I was at the corner hugging my knees.  No more tears anymore are coming out from my eyes. I felt so numb,  hopeless and dead inside.

The room is not small but I felt suffocated. White roses which is her favorite flower are line up on the small counter. Her huge  photo frame is situated at the center. She look so lovely and her smile is very sweet. I stare at her eyes and mumble the words I wanted to say to her, But she cannot hear me anymore. 

I watch as the guests give their respects to my Grandma. 

Yes, my Grandma died. She did not told me that her condition got worst. The doctor suggested her to admit herself at the hospital but she rejected, because of me. She know that I can't get in that kind of place. Again, it's my fault why one of my love ones leave and never come back.

Kelli went in the room with this familiar girl, the girl who help me to reach the hospital. The one who saw my Grandma's pitiful situation there.  They gave their respect to my Granny then they talk for a bit. 

She look at my way and walk towards me. She sat down bit away from me and also hugged her knees.

"Condolence."

I glance at her and she's staring at my Granny's photo.

"You said that a lot of times."

She turn to me and took a deep sigh.

"Your grandma loves you so much."

Flashback 2 days ago (Ashley's POV)

After he park his car, I invited him to come with me. I even told him that I could bought face mask and gloves for him but he really can't. He can't step forward when we came to the entrance of the hospital. I witnessed how he winced his face and her skin get more pale everytime he see sick patients getting in and out the hospital door.

"Okay! Just wait for me here! I'll be quick!"

I told him and I entered the hospital and asked the receptionist where is Kelli Min's Grandma room. When I got the information, my feet move so fast to reach the room. 

When I found it, I did not wasted any second and knocked on the door and Kelli opened it.

"What- why are you here?"

I get in first and I almost tear up though I personally don't know his granny, still, I felt hurt. She look so pale and our eyes met.

"I am with your Brother, the pale guy."

Kelli, curve a small smile on her face and guide me closer to her Granny. She force a frail smile on her face and survey me.

"Good morning Ma'am. I am with your grandson but he is outside the hospital and waiting. He is very worried about you. Please, get well soon."

The old lady reach for my hand slowly and pressed it so light that I can't even feel it. 

"Tell, my baby Sugar that her Granny love him so much. Also tell him to stop blaming himself for everything. Tell him not to worry about me, everyone will come this point and I am happy that I spent some of my time with him. "

I let tears fell off my cheeks again and can't stop myself to sniff.  She love the pale guy so much, so much that I cannot sense any disappointment on her voice about him not able to enter this hospital for her. I pressed her hand and tried to stop crying.

"Don't worry Ma'am, I will tell him everything."

She smile at me again and said.

"Anyway, I am glad that for the first time. He interact with other people.  Thank you for understanding his situation."

I was about to answer when a doctor get in the room and interrupted our talked.

"Granny, please, take rest now. You badly need it."

The doctor said to her and so the old woman close her eyes slowly. The doctor turn to us.

"Are you the family of the patient?"

"I'm her granddaughter Doc."

The doctor checked first the paper he held and review it for a moment then he look up again.

"The patient, have a request not to tell you about her real condition but we can't keep it going now. Please  understand and listen. She has leukemia, and what keep her alive is the medicine and the blood transfusion. Therefore, her body is getting weak since she's getting older. She requested to stop the treatment. She went through a lot of pain and she wanted it to stop, however, we will still continue to treat her but no blood transfusion."

Kelli hugged me and cried on my shoulder. I can't believe it. So in no matter of time, thier grandmother will die. Since kelli cannot response, I did it instead.

"What if the grandchildren wanted to continue the treatment?"

"I'm sorry, but the agreement is between the hospital and the patient.  Even the son, can't convince her to continue her treatment."

I caress Kelli's back for her cry is getting louder and I can feel her body tremble because of it.

"I'm really sorry. All I can suggest now is be with her side until her time."

The thought of the pale guy suddenly occur. I slowly let go of  Kelli and told her that I will get her Brother.

I run as fast as can to get out of the hospital. I saw him walking balk and fort outside looking so restless. He approach me immediately from the time he saw me.

"What happen to her? Is she fine? Have you talked to her? Did she looked for me?"

He question me subsequently. Nervousness is visible all over his face. But, how can I start telling him about the sad fate his granny facing? How can I tell him that someone special in his life will soon gone?

"Tell me!"

He screamed in front of my face. He look so wasted, frustrated. I glare at his eyes trying to make him calm, if it can.

"Y - you're granny. She need you.  Please, endure everything and get inside the place."

He stroke his brows and bit his lower lip. He frustatedly mess his hair then facepalm himself harshly.

"How the fuck I can enter that place! Can't you get it? I can't do it! Even if you---"

"You grandma is dying and the doctor said that her love ones should be with her!"

I interrupted his complaints. I know, I sounded harsh but what can I do? I need to push him! His annoyance replace with sadness. Tears escape his red small eyes, he look so helpless.

"You're grandma knows that you can't but I did not sense any disappointment in her voice though I know, I know that she likes to see you. She understand you. So please! For her! Try it! Just try it!"

He weakly stood up. Like he would fell off and fainted right in front of me. I like to comfort him, let him know that he's not alone, that I  am here though he doesn't need me. But I can't, I cannot come near him. 

Right then Kelli came, still her eyes are red resulted by her crying. I saw her approached and about to embraced him but she did not continued. 

"Don't worry, Granny will go home a bit later. Wait for her at home."

I saw how his face lighten up only for few moments because they know what this means. Their Granny really have given up and she just wanted now to be with them in her last days. 

"O-okay, go now. I can take the bus from here."

I suggested. Kelli held my hand and said her thanks and Suga just nodded at me then hop in the driver's seat. After that, Kelli get inside again the hospital. I was left alone but what I am feeling now cannot compare to what they are experiencing and I hope they can get through this.

End of flashback.

"I know and I will never ever forget all the things she said to me before she left. I'll keep them forever."

She smile at me and turn her head again against my Granny's photo.

"Anyway, thanks for everything."

"Wow! Have a heard it right? Did you said thanks?"

She gaze at me with her gleaming eyes. Is it my first time to say thank you to her? I did not noticed.

"Hey, Pale Guy, I know we are not close pal but I like to say please, be strong and I know you will get through this!"

It's been two nights since I started to cry but here I am laughing because of her. She lighten up my mood a bit.

"I told you my name is not PALE GUY."

"Then, what is your name?"

"Suga."

She moved and face me then stretch her arm have a hand shake.

"Ashley."

But I did not accepted her hand and just look at it. 

"Oh! I'm sorry, I forgot!"

I know, I waited for this to happen. The chairwoman is gone, that means Dad will climb up and I will become the new president. I pitied the old woman, of course. But, this is the only way for us to get everything and besides it's not me who ended her life but her own health.

I am currently eating my breakfast alone at the dining area when my mom came. She went to my back and massage my shoulder. I know she's happy.

"The old woman is gone. No one is in position anymore. What's your plan Taehyung, son?"

 I put down my spoon and fork and drink first to swallow down my food before I answer.

"We need to convince the board to make dad the new chairman then I will climb up. Since Kelli and Suga are not interested, getting everything will no longer be a problem."

She stop masaging my shoulders and pulled a chair next to me then sat down. I glance at her. My mom is at her at early forties but she look so young. Her skin is fair, no wrinkles to be seen, she has long eyelashes and pointed nose. No wonder Dad is head over heals for her and her figure is still curvy and fine.

"But I want you to become the Chairman."

I know my mom is greedy in terms of wealth but dad is only in his early forties too. Unless some accident would happened.

"We can wait for that mom, especially that it's only me, Dad can count on about the company."

"I know, your dad is not a problem. But, I am worried about Suga, what if he change his mind?"

I chuckled to that thought.

"Mom, do you think the board will appoint him as a new chairman just because he is the first son? No! He needs to be capable of running the business and Suga knows nothing about it. He is just an Author!"

"Anyway, are you coming to the old woman's burial?"

I continue to eat and just nod my head. Of course, I need to be there since some of the business partners and boarders would be there. I need to carve deep impression to them.

"Okay, I'll go there with your dad later. I need to give my best act since this is the last time that I will act nice for her."

I did not answer and get up from my chair and left the dining area. I need to go to office first to see what's new. I know they will start the meeting about appointing the next Chairman  once the old lady's interment was done. And I need to be cautious. It's not only me who wanted that position. Besides I also promise my mom that...

I will be the next President of the company and the Chairman in the future. Then throw away that Bastard to where he belong.
