"But Sarah! What if I'm afraid to talk to Jessica?" Danny shouts as Sarah gets further and further away.

"So what? You didn't actually buy me a taco, so I want you to be afraid!"

Danny sighs and watches her leave. He then stood there and thought about it for a little while.

"What's the worst that can happen?  You can't feel any worse than you do now, Danny." He says to himself.

Danny then jumps up and down.  He started to pep himself up the way he does before a big game.

"Go for it, Huston!  Go man, GO!" Danny starts running towards Jessica's house.

"Hey Sarah." Jessica smiles softly as she sits on the ground playing with Isla.

"Hey."

"So.. What did he say?"

"You didn't do anything.  He's just a hot mess."

"Why do you say that?"

Sarah sighs and throws herself on the couch. "Talk to Danny." She shuts her eyes.

"Okay.
.. Why?  I'm nervous."

"You're both driving me crazy!"

"Cwazy!" Isla says.

"Yes Isla!  These two fools are driving me bonkers!" Sarah says making Isla crack up.

Just then the front door opens and Danny rushes in.

"DANNY!" Isla smiles.

"Hi Poops.
  Jessica?  Is Jessica here?"

Jessica makes a face and raises her hand.
"I'm Jessica."

"Jessica!" Danny walks over and takes her hands, standing her up.

"What's going on?"

"Jessica, I'm sorry for the way I acted today. It's just.. when I saw you hugging Sam, I got upset. I hated seeing you hug him. I even gave your taco to her." Danny glares at Sarah.

Sarah rolls her eyes.

"The taco was mine?"

"Oh course it was yours, Jessie! It was the Jessie special!"

Jessica giggles softly and lowers her head.

"But Danny, I don't understand.  Why were you upset about that?"

"Jessica, a couple years ago I made a promise to you that when you were ready I would take you out on your first date.. I thought as time went on maybe you just weren't into me anymore, and seeing you with Sam just made me so angry. It shouldn't have, but I know the reason it did is because I have more than just a crush on you. I really really care for you, Jessica. I have since the moment I walked through these doors and met you, big belly and all." Danny says making Jessica giggle softly.

"You're so perfect."

"Then.. then why did you go out with Claire?  Why didn't you ask me?"

"I thought you didn't want to go out with me! Why did you invite Sam over here?"

Jessica glares at him and purses her lips.
"To make you mad."

"Well it worked, little momma.  I hated it!"

"Well good!  Because I hated you taking Claire out and not me!"

"So we both made eat other mad?"

"Yeah."

"So.. those feelings.."

"Yeah!"

"So.. what is this?  This means that.."

"You're both idiots." Sarah says.

Danny and Jessica make a face at Sarah.

"I like you, Jessica.
.. Do you like me?"

"Of course I like you, you big jerk!" Jessica punches Danny's arm.

"Wow, you're so sweet.  Jessica, why didn't you tell me so we could do something?"

"I was waiting for YOU!"

"I'm stupid! You need to help me out a little, Jess!"

"Aw..
  Well Danny.. would you like to ask me on a date?"

"Jess, I would love to!" Danny smiles.

Jessica giggles.
"Okay, do it!"

"Oh I'm so nervous!"

"Daniel." Jessica tilts her head.

"Okay, okay, I can do this.
Jess. Jessica! Would you like to maybe hang out some time?"

Jessica giggles. "Oh what a nice surprise!" She smiles. "Yes Daniel, I would love to hang out."

Danny smiles a goofy smile. "Cool!"

Jessica laughs.

"How about you and I go somewhere after school tomorrow? Any place you'd like. I can get my mom to give us a ride. Or we can walk I guess. I don't know. I feel very warm and it's hard to breathe right now."

Jessica laughs once again. "Why don't we walk over to Center Court and have some pizza?"

"I like pizza!"

"Me too."

"But I want it to be special."

"Pizza is special, but Okay.."

"I'll be here around five o'clock tomorrow."

"Okay. Sounds good!"

"I go to pizza toooo!" Isla says.

"Hey you stay out of this, kid." Jessica says making Danny laugh.

"I'm really glad we talked, Jess. I don't like that Sarah was sitting here the whole time but.."

"I knew you both liked each other, there was no need for me to leave."

Jessica chuckles and looks up to Danny.
"It's really cute that you were that jealous. You gave my taco to Sarah you were so upset!"

"Yeah, sorry about that.."

"It's okay. I was just telling him that it wasn't going to happen. I did feel differently about him after using the poor boy, but.. he wasn't the one I wanted to have my first date with."

"Understandable. The guy is nothing."

"Danny don't be mean." Jessica laughs. "He's still my friends after all."

"Oh.. well I'm sorry."

"It's okay."

"So.. May I hug you?"

"Of course you dork!"

Danny laughs and wraps his arms around her.

"I hug too! I hug too!" Isla says.

Sarah walks over and picks her up.
"Isla, these two have been dragging this out for the past three years. It has drove aunt Sarah insane!"

"Insane?"

"Yes!"

Isla then pokes Sarah in the eye and laughs.

"No, no, no. No acting like a little shit."

"Sarah!" Jessica shouts.

"Wittle Shit." Isla says.

"SARAH!" Jessica's voice grows louder.

"Sar, you know she repeats everything!" Danny says.

"I'm fifteen, cussing and sarcastic comments are my specialty. She's gonna have to learn it some time."

"She's two!  Give her to me." Danny says. "Isla, don't say words like mean ugly Sarah."

Isla points to Sarah and shouts, "UGLY!"

"Stop that. That's mean!" Jessica says.

"Ugly shit!" Isla shouts.

"Oh my gosh, stop it!" Jessica covers her daughters mouth.

Isla then lays on Danny and he chuckles.
"Well that escalated quickly."

The next day went well. School was fine, but Jessica was nervous for her first date, and Danny was too.

After school Jessica went home and Sarah helped her get ready.

"Don't do anything too crazy. That is my cousin you're with." Sarah says as Jessica sits at the vanity.  Sarah is currently doing her hair.

"Oh gosh, is this weird, Sarah? I mean we're like sisters and Danny and I are super close. We're all like family, is that too much?"

"We're like family, but Jess he's not related to you. It's fine!"

"You're right. Ugh, I'm just so nervous!"

"Why? It's just Danny."

"I really like him, Sarah. I've wanted this for so long."

"I know you have.  I think he's gross, so I don't understand this at all.  In my opinion you could do much better, but.. it's going to be fun!  You've wanted this for so long, and it'll be great.  Just relax." Sarah holds her shoulders as she speaks.

Jessica takes a deep breath and looks to herself in the mirror. "Yeah!  Yeah, it's going to be great."
