Green flashed over red.
I went ahead, not paying mind to want was around me.

The collision was quick to the eyes around me, but to me, it was the slowest this possible. My heart pounding in my ears. The glass barrier shattering, sounding as though it was distant.
My head slammed against the window, sending a sticky hot liquid down my face and making it's way into my eyes. I took the strap that held me back and held it for dear life.
I heard the splash of my car driving into the river. Cold water surrounded me as I struggled to get air into my lungs.
My vision was getting blurry from lack of oxygen until I couldn't hold my breath any longer.
Sleep began calling my name, and I welcomed it with open arms, letting go of my last breath.

I could barely hear the wailing sirens around me. Never the less, I opened my eyes, only to find myself sitting in the drivers seat, where I had been recently.
I reluctantly got out. I immediately felt dizzy and fell to the ground holding my head. The pain somewhat subsides and questions started flooding my brain.

I decided to try to talk to someone and walk to a nurse with long brown hair that was held back by a braid.

"Uh, excuse me, Miss?" I said. She didn't respond.
"Um...you see, well, I could really use your-" she walked off before I was able to finish. "Okay then," walked towards the ambulance truck and saw nurses lifting someone on a gurney.

The man had shoulder length brown hair and his skin was unhealthily pail along with blue lips.
I took a closer look, and realized he who he was. It was me. I jumped back, everything coming back to me.

I was driving home. It had been a long day at work and I was not 'in the mood'.

The light changed from green to yellow. 5 seconds. Yellow to red.
15 seconds. Finally, red to green.

I was 15 feet away from the lights when it hit. The car ahead smashed into mine. I wasn't looking.
My car dove into the river. Not taking to long to reach the bottom.
My last air bubbles fleeing from my mouth as I passed out.

I snapped out of my trance and saw a light. It was so welcoming and warm.
I saw my great grandmother smiling down at me. I took the hand she extended to me.

Goodbye world. My time has come for me to leave you behind.
