After the invaders have been taken care of by the students, the police soon showed up to secure the area and capture the attackers. Tatsumi and another Disciplinary Committee student had arrested Tsukasa as he tried to escape.

Right now, Akiri, Tatsuya, Miyuki, Erika and Leo, along with Mayumi, Mari and Jyumonji, were all gathered around the bed in which Mibu was placed in. She had been treated for the broken bone Erika had given her trying to stop her from running away.

She was explaining to them what happened to her and the other students which were involved in the scheme.

Mibu: For over a year, Captain Tsukasa has been exhorting the kendo to bring about the end of the discrimination by magic. The captain once lured me into the Blanche branch office, as well. Apparently, his older brother is the head of the Japan Branch...

She tightened her fist, gripping onto the bedsheets.

As he was listening on, Akiri noticed that Mayumi and Mari were sneaking glances at him, but he didn't think much of it and ignored it.

Mibu: Not long after I enrolled here, there was an incident where I was discriminated against as a Course 2 student... I think that was why I listened to what the captain said so intently

Akiri then sensed that someone else was listening in and his suspicion was correct as he looked out the window to see Kirihara Takeaki, leaning against the wall.

Tatsuya: What incident was it?

Tatsuya asked and Mibu paused for a moment before she looked down.

Mibu: Um... The kenjutsu team had caused a disturbance, recruiting... And I saw Watanabe-senpai magic sword skills when she suppressed it, which took my breath away... So right away, I asked if she could take me on and advised me, but she just coldly brushed me off...

Mari: What was that?

Everyone had surprised expressions as they turned towards Mari, who was just as shocked herself.

Akiri: That doesn't sound like anything Watanabe-senpai would say

Mibu: It's true. She said, "You're no match for me, so it would be a waste of time. Go pick an opponent you're worthy of." I thought it was probably because I was a Course 2 student. And the thought of that...

Mari: Hey, hold up. I remember what happened that day. Listen, I never brushed you off, all right? If I remember correctly, this is what I told you that day. "With my skills, I could never hope to be a match for you. It would be better if you practices with someone worthy of your skills." Am I wrong?

Mibu went wide-eyed at her statement.

Mayumi: Wait, Mari. So you said you were declining to practice with Mibu-san because she was stronger than you?

Mari: Of course, if magic were involved, my skills might be superior... But Mibu has trained in pure swordsmanship, no way I can beat her with my sword

Mibu: Then... It was all... A misunderstanding... On my part...?

She muttered in disbelief as her eyes well up in tears. Akiri then narrowed his eyes in suspicion.

Akiri: (thoughts) No... There's something else happening here... The way she told us about the incident... She was certain that it was true... Almost too certain...

Mibu: I don't believe this... I'm such an idiot... Just assuming... Misunderstanding you like that... Putting myself down... Wasting a whole year, resenting your kindness...

She said between disheartened sobs, clearly regretting every single decision that she made.

Tatsuya: I don't think it was a waste

Tatsuya said causing Mibu to look up towards him.

Mibu: Shiba-kun?

Tatsuya: This is what Erika had to say after observing your moves. You became so powerful, like a different person compared to when you were in junior high. That's undeniably the result of the swordsmanship skills you polished with your own two hands. Instead of wallowing in resentment, or drowning in sorrow, you kept on improving and polishing yourself, no way can that year be called a waste

A smile grew on Akiri's face at his speech.

Akiri: (thoughts) Well said, Tatsuya

Mibu: Shiba-kun...

Mibu said, with tears in her eyes and she lowered her head.

Mibu: There's just one thing I'd like you to do for me...

Tatsuya: What is it?

Mibu: Please don't move for a second...

Mibu then grabbed his shirt and began to sob into it.

(Timeskip)

After Mibu had calmed down they all decided on what they wanted to do next.

Tatsuya: Now, then. The question is, where are the people from Blanche at this moment?

Everyone aside from Akiri looked at him in shock.

Mayumi: Tatsuya-kun, don't tell me you're planning to take them on in battle?

Mayumi asked.

Tatsuya: That's not an appropriate choice of words

Akiri: We're going to destroy them

Akiri finishes his sentence, cracking his knuckles.

Mari: That's dangerous! You two would be overstepping your boundaries as students!

Mayumi: I'm against it, too. We should leave non-school-related issues to the police

Tatsuya: So... Will you be sending Mibu-senpai to Family Court for attempted robbery?

Akiri: Going with your logic, that would be your next move, is it not?

Jyumonji: I see. Police intervention would be undesirable. That said, we can't just let this go. Still, Shiba, Amatsuki... We're up against terrorists. Neither I, nor Saegusa, nor Watanabe would ask the students here to risk their lives

Tatsuya: Of course, you wouldn't. From the start, I never intended to turn to the Student Council or the Extracurricular Activities Federation for help. Nor you as well

Tatsuya said looking at Akiri.

Akiri: Sorry, but I was planning to go regardless if I get any assistance or not

Jyumonji: Are you planning to go on your own?

Jyumonji asked them.

Miyuki: I'm going with you!

Erika: I'll go, too

Erika said stepping forward.

Leo: Me, too!

Mibu looked at everyone in shock before turning to Tatsuya.

Mibu: Shiba-kun, if you're doing this for me, I'm begging you to please stop. I'll be fine. I know I should be punished for what I did. But if something were to happen to you all because of me...

Tatsuya: I'm not doing this for your sake, Mibu-senpai

Mibu: Huh?

Tatsuya: The zone in which I live has been targeted by terrorists. If anyone tries to ruin my daily life, and Miyuki's, I will eradicate them all. For me, that is my highest priority

Akiri: These guys are too dangerous and unpredictable. If we leave them alone, who knows whatever scheme they have planned next. It's best that we deal with them quickly

They said with a menacing expression on their faces and everyone looked at them shocked.

Miyuki: But, Onii-sama, Akiri. How are we going to locate Blanche's headquarters?

Miyuki asked.

Akiri: Give me 24 hours. I should be able locate their exact whereabouts by then

Tatsuya: That won't be necessary. If there's something you don't know, just ask someone who does

Tatsuya said before walking over to the door and opening it, revealing Ms. Ono behind it, listening in.

Mayumi: Ms. Ono?

Ono then looked at Tatsuya and sighed.

Ono: Thinking could hide from a disciple of Master Kokonoe... I guess that was naive of me...

She said rubbing the back of her head.

Ms. Ono then had everyone back away from Mibu as the two privately talked. She then gave Tatsuya the location and left. It seems like the location is an abandoned factory, hidden in the forest.

Tatsuya: An abandoned bio-fuel factory?

Akiri: It looks pretty secluded... It would be better to go by car

Akiri said, studying the picture on Tatsuya's device.

Miyuki: Are we going to break in head-on?

Akiri: Yeah. We have the element of surprise. We'll break through the front entrance and rush them before they could react

Jyumonji: Then I'll get that car for us

Mayumi: You're going, too, Jyumonji?

Jyumonji: As a member of one of the Ten Master Clans, it's obviously my duty. But more than that, as someone who's also a student at First High School, I can't ignore this situation

Mayumi: Then...

Jyumonji: Saegusa, you can't go

Akiri: Remember that you're also the Student Council president. It wouldn't be wise for someone as important as you to be away at a time like this

Akiri explained as Jyumonji gave a nod and Mayumi just let out a defeated sigh.

Mayumi: Understood. But if that's the case, Mari, you can't go, either. After all, there still might be some remnants hiding on campus. Not having the Disciplinary Committee chairwoman around would be problematic

Mari just sighed as she had to concede the point.

Akiri, Tatsuya, Miyuki, Jyumonji, Erika, Leo, and also Kirihara are currently riding inside Jyumonji's car, a Hummer H1, heading towards the abandoned factory that Blanche was hiding in.

Akiri and Leo had to sit in the back seats, and Akiri was feeling cramped sitting next to Leo.

Akiri: Oi Leo, could you move over a bit? You're taking too much space, I'm getting squished here

He said, irritated by the small space he had left.

Leo: Are you saying that I'm fat?

Akiri: You said it, not me

Erika giggled at the exchange.

Jyumonji: Shiba. This plot is your brainchild. You issue the commands

Tatsuya: Right. Leo

Tatsuya said, looking at him.

Tatsuya: You secure our retreat. Erika, you assist Leo and deal with anyone who tries to escape

Erika: Don't you want any of them captured?

Tatsuya: No need to take on any undue risk. Just make sure you do it safely and securely

Tatsuya then looked at Jyumonji.

Tatsuya: Chairman, please head for the rear exit with Kirihara-senpai. Miyuki, Akiri and I will continue and break-in

Jyumonji: Gotcha. You can count on us!

Akiri then looked out the window and saw the facility through the tree line.

Akiri: That's the place. Sharp left, now

The car then turned around the corner and was speeding towards the closed gate of the facility as they all braced themselves, prepared to ram the gate.

Tatsuya: Now Leo!

Leo: Panzer!

Leo shouted as he glowed red from his fortification spell that spread over the vehicle. Jyumonji slammed the pedal and the Hummer roars loudly as it accelerates towards the gate and smashed right through it.

Jyumonji quickly brought the vehicle to a stop just outside the door to the facility and everyone exited before immediately going to the locations to which they were assigned to.

Currently, Tatsuya and Miyuki we're walking through the factory, with Akiri following closely behind, watching their flanks. The factory was desolate, as expected from an abandoned facility. There were broken glass shards littered everywhere, as well as electrical wires dangling from the ceiling.

As they rounded a corner to a long hallway that ended in a set of doors, Tatsuya closed his eyes for a moment.

He saw that the room ahead of them was filled with Blanche members that were armed with rifles. After a short moment, he then opened his eyes.

Tatsuya: Let's go, Miyuki, Akiri

Miyuki: Right

She replied and the three moved forward.

Tatsuya cracked the door open and peered inside before fully opening the door. They walked into the room while looking around cautiously.

As they were walking, the shutters above them were suddenly opened, letting the fading sunlight shine into the room, revealing someone standing in front of them, with a group of men behind him.

It was a man with glasses and dressed in white, Akiri knew who he is, the leader of the Japanese Branch of Blanche, Tsukasa Hajime.

Hajime: Welcome!

Tatsuya, who was shielding his eyes from the sudden intrusion of sunlight, lowered his hand.

Hajime: So nice to meet you, Tatsuya Shiba! And Her Highness standing next to you... that must be your younger sister, Miyuki, no?

He then looks towards Akiri and smirked.

Hajime: And Akiri Amatsuki as well, what a surprise. I was hoping to see you again, so that I could repay you for what you did

Tatsuya and Miyuki turned their heads towards Akiri.

Akiri: That's funny. I'm pretty sure I beat your ass last time. What makes you think this time is going to be any different?

Hajime: You got lucky. And this time, I came prepared

He said, gesturing to the armed men behind him.

Tatsuya: Are you the leader of Blanche?

Tatsuya asked.

Hajime: Ah, that was rude of me. I'm the leader of Blanche's Japan Branch, Tsukasa Hajime

At those words, Tatsuya drew Silver Horn while Akiri drew Eclipse and they each pointed their CADs at him.

Tatsuya: I see. Well, at any rate, I advise that you surrender. All of you, put your weapons down and put your hands behind your heads

Akiri: You're better off doing as he says. Because I won't be as kind

He threatened and Hajime then started to laugh.

Hajime: Hahaha! If you think magic is such an absolute power, you're sadly mistaken!

He chuckled again and raised his hand, causing his men to prepare their weapons.

Hajime: Tatsuya Shiba... Become one of us! Your ability to perform cast-jamming without the use of antinite... I'm keenly interested in that technique. And Amatsuki... I can let you off if you are willing to join us. Someone of your caliber could be useful to me

Tatsuya: So, using Mibu-senpai to make contact with me, and having your brother assault me... That was what you were after?

Miyuki scoffed.

Hajime: Nothing I like more than an intelligent child. But the fact that you were aware of all that, yet still showed up here...

He then took off his glasses and raised them high above his head.

Hajime: ...Proves that you're a child after all

He then threw his glasses in the air.

Hajime: Shiba Tatsuya! You will join us as our comrades!

He lifted the bangs of his hair up and his eyes began to flash, sending out purple waves at them.

Tatsuya flinched for a moment, but neither he, nor the others were affected by it.

Tatsuya: Consciousness Interference Type Magic, Evil Eye. Or so you call it, but in reality... The flicker of those light signals with hypnotic pattern is projected into a target's retinas...

Akiri: So it's a Light-wave Oscillation Magic Spell. In other words, it's nothing more than simple hypnosis

Tatsuya: Is that what you used to replace Mibu-senpai's memories, too?

Hajime flinched, completely shocked that the two were able to figure out his secret with only one look at his spell.

Miyuki: Onii-sama, are you saying that...?

Tatsuya: Yes

Akiri: Her memories were altered so that she believed that she was slighted by Watanabe-senpai. Mibu-senpai's unnatural certainty to the event was a dead giveaway

Miyuki: You vulgar rogues!

Hajime: You... Why...?

Tatsuya: How pathetic is that? You tried to draw our attention to your right hand by removing your glasses, thereby diverting my gaze from your left hand, controlling your CAD. As if a cheap trick like that would work on me

He explained.

Tatsuya: As long as I can see the Activation Sequence, all I have to do is delete a part of it to render your tacky spell into mere light signals

Hajime: How could you... Wasn't your magic counterattack cast-jamming, you bastard!

Akiri: Stooping to insults now, are we? What happened to all that confidence a few minutes ago?

Hajime: Fire... Fire!

Even before his men could take aim, their weapons glowed before disassembling into their individual parts and components. Hajime looked back at his men in
shock.

Hajime: What the hell is going on?

He looked back at Tatsuya who was glaring at him with his cold blue eyes and Akiri with the same dark, serious expression.

Hajime screamed and shoved his followers aside and fled toward the back of the room.

Miyuki: Onii-sama. Please pursue him! We'll take care of these people

Tatsuya: All right

Tatsuya said before giving Akiri a look, silently telling him to take care of his sister and Akiri nodded, getting the message.

The crowd of Blanche members parted as Tatsuya calmly walked through them, going after Hajime. Until one of them decided to attempt to attack him using a knife.

???: You...!

Just as he was approaching Tatsuya's back, Miyuki raised her hand and frost quickly enveloped the man's body, freezing him instantly. He slowly fell to the ground.

Miyuki: You fool

Miyuki said, and the other men were looking at their frozen comrade in shock.

Tatsuya: Don't overdo it

Tatsuya said just as he was walking out the door.

Tatsuya: This bunch isn't worth you getting your hands soiled over

Miyuki: Very well, Onii-sama

Akiri: Don't worry. If it gets that far, I'll handle it

Tatsuya looked at Akiri for a moment before walking out the door.

Miyuki: You people are certainly out of luck

Miyuki said as she glowed blue from preparing a spell with murderous intent and Akiri was shocked as he read its activation sequence.

Miyuki: If only you hadn't raised your hands against Onii-sama, you would've gotten off with just a bit of pain

As Miyuki was about to cast the spell, she was stopped when Akiri grabs her arm and lowers it and she looked at him surprised.

Miyuki: Akiri...?

Akiri: That spell you are casting... Wide-range Oscillation-deceleration type Magic, Niflheim...

Miyuki: You can read activation sequences too...?

He just nodded.

Akiri: That spell could be lethal, you know?

Miyuki: But... They were going to hurt Onii-sama...

Akiri smiled, hearing her say that.

Akiri: You must really care about your brother...

Miyuki blushes slightly as he said that. Akiri then took a step forward towards the men as he places his CAD back in its holster.

Akiri: ...But taking the lives of these men... is too much of a burden for you...

Miyuki then looks at him.

Akiri: So let me carry it...

His expression completely changes to a more serious one, a side of him Miyuki had never had a glimpse of before. He then reached behind his back, under his jacket and pulled out a tactical knife and held it in a reverse grip, brandishing it towards them.

He took a deep breath and released, going into a state of complete focus, preparing to activate his Innate Magic.

Akiri: Time alter... Penta accel...

(Timeskip)

An hour later, several special agents showed up and hauled away Hajime and the other Blanche members who had survived. Erika, Leo, and Miyuki were standing outside the building as Jyumonji was explaining the situation to the agents.

Leo: So that's it, huh?

Erika: Anticlimactic, much? We came all this way only to be left on the sidelines... What a bummer!

Lei: Well, not that the Chairman, Tatsuya, and Akiri would let anyone slip through the cracks

Erika: And having to hold down the fort with you made it all the more lame

She teases him with a smirk.

Leo: What did you say?

As they were about to begin bickering, Tatsuya was seen exiting the building.

Miyuki: Onii-sama!

She immediately ran towards him.

Miyuki: Did you hurt yourself?

Tatsuya: I'm fine. How about you?

Miyuki: I'm okay

She replied with a nod.

Miyuki: But, Onii-sama... Akiri...

She said, turning her head towards Akiri who was looking on alone from the sideline, leaning against the wall with his hands in his pockets, and Tatsuya went to approach him.

Tatsuya: Those dead bodies inside... Was that your doing?

He asked Akiri with a serious expression, staring right into his eyes.

Akiri: Yes

Akiri just told him the truth, as there is no way he could hide it.

Akiri: Don't worry, Miyuki shouldn't have seen anything too violent. I made sure I went fast enough

Without another word, he walked away, leaving Tatsuya to look at him with narrowed eyes, and his feeling of suspicion grew more and more.

Tatsuya: ...

(Timeskip)

A few days later, Mibu is finally able to be released from the hospital. Tatsuya and Miyuki, along with Akiri were entering the building when they saw Mibu talking with Kirihara.

Miyuki: Isn't that Kirihara?

Akiri: Yeah. Looks like he and Mibu-senpai seem to be getting along quite well

Miyuki: They do look quite intimate, don't they?

Erika: Apparently, Kirihara's been coming every day!

Erika said, suddenly appearing out of nowhere.

Tatsuya: Really? Who knew

Akiri: Yeah, especially considering he was the guy who tried to kill her...

Erika pouted at Tatsuya before taking a few steps forward.

Erika: Darn, there's just no surprising you, is there?

Tatsuya: No, I was surprised. Who knew that Kirihara was so diligent...

Erika: Not that part!

She shouted, turning back toward Tatsuya.

Erika: Hmph! Everything you do and say is so twisted... No wonder Saya dumped you!

She points her finger at Tatsuya and Miyuki blinked.

Miyuki: Erika... Did you say "Saya"? Are you talking about Mibu-senpai?

Erika: Sure, that's who

Tatsuya: You've gotten really chummy, then

Erika: Leave it to me!

She said, wagging her finger in Tatsuya's face, Tatsuya just sighed before approaching Mibu.

Tatsuya: Mibu-senpai

She lifts her head towards his direction.

Mibu: Shiba-kun!

As they were walking, Akiri noticed a man wearing a brown coat with a military haircut who turns towards them at Mibu's shout.

Miyuki: Congratulations on being discharged

Miyuki said, as she handed Mibu a bouquet of flowers.

Mibu: Thanks

Erika: Really, Saya! You don't know how worried we were about you!

Akiri then saw the brown coated man approaching them, specifically, towards Tatsuya.

Man: Are you Shiba? My name is Mibu Yuzo. I'm Sayaka's father. Do you have a minute?

Tatsuya: Yes, sir

The others watched as Tatsuya walked off with the mysterious man and had a private discussion on the far side of the room. Akiri stood with Erika and Miyuki as Erika continued to have a friendly talk with Mibu.

Tatsuya then rejoined the group a few moments later.

Mibu: Shiba-kun. What were you talking about with my dad?

Tatsuya: Someone who once looked after me is a friend of your father's. We were talking about him

Mibu: Oh, really?

Tatsuya: Yes, it certainly is a small world, isn't it?

Erika: So, you two do have a strong connection then! Hey, Saya. Why did you jump ship from Tatsuya to Kirihara?

Erika asked with her hands behind her back,
causing both Mibu and Kirihara to blush.

Erika: You were in love with Tatsuya, right?

Mibu: H-hey, come on Eri!

Erika: If it's just a matter of looks, I think Tatsuya wins, you know. Akiri comes in close second

She winks playfully at Akiri and he just rolled his eyes.

Akiri: Gee, thanks

Kirihara: You're just beyond rude, aren't you?

Kirihara said, clenching his fist at her.

She then placed a hand on his shoulder and whispered to him.

Erika: Kirihara-senpai. When it comes to men, looks aren't everything

Kirihara: Seriously, I'm gonna make you bawl, damn you!

Erika: Now, now. Anyway, Saya, was his diligence the clincher for you? Like, did you get all weak-kneed over the gentleness of an awkward guy?

Mibu held the flowers that Miyuki gave her close to her face to hide her massive blush.

Mibu: Yes... Just like you said, Eri, I think I was in love with Shiba...

Kirihara: Eh?

Mibu: Because he has something I admire... an unwavering strength. But even as I felt admiration, I think I was also afraid

She said before looking at Tatsuya.

Mibu: No matter how hard I ran after him, I could never, ever catch up to Shiba

Miyuki looked down at those words.

Mibu: I could never become strong like him... But Kirihara... Even though we fought sometimes, I thought that he was someone who would walk at the same pace as me

She then faced Kirihara.

Mibu: I guess that's why

This caused Kirihara to blush and awkwardly rub the back of his neck.

Erika: Right, thank you very much!

Erika then looked at Kirihara and took a step forward, rubbing her hands together.

Erika: So, what about you, Kirihara? How long have you been in love with Saya?

Kirihara: Man, give it a rest, will you? Who cares about that stuff? It's none of your business

Tatsuya: He's right, Erika. It doesn't matter how long it's been

Tatsuya said, joining in on the conversation and everyone's attention was shifted to him.

Tatsuya: The important thing is that Kirihara is seriously smitten with Mibu-senpai

Kirihara: What the...! Hey, you!

Erika: Oh, yeah?

Tatsuya: I can't go into detail on privacy grounds, but... When I saw the gallant figure Kirihara cut, facing Blanche's leader, as a man, I knew that I was no match for him

Erika placed a hand on Tatsuya's shoulder.

Erika: Hey, Tatsuya...

Tatsuya: What is it?

Erika pulled him over close to her.

Erika: Tell me in secret later, okay?

She sent a knowing look at Kirihara as she had purposely spoken loud enough for everyone to hear.

Kirihara: Chiba... Why, you...! That goes for you, too, Shiba! If you talk, I'll make you pay!

Tatsuya: I won't breathe a word

Erika: Come on! What does it matter?

Kirihara: You skank!

Kirihara said as he made to grab Erika, she dodged and began to run away as he chases after her.

Kirihara: Of course, it matters! Come back here!

Akiri just chuckled as he quietly watches them messing around, being carefree, with his arms crossed.

Akiri: (thoughts) It must be nice... To have a normal life...

He let out a sigh before silently walking away without telling anyone, and he exited the hospital.

He asked as Tatsuya emerges from the shadows. The two are currently alone in an abandoned warehouse, in the middle of the night.

Akiri had received an anonymous message earlier, telling him to go there alone. He had already suspected that it was Tatsuya.

Tatsuya: Who exactly are you, Akiri Amatsuki? If that is even your real name. What are you hiding from us?

Akiri: And why does it matter? All I could assure you, is that you and your sister are not a target

Tatsuya: Target?

Akiri: I'm on a hunt. I enrolled to the school so that I could become stronger. So that I could finally bring them down...

Tatsuya: Why should I trust you?

Akiri: Because we are the same

Tatsuya: What do you mean?

Akiri: I'm not the only one keeping secrets, am I?

Tatsuya flinched for a split second, caught off guard. He looked like he really didn't expect Akiri to know that he is hiding something himself.

Akiri: Come on. Why don't we get along? I'll respect your privacy, you'll respect mine. I promise you that whatever secret I'm keeping doesn't involve you, your sister, or anyone in the school

He said as he held out a hand towards Tatsuya and Tatsuya looked at it with narrowed eyes.

Tatsuya: Very well. But if I ever sense any hostile intent towards my sister, I'll-

Akiri: You'll do anything to protect her, correct?

Tatsuya nodded before accepting Akiri's hand and giving it a firm shake.

Akiri then turned around and started to walk away, but he then stopped and turned around after taking only a few steps.

Akiri: You know... you and I are not much different, Tatsuya

Tatsuya: How?
