You hummed lightly as you took a bath, you had been at Toriel's for about 3 days now. Chara had started talking to you like you were an actual person after seeing your soul. It was nice, though you wished you could make Chara a body already. Though you were unsure how it would effect the story. Giggling lightly you picked up the weird rudder duck, it had horns and made a weird sound when you squeezed it. You felt almost like a kid again, and. . . you still didn't know your age. It was anywhere from 8 to like 13 maybe. . . you really couldn't tell. Those Toriel called you a child and you were the same size as Frisk if not slightly shorter. You liked the bath here, Fire magic kept the water the same tempt as it was poured. So you could relax for a long time after washing up. You may have feel asleep the first time you relaxed in the bath, but that was a secret. Honestly you've been sleeping a lot lately, you didn't understand why, you also freaked out Flowey with your soul. It was. . . . . . weird to see him so expressive, it made you feel uncomfortable.... When you got out of the bath and dressed, you were shocked to see Gerson sitting in the kitchen.

Mimic: "What. . . what's going on?"

Toriel: "Gerson here is here to check your soul. He's a very skilled Soul Doctor, and I thought maybe he could help us start healing your soul."

Mimic: ".... Does it... need healing?"

Toriel: "Y-yes, yes it does."

Gerson: "Mind if I take a quick look?"

Mimic: "Uh. . . s-should I?"

Gerson chuckled, clearly amused at the innocent question you asked.

Gerson: "You mind over doctors checking you over?"

Mimic: "I mean.... sometimes I might."

Gerson chuckled again and motioned for you to get closer, Suddenly feeling nervous, like a kid at the doctor's. You inched your way closer to him, and he gently cupped your arm and pulled you closer. He then hummed and began to examine you and your soul, you were filled with anxiety.

Gerson: "Ain't that interesting, you're not fully human, you're a hybrid. Part human, part skeleton, part boss monsters, and something else I can't tell."

Mimic: "Yea, part Flowey, and part ghost." you thought to yourself.

Gerson: "Hmm I guess not Every monster was trapped down here. Though you are mostly human."

Mimic: "Yup part Frisk, and part Chara, not that I'd say that out loud."

Gerson: "Well once we get some of these Cracks healed you maybe able to use magic."

Mimic: "MAGIC!? REALLY!?"

Your eyes sparkled like crimson rubies as you looked at Gerson in pure excitement, making both Gerson, Toriel, and Chara laugh, the heavy atmosphere lightening up a bit.

Gerson: "Yup, but we gotta get you a bit better first before you try okay?"

Mimic: "Okay!~"

The moment of levity helped Toriel, Gerson, and Chara calm down a lot. Chara and Toriel had been worried sick and Toriel nearly fell back into her alcoholism. But the fact she needed to take care of someone stopped her from doing so thankfully. Meanwhile, Sans hadn't been as lucky, he'd ended up drinking himself sick after seeing a picture of Mimic's soul. It was just as bad if not worse than Toriel had described, though Papyrus's Spaghetti helped sober him up with the taste. Sans leaned back in his chair while sitting at his sentry station in Waterfall, Frisk was late, but seeing as this was the fast time she hadn't been possessed by some otherworldly entity and forced to kill everyone. He didn't blame her for wanting to genuinely explore. Cupping his fore-skull and once more glancing at the photo of Mimic's soul Sans nearly slammed his fist into the cave wall. What in the holy hell happened to this kid? If a monster's soul had been this damaged it'd have shattered. Cracking his bone fist into the wall, Sans made Undyne flinch as he hadn't noticed her.

Undyne: "Jeez Sans, blowing your top isn't like you. What's going on?"

Sans: "Undyne? What are you doing here?"

He asked glancing up/over to her from his leaned back position.

Undyne: "Paps told me you were acting... more out of it than normal. What happened?"

Sans: "Huh, so Papy's that worried huh?"

He slid her his phone, which confused her until she looked at the photo, her normally azure/sapphire face paling to a sky blue in a mix of emotions.

Undyne: "What the fuck is this?"

Sans: "It's exactly what it looks like."

Undyne: "No, this can't be a human's soul."

Sans: "You're right, it's a human Child's Souls."

Undyne: "A CHILD'S~!?"

She slammed her hands on the sentry station the wood splintering apart from the force. As soon as the momentary anger subsided she nearly collapsed in a wave of emotion. Sans having to rush to help her stand.

Sans: "Woah, woah! Easy there... I didn't think you'd get so worked up over a human."

Undyne looked at him with a near unreadable expression.

Undyne: "I. . . ... ... ... Fuck! Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, FUCK~!"

She gripped her head tears welling up in her eye.

Sans: "Hey, hey, Undyne, what's going on?"

Undyne: "A kid Sans, a fucking kid, and those humans did THAT to their soul! It's... . . ."

Sans: "... Yea, it's... it's fucked up, their soul is so grayed out we can't even tell what their original soul trait even was. And... all the cracks. . . it's..."

Undyne: "If humans can do That to one of their own children. . . what are they going to do to us once the barrier is broken?"

Sans froze, his bones rattling for a split second. He hadn't thought of that, hell he was used to Genocide runs and No Mercy Routes. He hadn't thought of even seeing the surface again ever, and now. . . the thought of seeing it almost scared him.

Sans: "I... ... ... I don't know."
