"I'm so tired but.. She's.. she's too beautiful for me to just shut my eyes."

"She is beautiful, but you need to rest." Danny says.

"I know.."

"Go to sleep, Jess.  I have little brothers so I know how to at least hold a baby." He smiles.

"You're tired too, Danny."

"Hey I'm not the one who just had a baby!" Danny chuckles.

Jessica smiles tiredly. "Okay.  Thank you so much.  Isla, go with uncle Danny."

"And aunt Sarah!" Sarah smiles. "I have to pee but when I get back I'm snatching you away!" She says as she runs to the bathroom.

"Nah she doesn't like you.  Look how comfortable she is in my arms."

Jessica smiles at Danny as her eyes slowly fall.

Danny smiles at her before looking down to the baby.

"Your mom is pretty great, little girl.  She's really really.... she's just incredible." He says as the baby stares up to him.

Finally Catherine made it back to the room.

"Hey." She whispers to Danny who was the only one up.

"Everyone's asleep?"

"Yeah.. Jess is getting a well deserved nap, and Sarah got tired of trying to pry this little Princess out of my hands."

Catherine chuckles.

"And Isla finally closed her eyes.  She was just looking around." Danny smiles. "She's so cool, aunt Sarah!"

"Heh!  She is, honey."

"Like she was just inside of my friend, and then I saw her come out, and now she's in my arms!  This is so crazy."

Catherine smiles.  She clearly had something on her mind, but Danny didn't notice. He was too into Isla to care.

The next morning came and Jessica soaked up every little baby kiss and cuddle she could.

The baby's adoptive parents called but Jessica asked they give her time with the baby.

Knowing this separation will be harder than she could ever imagine, Jessica just wants this time alone.

So far they haven't heard a word from Bill and Suzanne.  Jessica was okay with it.  She didn't want them ruining these special moments for her.

The day went smoothly, but when bedtime came Jessica didn't want to go to sleep.  She knew what tomorrow would bring, and she wasn't ready.

"Jessica honey, it's three in the morning.  You have to put her down and get some sleep."

Jessica cries and says, "After tomorrow I'm never going to see her again.  I don't want to put her down, I don't want to look away.  I just want to remember this feeling forever."

Catherine's heart broke for Jessica.  She then sat down on the chair beside her and let Jessica do what she wanted.

The sunrise came quicker than they hoped.
Jessica is emotional and absolutely exhausted.

It is currently seven in the morning.  Last night Danny and Sarah got picked up by Danny's mother.  They should be arriving at the hospital soon to see the baby before she leaves with her parents.

"Ms. Paulson, she doesn't like these bottles." Jessica says on the verge of tears.
"And my boobs hurt really bad!" She begins to sob.

"Aw honey.. Well.... I don't know what to tell you."

"I'm nursing her, I don't care anymore.  She needs to eat and I need to do something before my breats explode.  Will you please help me with my gown?"

"Sure sweetie."

Jessica situates the baby at her breasts.

"There you go, pretty girl.  See?  You like mama's nippy's.  Not those rubber ones!" Jessica smiles and kisses her forehead.

Catherine smiles softly and folds the baby's blanket.

"I'm glad Sarah and Danny finally went home to shower and hopefully get some sleep in a comfortable bed."

"Yeah me too.  I'm sure they'll be back soon though.  They want to hurry back to this cutie."

Jessica smiles softly. "Yeah.. they wanna soak in all the cuddles before.." Jessica sighs. "This is so hard."

Catherine sat beside Jessica.

"I love her so much."

"I can tell.. I can also see how much she loves you."

"Thank you.." Jessica's voice shakes.
"Ms. Paulson.. what is she going to do without me?  How will she eat?  Maybe I am a horrible mother.  I hurt her, didn't I?"

"No sweetie, absolutely not!  You are an amazing mother!  It's obvious this little girl just adores you.  She only cries when she isn't with you.. or Danny, which is funny." Catherine laughs.

"Your mommy instincts kicked in and this is what you felt needed to be done.  So please don't worry.  I'm telling you, and I mean it.. you are a terrific mother."

"Tha-thank you."

"Oh sweetie, catch your breath." Catherine rubs Jessica's back. "Listen.. I have to tell you something.... My husband and I have been talking and—"

"We're here!  Woah there's boobs!  Danny, look away." Sarah jumps on Danny's back and covers his eyes with her hands.

"You're back?  You two need to rest." Jessica says.

"We're fine!  We wanna see the baby!"

"Can you two wait out in the hall for a second?" Catherine asks.

"Sure.  Go Danny!"

"I can't see!"

"Just go straight."

Jessica laughs and nods her head.

"They're crazy."

"I love them." Jessica smiles softly.

Catherine smiles before taking a deep breath.
"Jessica.."

"Yes? Am I doing something wrong?"

"No sweetie, you're doing great!
  I just.. well I spoke to my husband and.. this situation you're in with your foster parents, it's not fair at all and you do not deserve this."

"I know but.. at least I have Sarah and Danny.. and you."

Catherine smiles softly and says. "Jessica we want you to come live with us."

"What?"

"Well not just you. Isla is more than welcome as well."

"What?  Ms. Paulson." Jessica tears up. "What are you.. wait.. are you serious?"

"Yes!  This girl loves her momma, and we don't want to see you have to give her away."

"Oh." Jessica looks down to Isla and cries. "Is this for real? Are you sure?"

"Yes Jessica. We'll help you! I don't want you to have to go through with this adoption."

"Wow." She smiles through her tears.

"I can keep her? Oh Isla.. Mommy gets to keep you!" Jessica kisses her over and over again.

"Ms. Paulson, thank you! Thank you so so much!"

Catherine smiles and hugs her. "We love you, Jessica."

"I love y'all too. So so much!
  But wait.. what do I do about Bill and Suzanne?"

"Mr. Paulson and I will take care of it. Don't worry about all of that."

"I owe you so much. You're giving me the greatest gift I've ever gotten in my whole life."

Jessica then looks down to the baby and smiles.
"I get to be your mommy forever and ever, Isla bug." Jessica smiles and kisses her nose.

"Isla Lange.  I need a middle name for her." Jessica says as Danny and Sarah walk back in.

"We're bored.  Can we come back in?" Sarah asks.

Jessica covers herself and smiles big. "You guys!  I get to keep Isla!  Ms. Paulson said I can live with you guys, and I can keep the baby!"

"WHAT?!" Sarah shouts.

"Surprise!" Catherine smiles.

"Oh Jess this is awesome!  We're gonna be like sisters!"

"Jessica, I'm so happy for you.  It's gonna be so fun watching this little Princess grow up." Danny says.

"Aw!  Thank you guys.  I couldn't have done any of this without y'all.  Isla and I are so lucky to have you all."

Just then their happy moment was turned upside down.
