out of the van.

"Hey lady."

"Hey!  Well looks like you've got your hands full." Jessica smiles.

"I do." Danny chuckles.

Later that day they all went over to one of the theme parks. Isla had a blast on the rides she was tall enough for.  Once she fell asleep in the stroller, Jessica, Danny and Sarah rode the 'Big Kid' rides.

Sarah's dad got in on it too since he was a kid at heart.

"That one was horrible!  I shouldn't have eaten before getting on these rollercoasters." Jessica says with her hand over her stomach.

"That just makes things more thrilling!" Danny says.

"Let's get on one that isn't so exciting.  Let's get on the Ferris wheel." Jessica suggests.

"BORING!" Sarah says.

"Well you don't have to get on with us.  Come on, Jess." Danny takes her hand in his.

Jessica laughs and they run to get in line.

While in line Danny stood behind Jessica. He wrapped his arms around her and rested his chin on her shoulder.

"It's so hot today."

"Yes you are so hot." Danny says earring a love smack from Jessica.

Danny chuckles and kisses her cheek.

Jessica loved how respectful Danny is, but these cheek kisses just weren't cutting it anymore.

Once they got on the ride and went all the way up to the very very top, Jessica squeezed his hand and looked over the beautiful view.  She then looked into his eyes and smiled. "I love how much you respect me.  Daniel Huston, you make this fifteen year old girl feel like a true lady, and I really appreciate it."

"Aw, Boo."

"But even a lady can be a little naughty sometimes."

"What?"

Jessica interrupts him by kissing his lips and surprising Danny.

Danny kisses her back and places his hands on her.

Jessica pulls away and smiles.

"Wow!" Danny says in a goofy voice. "That was definitely worth the wait!"

Jessica giggles and places her forehead against his.

"You are so awesome."

"Thanks, Huston."

October.
Danny's birthday.

"I can't believe you're sixteen.  I'm such a baby!"

Danny laughs and says, "You'll be sixteen in a few months."

"I'm a baby." Jessica pouts.

"Well when you pout like that!"

Jessica cracks a smile and tickles Danny's side.

"You goin to my game tonight?"

"Yes and I'm bringing Isla. We shall see how that goes." Jessica chuckles.

"It'll be interesting!"

"Oh for sure! I'm excited for your birthday dinner though! You know I love Mexican food."

"I do! That's why I picked it."

"Danny! I want you to go somewhere you want."

"I am, but I also had to look out for my girl."

Jessica smiles and wraps her arms around Danny's waist. "That's me."

"That's you!" He pecks her lips.

"Wooo!" Jessica shouts making Danny laugh.

"GOOOO DANNYYYYY!" Isla shouts.

Jessica laughs as Isla stands on the bleacher and cheers her favorite football player on.

"You enjoying it, Isla?"

"Yeah! Mama Danny Boy so good!"

"He is." Jessica chuckles.

"Look! WOOOOO! He got a goal!"

"Not sure if that's correct, but Alright."

After the game everyone met at the restaurant.
Isla couldn't stop talking about watching Danny play. She was so proud of him.

"Danny we got you pwesents!"

"Aww Isla bug, you didn't have to do that."

"I know!"

Danny chuckles and opens his gifts.

"Dis da last one?"

"Yeah this is it, Isla."

"Dat too wittle!" Isla makes a face.

Danny laughs and opens the box.
"Keys.. Wait.  What?  Did y'all get me a car?!"

Zoe smiles and points to the door. "Go look outside!"

Danny turns to Jessica with his mouth hung open.  Jessica laughs. "Go look at it, babe!"

Danny jumps up with Sarah and Jessica following behind.

"Heyyyy!  WAIT!  What about me, guys?!"

Catherine laughs and takes Isla out of the high chair.

"Look at this!  All I have to do is get my license, then I can take you anywhere you want to go." Danny places his hands on Jessica's waist and kisses her lips.

"This is so exciting!  Your own car, Danny!  How cool!" Jessica smiles.

Once the kids came back in Catherine decides to make an announcement.

"You guys, I know this is Danny's day, but we got the okay today and.. well I can't hold it in any longer."

"Are you pregnant, Aunt Cathy?" Danny asks.

Jessica looks at Danny and laughs as she holds his hand.

"Wait.. are you?" She asks.

"She better not be." Sarah says.

"NO!  Oh God, I swore after I had Sarah that I'd never do that again!"

"Aw!" Jessica looks to Sarah and laughs.

"Rude old woman." Sarah makes a face.

"Doug and I have been working on this for so long, I can't even tell you.  There were many many obstacles that came into play but.. today everything fell into place and made it all worth it."

"What is it?" Danny asks.

"Well.. Jessica, why don't you open this?"

"Alright." Jessica smiles and takes the long flat box.

Jessica opens it and sees papers.  Soon her smile changed and she began crying.

"Jessica, Doug and I love you so much.  You are our daughter just as much as Sarah is.  We want to make it official."

Jessica doesn't say a word, instead she stands up and walks over to Doug and Catherine.

She hugs them both as they all three cry.

"What happened?" Isla asks with confusion all over her face.

"We love you, Jessica."

"I love you too.  I've never belonged to anyone." Jessica says as tears just pour down her face.

"I've always wanted to belong to someone, and I just.. I didn't think it would ever happen for me.  Thank you for wanting me."

"We love you so much, Jessica! Thank you for letting us be apart of yours and Isla's life." Catherine says.

"I have a mom and a dad?" Jessica laughs.

"You do, sweetie." Catherine smiles.

"Thank you so so much." Jessica hugs them once again.

Danny sat back and didn't say a word.

Sarah walked over and hugged Jessica. "I love you too, sis!  Welcome to the family."

"Oh Sarah!  I love you. I can't believe this, this is what I've always wanted."

Danny then stood up and walked over to the group.

"Well.. Thank you Aunt Cathy and Uncle Doug for the birthday present. I've always wanted a girlfriend slash cousin."

"Oh no!" Jessica laughs. "Oh Danny, I didn't think about that." Jessica pouts.

Sarah cracks up laughing. "Oh yuck! You're cousins now! You freaks!"

"Sarah stop! They aren't blood!" Catherine says.

"Still. YOU FREAKS!"

"What do you think Danny? Is this too weird?" Jessica asks.

Danny wraps his arm around her and says, "Well you were my girlfriend first, and I've waited too damn long for this, I don't really care." Danny then kisses her neck.

Jessica giggles. "Good."

"What da HECK!" Isla says in a deep voice.

Jessica turns and laughs.
"What's up with you?"

"I no know what going on." Isla lifts her hands.

"It's okay, baby.  It's a little confusing.
  But.. Mommy finally has parents!"

"You gots a mommy?"

"Yep!"

"And a daddy?  Like aunt Sarah and uncle Danny?"

"I do!"

"I no got a daddy." Isla says with a sad look in her eyes.

Suddenly the room went silent.

Danny then steps in and lifts her up. "No but who needs that when you have the best uncle in the entire world?"

Isla giggles and he kisses her making her laugh even more. "You've got uncle Danny!"

"Ahhhh!"

Danny chuckles.

"I lub you uncle Danny."

"Aw I love you so so much more."

Jessica wipes her cheeks and Catherine hugs her from behind.

"You've got a good one, Jess."

Jessica nods. "I do.
.. I love you, mom."

Catherine smiles. "I love you too, baby."
