Late that night.

Jessica snuck out of her room and snuck into Bill's office. She logged onto his computer and signed into her email.

After typing in Sarah's email she wrote, "Hey! Thanks again for today. It'd be fun to hang out again. My foster parents are strict, but maybe if I'm good they'll let me leave the house next week. I just wanna talk to somebody."

Jessica sighed and hit send.

Jessica wasn't able to check her email until the next evening. Luckily Sarah was awake as well so she and Jess went on instant messenger for two hours.

Both girls had never used IM before. They thought it was something old people used. But since Jessica didn't have a phone, this worked perfectly.

Jessica revealed to Sarah that she was grounded and that Bill and Suzanne yelled at her, but she didn't go into any further details.

Sarah wanted to hang out with Jessica and take her mind off of her home life. Even if it were only for a short time. Sarah explained that her new friend had a hard life at home, and asked her parents for some money to take her to lunch. They of course said yes, and were proud of their daughter for being so kind.

Jessica asked Bill and Suzanne if she could walk to the park, and after denying her over and over again, they finally gave in.

Jessica was so excited to be able to get out of the house and of course to see Sarah.

"Hey Jess!"

"Hi! Ah it feels great to be out!"

"I bet!"

"Being at home has literally made me sick."

"Really?"

"Yes! I've had a constant migraine being trapped in there."

"Are they feeding you? I always get a headache when I haven't eaten."

"Yeah they feed me. But the food is so gross, Sarah!" Jessica whines. "They eat weird stuff and it makes me want to puke. Actually I did puke last night and after breakfast this morning."

"It's that bad?"

"Yes! They're vegan, and I know a lot of people are now, but Come On! I need some meat!"

"Well." Sarah smiles. "Let's go get some meat."

"I can't leave the park. What if they find out?"

"They won't. Come on, we'll be fast. You need to eat. You're already skin and bones!"

Jessica looks down and chuckles. "Alright let's go."

Sarah ordered them each a burger, fries and a shake.

"This is so good!"

"Slow down, you're gonna choke!" Sarah laughs.

"I can't help it. I feel like I haven't eaten in days!"

"I should have bought us some nuggets too,"

"Nuggets?" Jessica's eyes widen.

"Want me to go back in and order some?" Sarah chuckles.

"Please?"

"Sure! You stay here."

"Thank you, Sarah." Jessica smiles sweetly.

"You're welcome, Jess."

Jessica was so happy to be out of the house, with her new friend, eating all of this food she's been craving. What she didn't know is someone was watching her every move.
