Anamika and Viren share a moment. They have a banter as Viren gets a call and he has to visit the office. Anamika gets angry but gets convinced because she knows that work is important. Meanwhile, someone enters the house.

"We will go shopping. If someone wants to join us, he can." The young girl says while looking at Viren.

Anamika chuckles looking at the girl. The newcomer is Anamika's sister,Raina. The two girls are of the same age and they share a sweet and strong bond. Raina is Viren's niece, his sister's daughter. She visits them usually and loves to stay with her uncle and sister.

"Raina! Tum! Akeli aayi ho?" Viren asks,concerned.

"Oh yes! Dadda dropped me here. Unko kaam tha na isliye chale gaye. Keh rahe they wo sham ko mumma ko leke aayenge." Raina chuckles.

“Sunday koi kaam karne ka din hota hain? Lekin nahi! Dadda ko bhi office jana hain.” Anamika makes a face.

"Uffo! Mood off na karo behna! Main aur tum jayenge shopping. Meri ek aur dost hain, wo bhi humko join karegi. It’ll be fun.” Raina tries to cheer up her sister.

“The plans sounds good! Aur kya plan hain?” Viren rolls his eyes at the two pretty girls.

“That’s an all girls’ plan! Hum nahi batayenge. Aap jaiye, kaam kijiye!” Raina looks at him.

“Han! Lekin aap bhulna nahi! I have got so many things to shop!” Anamika says.

“You take whatever you want, Princess. You’ve got your card, right!” Viren smiles.

“Yeah, but I wanted to do that with you.” Anamika makes a face.

Viren sighs. He knows that his daughter wants to spend time with him. But he can’t ignore his work either. He can’t let any of the two things at stake that keeps him alive – His daughter and his business. He cups Anamika’s face and asks her to go with Raina, promising that he will join them later. Anamika casts a doubtful gaze at her father, but then agrees. Raina smiles looking at the two! Because she does the same with her dad. Even she had a trifle before her dad dropped her here.

“Anuuu! Go and get ready! Nahi toh hum late ho jayenge.” Raina chuckles.

“Okay okay! Jaati hoon! Daddy! Aap breakfast karke jana! Nahi toh aaj ladai pakki hain.” Anamika glares at Viren and runs to her room.

As she leaves, Raina makes Viren sit on the couch and warms his coffee in the microwave. Viren tries to stop her but the girl doesn’t listen to him. She turns to him.

“Aapko pata hain, aap aur dad dono ek jaise ho! Infact, shayad saare dads aise hi hote hain. Hume kuch ho jaye wo aapse sehen nahi hota, lekin jab hum aapse kuch kehte hain, aap log maante hi nahi. Anaa ne kaha hai kha ke jao toh khao, chalo! Nahi toh aapki behen na hum dono ke kaan kheenchengi. Aapko acha lagega aapki bachiyon ko dant padegi toh!” Raina makes a sad face.

“Kya kiya meri behen ne?” Viren rolls her eyes.

“Aapko bas aapki behen yaad hain, bhanji nahi! Very bad, mamu! Nai! Hum toh best buddies they na! Fir bhi aap kuch nahi samajhte!” Raina makes a sad face.

“Arey! Ab tu kyun gussa ho rahi hain! Udhar Ana aur idhar tu! Aise karoge toh mera kaam kaise chalega?” Viren reasons with a sad face.

“Aapka kaam chalta hain aapki Princess aur Angel ke bina! Aap kitne din se ghar pe bhi nahi aaye! Very bad! Wo toh thik hain Anaa se main mil leti hoon, lekin aap! Aapse main bahut gussa hun! Sachi mein aap na Oldie buddie ho gaye ho! Bhulakkad!” Raina makes a face.

Viren smiles at her complaints. Yes! He did say that he’s her buddy, when she was born. There’s just 6 months gap between Raina and Anamika’s birth. Raina is the daughter of his sister, Ruhana Malhotra, who’s Viren’s sister. Raina’s father happens to be Viren’s best friend, Vineet Malhotra. That’s how the two families are tied up. Viren is Oldie Buddie to Raina, while her father Vineet is Anamika’s buddy, who calls him BB.  Today the girl is accusing him that he doesn’t visit them. Well, its his work that occupies his time but these two girls are precious to him as well. And they have the right to express their anger.

“Acha sorry, Angel! Ab se aisa nahi hoga.” Viren says softly.

“Mr Oldie Buddie, I don’t believe you!” Raina says.

“Dekho, tum aur tumhari behen aise gussa karoge toh main meeting kaise karunga? Please maan jao!” Viren says.

“Kyun? Hum kyun? Aap hamesha humko aise kuch bhi bahana karke mana lete ho! That’s not done! Aaj toh Bhua bhi nahi aayi! I’m angry with her.” Anamika says as she arrives back in the hall getting ready for the day.

“Exactly! Abhi aap jao! Aap ko late ho raha hoga!” Raina says.

“Deviyon please! Aise naraz mat raho! Dekho fir mera mann kaam mein bhi nahi lagega!” Viren reasons, but the two girls are ready to cut his words.

“Toh! Sunday ko kaun kaam karta hain! Huh! Dono dost ek jaise!” Anamika and Raina say in unison.

“Acha acha! I promise, I will join you guys in two hours. Fir hum lunch pe jayenge. Okay?” Viren looks at the two girls.

He just wants to see them smiling. Maybe this offer will convince them. Okay! Sunday is time to spend with his family, his daughter, niece, sister and brother-in-law. But today is an exception! And he has to go. Anamika and Raina glance at each other and seem to agree.

“Fine! Lekin aapko aana hi padega!” They say in unison.

“Aur haan! Fir ghar bhi aana padega. Aapko pata hain, aaj Ma  rajma rice banane wali hain. She wants you to come over, Please, Buddie!” Raina looks at him with puppy eyes.

Viren sighs deeply and he finally agrees to the two girls. They jump on their toes and hug him. They kiss his either cheeks and then leave the house. Viren watches them going and his lips curve into a small smile.

He moves to his room to get ready for the office. Okay! He can visit in his casuals but, work means work. He loves being professional and unprofessional as the work permits. As he puts on his blazer, his gaze falls on a photframe that’s beautifying the side table beside the bed. He picks it up. It is his wedding picture along with his wife. She’s smiling to the camera while he’s looking at the love of his life. He smears her face in the picture.

“I’ve got everything in life, but not you! Why? Bas tumhari hi kami hain! Tum hoti toh zindagi bahut khubsurat hoti!” He says to himself and then kisses the picture.

Glancing at the smiling face of his lady love, he leaves for his meeting, locking the house.

It’s going to be a long day.
