Having a long and hectic day Manik finally closed his devices and leans back into his chair. His eyes glances at the clock and a groan escaped from his mouth as he realised how late he had been sitting his cabin and engrossed with his office work.

He took a deep sigh then glance at his phone that was kept beside him. He straightened himself and rubbing his temples picks his phone up and looks at messages from his wife. He opens the message and read it through that was sent an hour ago.

Nandini: hello Mani. I am not sure how late you will receive my message but I will be working till late. Please go home and rest. I will come myself home once I have completed my shift. Avni is also working with me till late. I will be fine. You don't worry. Have your dinner before going to bed. Bye I love you Mani. I also miss you a lot.

His lips curves into a beautiful smile when he read the messages and felt content seeing her concern. He thought of calling her but stopped himself because he knows she wouldn't have her phone on her.

He sighs and thought of heading to hospital. He doesn't want to her to drive home alone at night. He is very protective towards her. He knows she will be safe but he won't get relaxed till he sees her.

He also glad to know she wasn't only the one who was working till late. He was happy and less worried about her because he knows Avni is there to look after her. Both sisters have each other backs.

It's been a month since Avni has joined the hospital working with Nandini. For Nandini it was like a dream coming to see her sister perusing her dream and seeing how much she has progress she had achieved made her so proud and blessed.

Meanwhile on other hand Avni looked so enthusiastic to learn and experience new things in the field of her work. She was supported by her colleagues and mostly Nandini was her moral support. She felt so proud having her sister beside her. She could fight any battle having Nandini with her. In between she had been taking a training.

Manik's thought was broken by his phone ring. He looks at the caller id and thought now his mother won't leave till he receives her full scolding.

He took a deep breath and answered the phone knowing how to handle his mother.

Manik: hello mom. I am on my way. I just lost the track of time. I have to pick Nandini up too.

Neyoinka : I really don't know what to do with you Manik. When you will understand and leave this habit of yours working till late night? I don't know how Nandini handles you. If were then I wouldn't have let you enter inside the house.

Manik : mom! I'm sorry. Please forgive me. I won't repeat it again. Can you stop provoking my wife against me? You are creating distance between us?

Neyonika : am I creating distance between you two? When was the last I had seen my daughter smiling?when was the last you had taken her out? What do you think I don't know anything? I am watching. I am so tempted to kill you Manik.

Manik : mom! How can you kill me? Am I not your son? Do you not love me enough? You forget me soon as you found a daughter. This isn't fair.

Neyoinka : everything is fair in love and war Manik. Now stop whinging like a child and wasting time and come. Drive safely. I don't want you rushing back to home.

Manik nodded his head and ending the call stood up and packed his stuff. He took his blazer and holding it he took his phone and held it in his hand and walks out of his cabin. Everyone had already left the office. It was just him working till late night.

He gave a nod to security to lock up as he made to his car and unlocking his car sat inside and fastening his seatbelt started the engine and drove away.

Nandini was worn after seeing patients all day. She hardly took a break. It's almost 11pm and she hadn't sit down. Her body was aching due to standing all day. She looks the clock and puts her head down for a second only to lift up after hearing a voice.

She looks up and found a nurse there. She sits up and looks at her with a soft smile.

Nandini : is there any emergency? You okay?

Nurses: yes ma'am! No there is no emergency. You should go home. It must be tiring for you since morning. Even Avni ma'am is heading home now.

Nandini : you are right. I should go home now. Please call me if there is any emergency.

The nurse nodded and left from there whereas she took a deep breath and picking her stuff moves out of her head and walks though corridor looking for Avni when she heard her voice itself.

She turns around and looks at her sister who looked exhausted but there was still a smile on her face.

Avni : hello di! How was your day? Did you eat something? I came to your cabin during lunch but I was told you are in operation room. After that I didn't get chance to see you because I got busy.

Nandini : hello Avni. My day was okay but hectic. How was your day? Yeah, I had something to eat. It's alright. I can understand you must be busy. Now leave all these let's go home. I will drop you.

Avni : Di. You don't need to bother yourself. You look very tired. You should go home and sleep. I will drive myself back home. You don't worry. I'll be fine.

Nandini: come on! I will drop you. I don't want to hear anything from you. Now let's go.

Avni nodded her head and follows Nandini knowing she wasn't going to win against her. They both starts walking towards the exits while catching up.

Avni's eyes caught Manik's attention who stood there leaning against his car and doing something on his phone. She smiles and looks at her who didn't even noticed his presence. She shook her head and waves her hand at Manik when she noticed him waving at them.

Nandini stops talking and follows Avni's gaze and got surprised seeing her husband there. Her tiredness faded away seeing him. She wanted to run and hug him so badly and she literally did what she wanted to do. She smiles and run towards him.

He chuckles and opens his arm out for her who jumped into his arms and starts whispering few things to him which was audible to him.

He starts to caress her hair gently and dropped kisses on her head. He felt so good hugging his wife after a long day. This is what he wanted to do. Finally he was at peace and the peace resides with her. He broke the hug and cups her face.

He looks at her while stroking her face softly and leans forward kissing her forehead.

Manik : I missed you so much. I'm sorry love. I didn't see your messages earlier. How was your day? You look drained out. Did you eat anything?

Nandini looks at him and hugs him again. He didn't mind hugging her because he could hug for hours. He kissed her head and looks at Avni who was stood there admiring them. He smiles at her.

Nandini : I missed you too Mani. It's okay. I know you would be busy. I had a bite to eat.

Manik broke the hug and cupping her face looks at her holding his anger back because he hates when she is careless about her health.

Manik : what did you eat? When was the last meal you had love? Please tell me.

Nandini : I was so busy and didn't get much time to eat but I had sandwiches from canteen.

Manik : I really don't know what to do with you. Mom was scolding me for my meals but she never scolds for doing the same. She is so partial with me.

Nandini : mani. Please. I have no strength to your taunts. I want to home and sleep hugging you.

His heart just melted there and looks at her. He nodded his head and gestures Avni to come in. He opens the door Avni and gestures her go get in. She smiles and mumbling a thank comfortable sat at the back.

He then opens door for his wife and lifting her up made her sit then putting her seatbelt closed the door moving to driver side and opening the door settles himself down and looks at them.

Manik : hello Avni! Do you want me to drop you home or shall I take you to our house?

Avni : hello jiju. Finally you noticed me. I would love to go home with you guys but I don't to worry Amma. Can you please drop me to Murthy's mansion?

Manik : of course I will drop you home. Do you want to eat anything? I can stop and grab something to eat. I don't think you even had anything to eat.

Avni : no jiju. I don't feel like eating. I also want to go home and sleep.

He nodded his head and glancing at his Nandini who dozed up. He then drove away.

In London, Malthora industrial.

Ending his last meeting of the day Neil walks to his cabin and picks his phone and thought of calling Avni but stopped recalling their morning conversation. He sighs and opening his galley looks at her photo. He caressed her photo while adoring her.

Neil : I miss you so much Avni. I wish I never came returned back. Now I regret not listening to me.

He brought his phone closer and kissed the photo. He looks at the time and seeing the time he sighs knowing he won't get talk to her today because she will be still working in hospital.

Over the month they haven't missed a day where they don't talk to each other. It doesn't matter how late it is but they both have priorities to call each other in the morning or afternoon or night whenever they can get time for themselves.

Only they both know how difficult it is to main their long distance relationship. Some days they both feel like crying their heart and leave their work and just rush back to each and hug finding a peace,

He looked so lost in his thoughts that didn't noticed when Ava walks into his cabin and smirks looking at him. She went and stood behind his chair and lowering herself she screamed in his ear making him startled who wasn't expecting this.

Neil : what the heck Ava? Why would come like that and scream in my ear? My ears are ringing now.

Ava burst out of laughing and pulling the chair sat opposite him and looks at him holding her smile back. He sends her a glare but she shrugs her shoulder.

Ava : you looked so funny Neil. In whose thoughts were you lost? You didn't even heard me coming in. Are you missing my sweetheart so much?

Neil :it really doesn't bother in whose thoughts I am lost and you know I could fire you for playing game with me Ava. And isn't she your sweetheart?

Ava :aww are you jealous Mr Malthora? You won't fire because I no longer work in your office.

Neil : why are you here? Did your boyfriend break up with you? Well this was bound to happen.

He smirks and caught a pen that she threw at him. He chuckles and decided to play along.

Neil : aww! It's okay to be heartbroken Ava. You deserve someone better.

Ava : fuck off Neil. I will murder you if you don't stop talking. Nowadays you talk a lot of rubbish. I wonder what has gone into your brain. Anyways why are sitting in office and sulking. Did you forget what we planned today? We are supposed to be a club.

Neil : Ava! I'm sorry but I can't come. You guys go and have fun. I have work to complete.

Ava : I don't care Neil. I won't hear anything from you. You can't back out in last minute. You have to come otherwise I will spill your secrets to Avni.

He rolls his eyes and sighs finally giving a nod making her happy. He looks at her stood and said.

Ava : good boy. I like it. Now meet us in club by 7pm. I and David will be there so I expect you to be there too without getting late.

Neil : okay madam. I'll be there. Now will you please leave so I can complete my work.

Ava : you may! Bye I'm going.

He chuckles and shakes his head when she was out of sight. He looks at his phone and dropped a message to Avni and putting his phone to side decided to complete his work before Ava comes back.
