The summer so far has been great.  Jessica enjoys days out by the pool with Isla, she also loves taking her to the park and seeing the joy in her precious face.

Isla is now five months old, and is just about the happiest baby.

Today Catherine is taking the girls shopping for their trip to San Antonio coming up.

Jessica pushed the stroller as she shopped around.

"I don't really know what size to buy."

"Well you seemed to have lost all of your baby weight." Sarah says.

"I have, but I have some flab." Jessica makes a face.

Sarah laughs. "Embrace the flab!"

"I also have ginormous boobs, and I'm still not sure how to dress them."

"I'd show those puppies off!"

"I hate them.  And what about a swimsuit?  I want to cover EVERYTHING!"

"Love your body, Jess!  It literally brought a whole person into the world. That's awesome!"

"Yeah.." Jessica mopes.

Just then Isla babbles loudly.

"You tell her, Isla Bug!" Sarah says.

Jessica chuckles and looks at Isla. "Now She's cute!  I need to go to the baby section."

"We will, but you need to find something for yourself first, mommy." Sarah smiles.

A week later.

"A car ride with a baby is no fun." Sarah says getting out of the car.

Danny walks over from his car.  He looked absolutely miserable.

"I'll trade with you.  Anything is better than driving with two three year olds!"

"Isla wasn't bad you brat!" Catherine says.

"Everytime I spoke Isla got mad."

"Isla and I have a lot in common." Danny says.

Jessica laughs and takes the baby out of the car. "She was a little moody."

"So was my mom.  The only chill ones were my dad and I.  If I were older I'd need a beer."

Jessica laughs and nods her head. "You're too much, Huston."

"Watch it, Lange."

Jessica laughs harder. "Here.  Want a baby?  I need some space from her."

"Aw, come here Isla.  You weren't bad, were you?" He asks as Isla spits up on him.

"Oh no!"

"Aww Danny!  I'm sorry!  Are you car sick, Isla?  Come here.  I am so sorry, Danny."

"It's okay.  I just.. I.. *Gags* I'm fine!"

Jessica takes the baby and cleans Danny with the baby blanket.  She then cleans Isla.

"Isla!  Did you give Danny a present?"

Isla giggles.

"She's cute so I forgive her.  But dang was that gross!"

Jessica laughs and kisses Isla's cheek. "You little mess!  You're just getting everyone today."

That evening.

"Mmm!  Wow, this is so good!"

"San Antonio has the best Mexican food, Jess." Sarah says.

"Mhm!" Zoe agrees.

Danny makes a face and asks, "You have enough cheese on that chip, mom?"

"Shut up, Daniel."

Danny chuckles. "You've been really weird lately... Oh no.. Don't."

Zoe turns to John.  She knew he knew.

"Oh NO!"

"What?" Jessica asks.

"She's pregnant!"

"What!" Jessica's eyes widen.

"Aunt Zoeeee." Sarah smiles. "You still got it?"

"You kids stink!  I had a special thing planned!"

"YOU'RE PREGNANT?!" Catherine shouts making Isla cry.

"Hey Isla, it's okay!" Jessica baby talks and picks her up.

"You're a grandmother, how could you?" Danny says earning a few weird looks.

"I mean.. I mean.. Not a grandmother but.. You shouldn't do this!" Danny makes a face.

Jessica covers her mouth and giggles.  She thought it was sweet.  Isla doesn't have any grandparents, so Danny and Sarah's parents were the closest thing she had.

"Daniel, why are you so mean?"

"I'm not mean."

"The baby is only eight weeks and you hate them already!" Zoe cries.

"Aw." Jessica pouts. "Danny, you are being a little mean."

"You think so, Jess?" Danny looked to her with sad eyes.

"Yeah.."

"Mom, I'm sorry.."

"Shut up."

"I am!" Danny stands and walks over to hug his mother. "I'm excited."

"No you're not."

"I'm not, but I will be.  I promise."

Zoe laughs and hits his arm before hugging him back.

"I love you, mommy."

"I love you too, Daniel."

"This is so exciting!  I'm gonna be an aunt again!" Catherine smiles.

"And Isla will have another friend!  Or friends if it's twins again!"

"Oh no." Danny's eyes widen.

Zoe nods. "I've already had an ultrasound, there's only one."

"Oh thank God!"

".. Maybe the other one was hiding.  Remember how Tommy always used to hide."

Danny narrows his eyes on Catherine. "Aunt Catherine.  Why?"

"Sorry!" She laughs.

"Boys, did you hear that?  Mommy's gonna have another baby!"

"Oh nooooo!" Thomas pouts.

"A baby boy?" Levi smiles.

"Well we don't know if it's a boy or a girl yet, but it'll be one of those." Zoe chuckles.

"YAY!"

"I not happy." Thomas pouts and crosses his arms.

"Aw Tommy.  Don't be a stinky like your big brother."

"Danny?"

"Yeah!"

"I lub Danny!"

"Aww!" Jessica melts.

Danny smiles and puts Thomas on his lap. "I love you too, bud.  Don't worry.. a new baby will be fun."

"No fun, Dan." Thomas nods.

Danny laughs and messes with Thomas' dark curls.

A few months later.

It is now October.  Isla is eight months old, and the kids are back in school.  Things have been going pretty smooth.  Jessica was happy to start at a new school.  She could start completely fresh.  Jessica didn't hide that she had a daughter, when she met new people she did mention Isla, but she never mentioned Edwin or her dark past.  Jessica wanted to leave that behind.

Everything was great.. until today.

"Isla.. Can mommy vent to you for a second?"

Isla giggles.

"There's a dance coming up, right?  I'm in high school now, and Uncle Danny made the football team, which is cool and all that, but Oh My Gosh, it makes all the girls like him even more!  Now I don't even want to go to this dumb dance, but Aunt Sarah says I have to.  So I guess we're going together like dorky friends!  But I think Danny is gonna ask that ugly Mckenzie to go with him!  She's a Cheerleader." Jessica rolls her eyes.

Isla started cracking up.

"My pain should not be funny to you, Isla."

"Mama!"

Jessica's jaw dropped and her eyes widened. "WHAT!"

"Mamamamamamaaa!"

"Oh my gosh!" Jessica shouts and lifts her up.

"Oh you just made me forget about dumb old Danny and ugly old Mckenzie!"

Isla giggles and playfully slaps Jessica's face.
