SB's POV:
Redstone. I. Don't. Understand. It. At. All.

So when I found my self in Shady E's I was confused as to how the armor stands were moving.... I was only inside the shop because I wanted to see what the inside looked like.... and the door also confused me.

That's when someone wearing a mask or a bandanna over their mouth walked in.... they had whiteish hair and one red eye. They greeted me with questions.
"Are you a new hermit? I've never seen you before. What's your name?"
"Uhhh hi I'm not answering that until you tell me your name." I responded.
"I'm Etho"
"Hello Etho, I'm SB. And yeah I guess I am kinda a new hermit. I wasn't really invited to this server I was plopped here by what Xisuma called the protectors what ever that's about."
"So what brings you Shady E's today SB?"
"Oh I was just wondering what the inside looked like. The outside looked cool. But I'm now super confused about moving armor stands and that crazy door."
"Do you not know Redstone!?" He asked shocked.
I shook my head.
"Well we can't have that now can we? Come on change of plans your learning some Redstone." He gestured for me to follow to him.
I hesitated.
"Hopefully by the end of today you will learn some Redstone."
I realized I probably didn't have a way out of this....
"Ok....." I finally spoke again.
"Great! Now follow me." He said walking out of the shop.
I Followed him to a nether portal. Before I stopped, I had never been through a portal....
"Don't Tell me you've never been through a nether portal..." he sighed.

I shook my head again....
"Oh snappers...."
I looked at him confused.
"Ok I guess we're taking the long way then..." he said
"K"
And he took off, and I followed.
We landed in a different jungle than Grian's and all of those people. When we landed I saw the strangest yet most interesting building I've seen so far. It was made of a bunch of different blocks.
As we approached one building a llama just glided by. This has been such a strange day.

"So SB, wat do you already know about Redstone?" He asked
"I know a button can open a door.... that's about it..."
"Oh boy this could take a while."
"Let's start with making a small super smelter.... That should be easy enough to begin with." He added.
"Please tell me you know what a furnace is..." he asked.
"I know what a furnace is. It cooks stuff"
"Then all That needed is some chests and hoppers." He said
"Ok then"
He pulled out a red shulker box, a pulled out some funnel looking things.
"What are those?"
"These are hoppers, wow you know a lot less then I thought you would. How old are you exactly....?" He said
"I'm 15."
"........."

Time skip (brought to you by, SB failing you understand basic Redstone.)
"On second thought ima teach you something a little interesting."
"And what would that be?"
"Note blocks."
"Oh you mean the magic music cubes?"
"Uhhh sure."
"So some basic information about note blocks, the sound they make changes depending on what Block is under it."
"Ok."
"They can be powered by Redstone, let's make a simple loop."
He handed me a couple note blocks and some repeaters I think. He showed me how to place them and I copied it.

"See wasn't that easy?" He asked
"But does it work?" I asked
"Well then let's see press a button next to it."
I placed the button and pressed it.
Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
"......."
"How can some one be this bad at Redstone....... even Grian understands more than this."
"If I'm being honest, I could not tell you for I do not know either."
"I'm not giving up until you at least learn something!"

Time skip (brought to you by, SB still not understanding Redstone)

"Hey Etho, I should really be getting back to Tango's it's getting close to sunset.... but thanks for trying to tech me Redstone, even though I still don't understand it.... but this was fun."
"Alrighty then, but the next time I see you I will teach you something. I am determined to get you to understand at least a little Redstone!" He said in a confused yet determined tone.
"Ok then. I'll see you later." I said taking off back to Tango's.
As I got further away I muttered to my self, "well that was certainly a strange person..."

About 800 words.

Thank you Toasted_Mellows for this idea. I had no clue what I was doing with this, so as with every other part I've written in either book started with an idea and no plan what's so ever and I just typed what brain would produce... anyways I decided I was going to make SB not understand Redstone like at all, for the sole reason I find it amusing.

But for now, Keep swimming my little fishies!
