Castle and Knots

Briana's POV

When I woke up this morning and got ready, there was a limo waiting oursdie of my hotel which make me curse, especially once I saw that my rental car had already been returned.

Apparently Chelsea isn't letting me go back on my promise not matter what.

It's scary to be on the way back here on Faerie lands after so many years and while I can feel a small sense of panic try to overtake me, I'm more intrigued by the city around us as we drive towards the castle.

As we pass through many parts of the city, H begin to see a theme. Every few streets the whole aesthetic and mood of neighborhoods change and whole at first I didn't hey it it suddenly becomes clear when I see a leaf flag hanging from one house in a neighborhood filled with wooden house and cabin like homes.

In the Northern part of Kaulike right outside the city limits there's a small town called Faerie Land thats just the castle and the Faeries living inside their own little worlds. Magic is used all around here though unlike Warlocks, it's not used as freely.

I watch as we pass through the Water part of the city and I gasp in awe as I see lorre streams flowing through the neighborhoods, the houses different shade of blue and glass as it shines beautifully in the sun. After we pass through all the homes and through a down town area, the view quickly turns to trees, farms and open beautiful lands for a few miles.

On my left, I see a compound, large and wide and I see different buildings with different symbols on it making me recognized it as what it is.

The Training Zone.

It's where all Faeries ages ten through eighteen practice their talents and work to be the best they can at what they do an to learn to coronen their powers. I never went, only heard about it in the castle and when I was in school.

I turn my head away from the building as I begin to see the terrain change yet again, this time to a fancier setting. I watch as the grass turns a emerald green, stretching out as far as the eye can see, covering the groun in the perfect healthy grass. I see a few animals walking around freely, a deer, a bunny and a few others that are too far for my eyes to catch.

I watch as a stream comes out of no where, no start that I can see and it winds it's way through the landscape sometimes disappearing among trees only to reveal itself near the road a few minutes later.

As much as I would love to talk shot about the place that I was born and talk about just how ugly people can be to each other here, one thing I can always say is: It's beautiful. The culture, the landscape, the people the diversity, all of it is so beautiful and I love it. It's breathtaking.

Just when I think I can't be anymore impressed, I begin to see the top of a building come across the horizon as we mount a hill, the driver as silent as when I first got into the car as we make our way toward my cousin.

As we come over the hill, the only thing I can see if a white castle, the carvings and decoration in the stone and glass is beautiful as it beams in the late morning sun. Driving up to the castle's security, and it's gate, all you see are thousands of flowers, tiny lakes and precisó i sculptures spread before the lands, showing just how talents the Faeries of the land are.

When we get to the security check point it takes about half an hour to show who I am, who I am here for and to go through my ID and bags and while it annoys me I understand.

This Artemis person is important to their people, almost like an Alpha to Faeries, and it would be devastating to them as a culture of something was to happen to here.

So I sit mostly still and barely patient, almost growling at one that goes to inspect my toiletries. While Supers done bleed like juman women, we still don't appreciate our belonging being touched, especially when we wash and touch our face with the things in that bag. If does make my laugh to myself quietly when I realized I almost growled, spending way too much time with Wolves.

Once we're clear my driver continues on the way and I keep my gaze out of the window where as we pull into the large circular driveway and when we get to the end, I see guard standing every fifteen feet along with six at the door but what catches my attention to my cousin standing on the steps with a big smile on her face, brown curls dancing in the wind as she waits for me.

My driver pulls up in front of Chelsea and she's quick to run over to my side of the car, opening my door before the man can even think about it.

She pulls me out of the car and into a hug that makes me tense up at the display of affection before I give into it and hug her back.

"I'm so glad you came!" She gushes and I snort at her in amusement.

"I didn't really have a choice. I had no car." I tell her as the driver goes to get my stuff out of the trunk and I follow him with a frown not liking the idea of someone else touching my shit or thinking that I'm incapable of taking care of myself.

"I think we both know that if you wanted to get away, you would have." She tells me but I chose to ignore her making her giggle a bit as she picks up a bag as well, following my lead to help.

We walk in front of the driver and through the doors that the guards pull open and my mouth falls open as I take in the decor, large open foyer with a beautiful decor and Chelsea laughs at my face.

"It is a bit jaw dropping. I guess I don't even notice it anymore. Now I have you to humble me." She tells me and I snort in disbelief, still not understanding how hotheaded little old me came from here, this perfect blemish free place thats the home of a family in power. Maybe one can say that my family is the same but I grew up with those assholes. Alex will always be the skinny wolf with acne problems and James will always been the shy Alpha.

"You're going to be staying in my rooms with me. But I wanted to show you something that every Earth Faerie would see in their lifetime if they can." She tells me, gesturing for me to give my bags to some servants who I think appeared out of no where.

I've never seen or heard of people that live so silently.

I reluctantly give up my bags and before I can even utter a thanks, my cousin is grabbing my hands and pulling me through the halls, too fast for me to find anything of use or explore but I don't mind, knowing she'll probably show me everything while I'm here for the next day and a half.

We continue through the castle until we reach a door along a wall, fully made of glass as it lets in a the full light of the outside world though it's softened. At first I think the wall around it is just wallpaper until I see that it's just tinted glass, the view coming from outside and the realization makes me gasp.

As Chelsea pulls me through the door and the light brightens form the hallway, I see that we're put out on to a path, on either side of us is a tower of flowers and as we walk along the walkway, I see the bushes as lush and green, the flowers in them making the path in a rainbow.

When I look closer I begin to see that the flowers, while i'm a color order, ademas all the same and I see that the blue section that we're on has daisies, roses, lilacs and all different flowers in one hue. And the colors shift so flawlessly even if the color of the flowers aren't natural, it makes it all seem so seamless and perfect.

"This is gorgeous." I tell Chelsea and she sighs happily next to me.

"It's my favorite place in the whole world. The more I explore the gardens the more stuff I find, the Faeries always adding more. It's so peaceful here and I practice on making the same flowers that I see. I still haven't done so well with coming up with the smell, but I'm getting better." She admits.

We walk out fo the tunnel like walk way filled with flowers and decide on an open path that has a small river next to it, the sun beaming down on us in a soft way.

"It's better here than what I thought." I tell her and she laughs a bit, sadly if my ears are still working.

"Outside beauty does not always match the one within." She tells me but before I can question her I feel my nose twitch as the smol of Power and Honey fills it and I turn, only to see the most beautiful girl in the world come towards me.

She hair falls to the middle of her back, dark and curled slightly at the ends as she races towards me. She eyes are pure gold, a sign of peer that I don't pay attention to, only how the sun gleams in them softly. She body is soft curves in the outfit and that's all I can see before she's on me, arms wrapped around me as lips find my neck and she holds me to her body.

It's only then, wrapped in her smell and embrace that I remember that I've seen her before.

"Artemis?"

And she freezes.
