"Jessica, should I call Jennifer and Gary in?" Catherine asks.

"No, not yet.. I need more time." Jessica looks down to the baby who looked up to her mother with big beautiful eyes.

"You are so wide awake, aren't you?  You just wanna see what's going on in this world."

Sarah snapped a few pictures as Jessica spoke to the baby.

Danny then sat beside her and Jessica smiles to him.

"Would you like to hold her?"

"I'd love to!  But.. what if I drop her?"

Jessica giggles. "You won't.  Just hold her close.  Talk to her, she knows your voice."

Jessica hands the baby to Danny and he instantly falls in love.

"Wow.. Well hello, pretty lady." He smiles.

Jessica laughs softly and watches his face.

"It's so great to finally meet you.  You're even more beautiful than I ever thought possible."

Danny then placed a kiss on her forehead and the baby looked up to him.

"Aw she likes kisses!" Jessica smiles.

Danny chuckles and takes her tiny hand.
"Oh my gosh, look at her hand!  It's so small!"

"It is! Tiny hands but the girl can throw a punch." Jessica says.

Sarah laughs and takes his picture.

Isla then gently squeezes it. "She's holding my hand!  She squeezed it!"

"Aw Danny, you're tearing up!" Jessica smiles.

"She was just inside of you, and now she's here!"

"Yep!" She giggles.

"Wow.. Oh gosh.. Isla, we would have gone on so many adventures together.. I'm really gonna miss you.  But your mommy is doing the best thing for you.  You'll thank her one day.
.. I hope you look us up when you're older."

Jessica listens and wipes her tears. Catherine rubs her back for support.

"My turn!" Sarah shouts.

"Her ears are tiny, loser.  Stop screaming." Danny makes a face.

"Sorry!" Sarah whispers.

"She's okay." Jessica smiles softly as Danny hands her over.

"Oh my goodness, Hi! You are so cute! I'm Sarah. I'm a really cool person, and your mommy's best friend.. even though Danny thinks he is. He's not!"

Jessica laughs as tears slowly roll down her cheeks.

"You okay, honey?" Catherine asks.

"Yeah.. it's just hard."

"I know, sweet girl."

"Baby girl, I want you to meet your.. auntie Catherine." Jessica giggles.

"Oh you're rushing me now?" Sarah says.

"Well you don't have to hand her over yet if you don't want to."

"No it's fine. But I'm getting her back later!"

Catherine takes the baby and smiles. "Well look at you! You look just like your mommy, don't you?"

"Thank you." Jessica giggles softly.

"You are beautiful.
.. Let me tell you something. We are never going to forget you. You'll forever hold a special place in all of our hearts.... and I hope you know how much your mommy loves you."

Jessica pouts her lip as tears fall.

"I think your momma needs some love, so I'm going to hand you back over to her." Catherine kisses her head.

Jessica takes the baby and cries silently as her tears roll down her cheeks.

Just then Gary and Jennifer walk in.

"We're dying out there!" Jennifer gasps. "Look at her! Oh baby girl, mommy is here!"

"Um-" Danny starts but gets interrupted.

"Please let me hold her! Skin to skin is so important for us right now. We have to bond." Jennifer says.

"I think you should-"

"Sarah!" Catherine stops her daughter.

Jessica sniffles and looks down to the content baby.

"She's falling asleep right now. Maybe later."

"Jessica, this time with her is so crucial. Please."

Jessica takes a deep breath and hands the baby over. "Okay.. watch her head please!"

"Look at her." Jennifer smiles.

"I know it's impossible but.. she has your eyes." Gary says to his wife.

Jessica makes a face.

Suddenly the baby started to squirm and cry on the top of her lungs. It's the loudest cry they've heard from her so far.

"Oh honey, it's okay! It's mama!"

Jessica's mommy heart began to ache. She wanted nothing more than to soothe her baby.

"Just be more gentle with her." She says.

"She's okay. Just a little fussy, huh? You're okay! You're safe now."

Jessica looks around. With a lump in her throat she fights back tears.

"Maybe you can just.." She sighs.

"Margo, it's okay, my dear."

"Just give her back to me!" Jessica snaps.
"I'm sorry but Please.  She's going to make herself sick. Just let me calm her down."

"She probably should get used to us, don't you think?" Gary says.

"She has no idea who you are! I'm her mother."

"Jenn, she's probably hungry." Gary says.

"Oh yes! Jessica, we have this all natural, organic formula for her. Do you mind?"

"Yes! Yes I do!  Give her back to me! I never asked you to come in here! Just please let me have a few minutes alone! I will call you back later."

Jennifer stopped talking and handed her to Jessica. Jessica situated herself and softly rocked the baby.

"You're okay. Calm down, little one.." Jessica spoke in a soft motherly voice. "It's all okay.."

The baby immediately calmed down and Jennifer felt heartbroken.

"This is all too overwhelming. Can I please just have ten minutes alone with her?" Jessica asked looking around to everyone in the room.

"Of course, Jess." Sarah says. She kisses her on the cheek and smiles before leading everyone out.

"Let's go, let's go. Everyone out!"

Jessica waited for everyone to leave before turning back to the baby.

"I'm so sorry about that. Oh gosh.. I don't know how to do this.. I don't know what to do.. I love you so much. But how will I care for you? I don't even know how to care for myself. I can't get a job for another three years!  I can't do it.. but I also can't see myself living a day without you."

The baby looked up to her mother as if she understood every single word she spoke.

"I've never had anyone so special in my life before.... when I was a baby my parents left me.  They abandoned me.  I wasn't given to great parents.  That's why I wanted to pick two out just for you.  But it's so hard.  I feel like I'm doing the same thing my parents did.. but I'm not!  I wish my parents would have given me a home like the one you're going to.  I've seen it and it's so beautiful, baby girl.
.. But then.." Jessica sighs.

"I guess there's that part of me that wishes they would have never given me away.  What if everything was perfect?  I would have never met that evil man, and I would have had you later in life and you would have had a father.  Then I wouldn't even think of giving you away!"

Jessica pauses for a short moment before continuing.

"You know, I've never met anyone I'm really related too.  You and I are all we have.  We're blood and we're connected forever, Isla."

Jessica then looked around and took a deep breath.

"You must be starving.... I googled how to do this so.. I hope I do it right."

Jessica then took her breasts out and brought the baby's lips to her nipple.

Isla looked to Jessica and as if she's done it a hundred times before, she latched with no problem.

"Wow!" Jessica smiled. "You're so smart!  Good job, baby girl."

Isla began sucking and Jessica giggled.
"This is a funny feeling.... But it's also the greatest feeling in the whole world." She softly caressed her cheek. "Natural formula." Jessica scoffs. "You can't get any more natural than this, huh?

.. Maybe this is a bad idea, but I don't care.  We're doing this, and we're pretty good at it too!"

Isla made cute noises as she ate.  Jessica just watched her as she suckled.  The baby's big beautiful eyes staring back at her.  Her life has never been more beautiful.

Jessica is too young to know this is doing more harm than good for her baby.  When it comes time for Jessica to hand her over, Isla more than likely will have an extremely difficult time separating from Jessica.
