 I was in my room. Playing alone with my toys. Two years have past since my mom left and one year ago when granny did. I am now used to my witch step mom's beating and swearing words. I am only ten. I shouldn't be experiencing this things but what can I do? I am just a kid, besides, keeping quiet is all I can do to make her spare Kelli.
    
I've change a lot. I became fit and more pale because I never went outside the house after school, but the real reason is my bruises. I can't let people see me have it.

I am more clean. I can fix my own room, it is always tidy and smells great. I wonder what's my mom's reaction when she see this. I am not his fat dirty son anymore, she can now go back to me. 

Until that happen one day.

"You want chocolate?"

Taehyung, suddenly become nice to me. I hesitated at first but accepted it because I missed eating chocolates!  They never give me treats though I am doing good at school.

"Com'on! Eat it! Before I change my mind."

I stare at his face and started to eat the chocolates. The first bite was heaven!  It was very sweet and I can hear the tiny crunchy sound of the nuts! I suddenly forgotten that I need to be clean, I eat it hapilly like a five years old kid. It melted easily on my finger so I eat the rest in one bite and suck the fingers filled with chocolate. I felt so delightful! Paradise, indeed!

Taehyung smirking at me with his taunt expression. Like he is not liking the scene but don't have a choice but to watch until we heard a scattered sound of the glass. Taehyung quickly go towards the sound and so I do. I did not bothered to cleaned myself first,  the first thing enter my head is Kelli.  What if the witch is hurting her?  Without me knowing it.

We run to the ground floor and I saw there my Dad standing. I chill crawl down my spine when I see his angry expression. This is the first time I saw him this mad. My eyes landed on the scattered flower vase on the ground,  it's water splashed and the flowers still bloom but look so helpless. Like it's life source left and can't be retrieve anymore. 

"I came here to take my children!"

I know that voice. I can't be wrong.  She's back. My mom is back! And she like to take me and Kelli with her. My efforts are all paid now! I can be with her again.

"Tsk! I wasted my time going down here."

Taehyung mumble under his breath. I look up to him only to see his annoying face. He turn his back in just a second and go upstairs and left me.

"If will give you the kids! How will you feed them? They are mine! We already forgotten about you since the day you left with that asshole!"

That revelations got me frozen from my hiding place, like I stopped breathing and my world ceased spinning. So, the witch is right? My mom left me because I am filthy? She doesn't love me anymore?

"Then why did she come back if she doesn't love you?"

My soul chide. The tiny hope in myself tried to crawl up againts the dim and suffocation that sorrounds it. I need to ask her reason, my mom loves me. She loves me and Kelli more than anyone else!

"I love him! You know that!"

My mom exclaimed to my dad then I heard a loud smack sound. She gave mom a strong slap on her face, so strong that she fell off the cold marble floor of our house. I saw her shed tears and caress her cheeks that have been hit by dad and throw him her angry stare.

I can't take it anymore. I can't let my dad hurt my mom. I gather all the strenght in myself and run to her way and immediately give her a tight embrace.

"Mommy! Mommy!"

I cried. I like to say more, that I missed her, that I always think about her and waited for her go home. And if she ask me to come with her then I will not hesitate and go. But my dad grip my arms and pull me away from mom. She kneel down and plead to my dad.

"Please, give me my children. I need them! I am begging you! I can't live without them."

I heard my dad chuckled and hid me behind his legs.

"Then fight for your children at the court then let's see what will happen. You left with that beggar! You left me and my children and besides they have new mom now. She could take care of them. Now, leave my house before I call my guards to throw you out and never, ever come back here."

Mom's face grew more sad. A sign of defeat. She stare at me with her sad eyes blurr with tears. She slowly stood up and did not tried to fought back dad. Tears kept to fell off her cheeks. She slowly turned around and get out of our house. I am so hurt. I waited for two years for this to happen! To see her again and I can't this chance go to waste.

"Mom! Wait for me! I'll come with you!"

I tried to escaped dad's grip but it's so tight. However, I need to chase my mom. 

"Aahhhhhh! Fuck it!"

I bit my dad's leg and he let go of me because of the pain. I quickly run out the house and I see my mom going out the gate which made me smile because she's still here. I still have a chance. I wipe my tears on my cheeks mix with chocolate from my hand. She kneel down and welcome me with her warm hug.

"Mommy, please don't go! Take me with you. It's okay if we are poor, I can eat anything, I can go to public school.  Just don't leave me here!"

I pleaded as I continue cried. She broke the hugged and eye me intently. I saw how her eyes wander around, I guess she already see how dirty I am. She get something from her small bag, a hanky and she wiped the tears and the chocolate on my cheeks.

"S-sorry, If you see me dirty but I can clean myself now mom! I can clean my own room! I'm a mature kid now!"

A smile curve my face but still hers is sad. 

"I - I wish I can take you with me."

"W-why? Don't you love me anymore?"

She grabbed both my shoulder and stare at my eyes.

"N - no, that's not it! "

"Then why! Because, you already have new family? Do you have a new child now? Did you really left us for a new guy? Did you left because I am filthy! I waited mom! I waited!"

I look at her eyes. Waiting for an answer, waiting her to say NO and everything I said were all not true. Yet, she did not. And they said a quiet answer means YES. I burst out in tears. How can she? 

She let go of my shoulder and stand up. I look up to her and meet her eyes but she avoided it. She turned her back and went out the house, I quickly stood up to chased her and hugged her waist and leaned my forehead on her back.

"Mom, please. Don't go!"

I can feel her shiver, resulted by the cried. I heard her sniffed before she speak.

"Let go of me, Suga! Get in the house now. Your Dad will get mad at you!"

"No! No! No!" I embrace tighter her waist.

"Don't you get it kid? You told me earlier that you are now a mature!  Then get in and take care of your sister. Because I will not stay! They are all right, I left with another guy and I have a new child. And you... you... you should take good care of yourself and don't let yourself get dirty!"

It was like a bomb exploded to where I stood.

Dirty.

Dirty.

Dirty.

Dirty.

That word echoes to my brain. Step mom and Taehyung were right. She left me because I am dirty and filthy. If she did not met looking like this today, I guess, maybe something different have happened. I stop crying and all I can hear is my heart thumping fast. Mom remove my hand from her waist and  walk away from me.

"Mom."

Please look back.

"Mom!"

So I can wait again.

"Mooommm!"

And the time we meet again.

"Mommmmyyyyy!"

You'll meet a brand new Suga. Clean,  neat and tidy one.

"Mom."

But she did not looked back. She left me now for real. This is all my fault. If I did not ate that chocolate. If I just became careful and cleaned first before I get down the ground floor. If... If.   

"Hey! Hey! Hey! Are you okay?"

I look up and see a girl grinning with a wide smile on her face.

I open my eyes slowly and  blink for few times to adjust my fuzzy vision. I wander my eyes around the place and I am sure that it is not my place. Everything is a dream, no, a nightmare.

"Hey! Hey! Are you okay? You're dreaming."

She handed me a hanky, I accepted it and glanced on her face. She is wearing a huge smile but she tried not to get too close to me.

"Can you recognize me?"

After the commosion last night, we take the pale guy at Jin's house. Well,  we don't know where he live and he fainted. 

Flashback

I watch the pale guy walk woobly away from us. Is he drunk? Jin left me for a while and came back after few moments. 

"We can go home now."

Since, we are both tired, I agreed to him to get home and have a rest.  We've been here at the venue since early in the afternoon. Jin carry the bag and I am Carrying some dress in the plastic bag and ride an elevator down to the parking lot area.

We are laughing as we talk about random things when I saw the pale guy having a hard time opening the door of his car. He look so drunk and wasted. 

I tried to brushed it off and continue to walk towards our car just near where he was when I saw a girl wearing a uniform. A uniform the waitresses  wearing at the venue. I thought she just help the pale guy to open his car since he can't make it. Therefore, I gasp when she push him and let him lean his back on the car. I quickly give the dresses I held to Jin and run towards them.

She is harassing him! I don't know if he can feel it but she is touching his hand and his chest at the same time. Then her hand crawl up to his cheeks. I ran faster and when she is about to kiss him, I pushed her hard! She stumble on the ground but I am not even sorry. Right then, I saw Jin followed me then grip the girls hand so she cannot escape.

"Hey, hey! You okay?"

I tried to talk to him without touching him and he doesn't smell alcohol. So it means, that girl drug him! 

"I... I..."
               
He grabbed my hand. I don't know if he is aware. I know he can't be touch. He hate dirty things. I noticed it the first day I met him. Yet, his touch send sudden chills to me and I am not sure why.

"Everything will be fine."

He lost his concious and fell off to my shoulder. He is taller than me so I had a hard time taking him to the car.

"What are we gonna do?"

I asked Jin. The girl escape his grip and ran faster away from us. Jin was about to chase her but stop when he heard my question.

"We have no choice but to take him home."

"How about his car?"

"I'll call Rapmon. We'll take his car with us since we have the key."

I nodded then he helped me to take the pale guy in the car. 

End of flashback

             I woke him up from a wild dream. He's tearing up and sweating hard. He is calling for his Mom. I don't know what have happened to him and his mom but I can see that it is very sad. I suddenly miss my mom again. Well, I can just visit her at the girls dorm. 

Jin and Rapmon did their promise and take my mom from our place. She's staying now at the girl's dorm and looking after them.

"Can you recognize me?"

The pale guy get up from bed and look at my face straight and slightly tilting his head.

"The model of my sister?"

"Sister? Ma'am Kelli is your sister?"

He remove the blanket on him and inspect himself.

"Did you... somehow touch me?"

Seriously? After all the things I did for him? Still, he asked me about touching him?

"Ahm, I guess? Yeah, not because I like it! But I need. You fainted and we have no choice. So, Kelli is your sister?"

He inspect his watch and curse after.

"Can I borrow men's clothes? I need to take a bath and go to my boss."

"Answer me first! Is Kelli your sister?"

He stare at me stroking his one eyebrow.

"Yeah! Happy now? He went out the bedroom and Jin caught us. 

"Hey, good morning, Bro!"

 The pale guy look at him.

"Can you lend me a clothes? I need to clean and go. Don't worry I'll buy new one for you."

"Oh! Wow! How rude of you, Bro? You haven't said thank you for our help."

"Thank you."

The pale guy said without feelings.  Why is he so rude? Jin scratch his head and get some clothes from his room and handed to him. 

He went to the bathroom and after that he walk straight out the house and hop in to his car without saying goodbye to any of us so I chase him.

"Hey! Pale guy!"

He glance at me before he can even close the door of the driver's seat. I approach him and handed him the gray blanket he left the night I met him.

"Please, take care and don't accept food again from anyone. I guess the girl drug you."

"I know and I can handle myself. "

He just stare at the blanket then look at my face.

"Thank you, anyway, About helping me, before."

"We are now even and I hope this would be the last."

He close the dooor of his car and glance at me again after he liven the engine.

"Don't tell anyone about this and I don't need that blanket. You keep or throw it is not my concern anymore."

I scowl my face. How can he be so rude to the person who helped him?

"And one more thing... My name is not PALE GUY."

"Then what is it?"

He shrug and started to drive but a loud ringtone of his phone made him stopped. He answered it quickly.

"What?"

"Where!"

"Send me the address, I'm coming."

I saw his pinkish lips become pale, he look so restless. He slam the steering wheel and cursed.

"Damn it!"

"W-what happen?" I saw tears escape his small eyes.

"My granny... was taken to the hospital!"

"What? Then why are you still here!  Go now!"

"I can't!" He shouted and slam again the steering wheel.

"I cannot enter the hospital! There were lot's of sick patients there,  viruses, germs. I will choose to die than go there! That's why my Granny choose to be medicated at house because I can visit her. But now... Now..."

I quickly open the passenger seat and laid the gray blanket on the seat.

"What are you doing?"

"What the hell? Just drive to where your grandma is. If you can't enter the place then I will go instead to see what happened there."

He gave me his unbelievable stare.

"Go! Drive now!"

"Ok- okay!"

He drive away from home. I don't know why I represent myself to help him but I can't take to see him crying and look so helpless. I just hope his granny is fine.
