Later that evening.

"Goodnight, Isla bug.  Have beautiful dreams sweet girl."

"Night night, Mama."

Jessica smiles and kisses her cheek.

"Hold baby?"

"Aw of course I'll hold you baby girl."

Jessica held her daughter until she was sleeping peacefully.  She then quietly snuck out of the room.

"There you are!" Sarah shouts.

"Shhh!" Jessica closes her bedroom door. "Isla's sleeping."

"Oops, sorry!  You okay?"

Jessica sighs and nods her head. "I'm fine."

"I don't believe you."

"Well I was gonna talk to mom about it."

"You don't want to talk to your best friend and sister about it?!"

"You can come too, but I really needed her advice."

"Alright.  Let's go find her.  MOM!  We've gotta talk to you!"

"Sarah if Isla wakes up she's staying in your room tonight!"

"Sorry!"

"I'm in here, girls." Catherine says.

...

"Hi.." Jessica says with a sad look.

"What's wrong?"

Jessica finally breaks. "Isla asked me how she got in my tummy and I didn't know what to tell her!"

"Aw Jess!  I didn't know that's what it was about!" Sarah hugs her friend.

"One of her friends mom's is pregnant so Danny and I were explaining how babies are born because Isla just thought she was fat."

"Classic." Sarah chuckles softly.

"Then she asked how she got in there.  She asked if mommy's eat babies." Jessica chuckles through her tears.

"Luckily Danny stepped in and distracted her with snacks and the park.  He's such a good guy.... If only he.."

"If only he what?" Sarah asked.

"I don't know.."

"If only he were her father?"

"Yeah.. I don't know, I just feel bad for her not having a dad, and Danny is so great with her.  Not that I wish he were a struggling teen father, but.."

"I know.  You just wish you had someone there for her." Catherine says.

"Yes!"

"He may not be her daddy, but he's here!  And she loves him so much, Jessica."

"She does.. Oh gosh, I don't deserve Danny.  I'm not clean.  That man.. he's so disgusting for what he did to me!  I deserved a first time that was magical.  I deserved respect!  I'll never have a first time that's the most incredible thing ever.  I didn't get pleasure from it.  Nothing about it was good!  I think of sex and I think of pain.  That's not fair to me or to the man I decide to make love to.. if I ever decide to do that!  I don't think I ever could.."

"Jessie." Catherine took Jessica's hands and sat her down.

"You do deserve Danny.  If you ever decide you want to take that next step with someone else, I promise you it will be different.  Because you'll love the person you're with.  I'm telling both of you girls, don't give yourself to just anyone.  Make sure you love him."

Sarah nods.

"Jessica.. honey, you might have been taken advantage of, but your first time hasn't happened yet."

"Mom, I have a baby."

"I know!  But that wasn't it.  That was something very very bad that happened to you.  The first time you make love with the person you love.. it will be spectacular.  That will be it."

"Really?"

"Yes.  As for Isla's question.. tell her the truth."

"The truth?  Mom I can't-"

"Tell her God sent her to you.  Because that's true.  She is a gift from Heaven."

Jessica smiles through her tears. "I love you, mom."

Catherine smiles and hugs Jessica. "I love you too, baby."
