Kenneth's POV

I look around the foreign room I've just woke up in and wonder how I got here in the first place. I get off the bed and walk to the open window. By the looks of outside, it seem to be late afternoon and I'm just waking up. How odd.

Looking out through the window, I realise I'm at the Central City Palace. How I got here I still can't remember and just then, the door to the room opens and I see Ron walking in.

"Why I'm I here and where is Roman?" I ask but the second I speak out my mate's name, I remember what happened. A growl rips out of me and I march to the door.

"Wait Alpha. There are visito-"

He doesn't finish his words as I grab him by the neck and push him to the wall. I growl in his face and he quickly submits to me.

"What did you do to me? Why I'm I here and not looking for my mate?"

"Alpha I couldn't have let you go on a blind search for your mate. You were getting out of control."

I want to shout at him for getting in my way and delaying my mate's search. What if I'm too late to go for him now? I get so angry and I start to feel myself changing but then suddenly everything feels calm. I remove my hand from Ron and he falls to the ground. I tense when I smell a foreign scent. I open the door and pin down the owner of the scent to the wall. A girl looks at me with wide eyes and seem to have been caught off guard.

"Who are you witch and what are you doing in my palace?"

"I-I'm N-natalie, Roman's cousin. I'm h-here wi-with Roman's p-parents." She manage to cough out a response with my hold on her. I let her go the moment I hear Roman's parents are here. Ron comes out of the room and I turn to him.

"Why didn't you tell me Roman's parents are here?"

"I was about to tell you but you strangled me." He scowls but I ignore him and turn back to the girl.

"Remove the spell on me. You should never do that again without my consent." I make sure the warning tone is heard clearly. She seem surprise that I noticed she had put a spell on me but what did she expect from an alpha like me. I don't need a spell to keep my anger in check; I can do that by myself.

"I'm sorry for my disobeying action alpha. I was in the room next door and sensed the rising aura; I jumped in without a thought. That aside, we know about Roman missing and the family is here to have a meeting with you about this issue." Natalie speaks when I take a step to go back to the room.

"The king called when you were still sleeping, to inform me of their sudden visit here. I told them we were here and I welcomed them a while ago when they arrived. I was coming from the meeting room where I had directed them when I came to check on you and find you awake. The guests are waiting for you to begin the meeting." Ron informs me through the link.

"I'll meet you in the meeting room Natalie." I dismiss her and she vanish.

I enter the bedroom and walk straight to the bathroom for a quick shower. I link Ron to get me a change of clothes and I find the clothes on the bed once I come out the bathroom. I get dressed quickly and exit the room only to find the alphas I was with yesterday's night. I eye both alphas and notice the determined angry look in their eyes.

"Let's go." I announce and they follow me as I make my way to the meeting room.

I was in a guestroom that's why I didn't recognize the place immediately. I had this place on reconstruction and the only room I am familiar with is mine and Roman's room. I planned to move here after our mating ceremony. I still don't know why I am here now instead of my planned time. I voice the question to Ron and he replies right away.

"Yesterday's night, the house was attacked by outsiders. Due to the low number of guards, they couldn't fight back and decided on fleeing. They came here with your father and the omegas who lived at the location. No harm was done on anyone and everyone is okay."

I remember about Zach and the hybrid situation. The reason there was a low number of guards at the house was because I had sent my assassins and the third in command to Zach. I haven't heard how things are going there and I plan to leave things in my uncle's hands. He will take good care of the situation and hopefully help out Zach as well.

I also plan on seeing my dad after the meeting is done. I don't need to ask how much this place is secured because I know Ron have taken good care of that. I open the meeting room door and enter with the alphas and my beta behind me.

I greet everyone and introduce the alphas as well. I didn't expect this lot of Roman's family but I guess they were all worried and decided to come. I only know Roman's parents and his brother as well as the uncle, Michael but the rest are new faces to me. I explain to the guests about the alphas, that their mates were taken along with Roman in order for them to understand why the alphas have joined us in the meeting. If we are rescuing Roman, we will be rescuing the others as well.

"I'm sorry for what has happened to Roman. I promised to keep him safe but I failed doing that. I'll leave as soon as possible to look for him and I won't come back until I find him and bring him home." I apologise to Roman's parents and his mother smiles at me.

"You are not to blame Kenneth. I don't want you carrying the burden alone that's why we are all here. To help you out on finding Roman and offer you whatever it takes," his mother pause and I frown dreading the possibility of a but coming next. "But someone has a message for you before you make any decision." He finish with that. Before I enquire more about this message, I see the girl Natalie, walking towards my sit.

"Show me your hand." Natalie whispers when she is standing before me. I bring out my hand and she touches her hand to mine.

I feel a jolt and everything darkens around me. I see nothing for a while and then it lights up and a man is standing before me.

"Who are you?" I ask taking a defensive stand, wary of the stranger.

"My name is Justice and I am a seer Snow kingdom. I've been a prisoner of the royal family because of my powers ever since I was young. I never had the strength to fight back until I met Michael and Cadmael. They gave me a family and the reason to escape my prison."

A voice sounds in my head as my eyes see what is explained. I deduce that the voice is that of the stranger when I see him with uncle Michael and another man.

"I didn't expect my plan to not go as planned and as a result, I created a mess. The King of Snow kingdom is gravely ill that no magic can heal him. The only one who can heal him is a werewolf gifted omega called a Rolyn. The Queen had been searching for the Rolyn in so many werewolf packs. She was about to give up and that was until she heard of the possibility of a Rolyn in the Matla Wolves kingdom. I thought it was a wild chase until I saw the boy."  

When he said 'boy', I see my mate roughly handled by a man and thrown in a prison cell with the other omegas.

"For their own stupidity, they misunderstood another girl as the Rolyn. The girl didn't try to right them and reveal the real Rolyn even though she knows who the Rolyn is. The truth will not be hidden for long and the boy will be discovered soon. He isn't strong for what the future holds for him in this place and he will suffer greatly. When I saw the boy I knew of the connection he has with my mate and I alerted them as soon as I could. I has two visions of the boy but neither of this futures were of his choice. His mate is the one to choose which future will come to pass upon his action."

The voice stops as well as the images of my mate in that horrible place. The man appears in front of me and look at me with his black eyes. I don't say anything as I wait for him to tell me of these choices or perhaps show me the future.

"In the first vision, you came for your mate after five months and he suffers greatly in that place as they use him without mercy for his powers to heal the king. In the second vision, you came for him in less than a month. He suffers but it's not as much as the first vision. However, because you interrupts the King's healing, there is a very big price to pay. This price will neither be paid by you or your mate but your child."

The man doesn't open his mouth to speak but I'm sure what I'm hearing are his words. And from what I've heard, the choices aren't that hard because I now know I'll be finding my mate in less than a month.

"The royals are very cruel witches and I warn you that this price will make your child suffer greatly."

The man warns me as if already knowing what I thought. His warning doesn't change my mind though. I'm still finding Roman in less than a month because I know I'd die first before allowing my mate to get tortured in that place.

"I took my time to warn you about this because Roman is my mate's nephew. I'll do my best to protect him but there's not much I can do. So I suggest you hurry up and get your mate."

He concludes and then disappears. The light vanishes and once again I'm enveloped in darkness before I find myself back in the meeting room. Natalie walks back to her seat and the room falls silent. I think about my decision once again but my mind doesn't change. Roman is all I can think about and I want to end his suffering as soon as possible. I can't sit down and make a solid plan of how I'm doing this.

"I'll leave for the Snow kingdom this night." I announce and no one speaks for a while.

"I'll be leaving with you." Eldon, Roman's brother speaks.

"No. I'll only take my alphas and beta with me. Our enemy is not to be taken lightly and since I don't know the place, I plan to assess it first before attacking. My kingdom has another threat to look out of and because of this, I don't have an army to fight with me when the time for it comes."

"You don't have to worry about that son. I'll ready our army and will wait for you to give us the go. You only need to call and we will come well prepared and in large numbers." Roman's father assure me of their support and there are agreeing shouts of the other members of the family. I feel lucky to have such a supporting family.

"Thank you Sir. I promise to let you know when that time comes. You can stay here as long as you want but I have to leave you this minute to get ready to leave since it is already evening." I point out and they let me and the others leave.

Ron takes care of both my packing and his, for the journey. I visit my father in his room and he tells me to believe in myself and to bring back his son in law home. He tells me some things that I didn't know until now and it gives me the hope that I'll do fine and bring back my mate safely.

It's time for us to leave and I say goodbye once again to Roman's parents. They wish me luck and safety on my leave and promises to look after my dad until my mother comes.

"Alpha Kenneth!" Someone calls me when I'm about to get in the car. I look back and see Edwin running to me.

"This is a rare herb that helps to heal a wound faster if there is some complications. It also works on poison affections and-"

"Thank you Edwin. I know you are worried about Roman and Nate's safety. I promise to come home with them both. Take good care of my father too. Seeing you will put him on ease about Roman since you two visited him a lot. Can you do that for me?" I take the bag he offered me and give it to Ron to get it inside the car.

"Yes Alpha. Please come back safely."

I smile at that and enter the car as Noah approaches him. I hear him ask Edwin to keep company his mate, Max, who was the only one left of the omegas. Edwin waves at me before leaving back to the house. Ron starts the car and drives away from the palace.
