"I wanna love you for the rest of my life, Amelie." I whispered as I watch her laughing with some random kids we met at the beach.

Amelie is having a lot of fun building sand castles and collecting shells with kids. I figured she loves kids so much and I think we will be able to handle children of our own.

"Have you ever thought about a life without her?"

Matagal bago ako nakasagot sa tanong na 'yon. Jasper with his girlfriend spotted me while I was watching over my girlfriend and decided to join for a chitchat.

"At night. I think about the possibilities. And that is the kind of life... that is not worth living."

"Amelie really is a ball of sunshine. Inosente at... pakiramdam ko ay mabait."

The kindness she has equals the madness I have for this world.

"Hm. Her kindness is what makes me afraid everytime. I don't want her to show kindness to everyone... especially to strangers. This world is too cruel for Amelie."

"This punk is really in love. Man, I never thought you could say things like this." Jasper chuckled. "During high school, you were quite an eye-catcher and head-turner for girls. But I never saw you entertain any of them. And I thought I would never see this side of you. Cheesy and sweet."

Amelie walks towards us with a wide smile. Ang suot niyang sundress ay basa sa ibaba. We did not plan to go swimming. Initial plsn was to sightsee the beauty of the sea.

"Love, this is Jasper, my friend, and his girlfriend."

"Nice to finally meet you, Amelie. Ikaw pala ang kaagawa ko kay Kithian."

Amelie's brows shot up.

"Hi. Huh?"

"He's joking. Are you tired? Wanna go home now?" I gently asked.

Jasper's eyes widened with what I said. Amelie shook her head and sat next to me. She rested her head on my shoulders and closed her eyes.

"Sunset." Amelie yawned as she made herself comfortable next to me.

"Well, we might as well leave you two now."

I nodded and watch them as they walk away. I heard Amelie's little snore and I can't help but to chuckle. Hindi pa pagod pero ang bilis nakatulog.

We've visited a lot of places today. She said the beach would be the great place to end today's date... and to watch the sunset. We're waiting for the sun to set yet she's here, hugging me, snoring cutely.

"I am happier with you, Amelie."

I planted soft kisses on her forehead. I let her rest for some time. Eventually, the sun started to go down and I had no choice but to wake her up.

"The sun's settinng, my love."

She moved a little but did not budge. Inalis ko ang buhok nakatulog tumatabon sa kaniyang mukha. The sky is showing the colors red, orange and yellow together.

"Wake up, my darling. Baka hindi mo na maabutan ang sunset."

Pakiramdam ko hindi siya magigising sa boses ko. The tone of my voice automatically changes when I'm talking to her. My aggressiveness never dare to show up.

Amelie's eyes flickered. When she opened her eyes, she immediately found mine staring at her.

"Look, love love! Look how pretty it is!"

I chuckled. The sky has now turned to purple, red, orange, yellow. The colors are vibrant and the sea is reflecting its color. The large clouds made the sky look more gradiant and pleasing.

I took a lot of photos of Amelie while she's taking photos the view.

"Thank you for making me happy today, Kithian. I love you so much."

Hindi lumingon si Amelie sa akin nang sabihin iyon. When I touched her shoulders, she sniffed and turned to me for a hug.

"I have always asked God to give me a good man and He gave me you."

Everything's blurry but things went clearer when you came. Turns out you're the one I have been waiting.

"I have reserved myself for the man I am going to spend my forever with."

I... too.

"Thank you for giving me peace amidst the chaos." I whispered.

Nang gumabi na ay umuwi na kami. I was reluctant whether to drive her home now or tomorrow. I honestly don't want neither of the two.

"I bought a lot of sweets for you from my Cebu trip. Don't eat it all at once. Remember to always brush your teeth after eating sweets para hindi sumakit ang ngipin mo. I also bought some meds for you because you've mentioned your kit is almost out of stock. And I have some, too, for your parents."

She clapped and nodded cutely.

"Ako rin. Though I've arranged everything in your closet the other night. Those were the things that reminded me of you. 'Yong iba mga souvenir, naka-arrange na rin sa closet mo. Don't be surprised with what you'll see ha?"

Nangunot ang aking noo. I have a couple of cabinets inside my closet that I haven't opened. Bakit ko gagalawin kung wala naman akong gagamitin. Now that she have mentioned this, I might rummage through my things later.

"Why? What did you put there you sly girl?"

"Nothing."

I snatched her waist and held her close. My eyes wandered around her small pretty face. Gahibla nalang ang pagitan ng aming mga mukha at pakiramdam ko ay mahahalikan ko siya ano mang oras.

"B-bakit? Wala naman talaga! Those are just... stuffs."

"Hm... stuffs?" I drew her closer.

She looked both flushed and surprised.

"O-oo nga! Can you let me go now? I'm kinda feeling hot here."

I didn't move an inch. I like it when our body collides like this.

"Ano? Gusto mo ng mag-make out tayo? Go ako."

"Amelie!" I hissed.

She chuckled and encircled her arms around my neck. She's looking so gorgeous while obviously seducing me.

"What? I'm up for it. Make out 'til we're tired."

I sighed heavily and decided to let her go. Amelie frowned and stomped her cutesy feet.

"That's enough. Iuuwi na kita. Baka hinahanap ka na ng mommy mo."

"She would call or text but I haven't recieved one. Bukas ng umaga na."

Umiling ako. I started picking up the things I bought for to bring them all outside where my car is. It's still seven in the evening. Nagpapa-good shot ako kaya ihahatid ko ng maaga.

"I'm making my way to their hearts, love. Magtiis muna tayo sa ganito, alright?"

Niyakap ako nito mula sa likod dahilan para pakawalan ko ang ngiti na kanina pang nakatago. This pretty girl can really make my heart flutter with just simple gestures. Kaunti nalang at masasabi ko ng ako ang babae sa aming dalawa.

"I'm gonna miss your scent tonight. Why don't you sneak in to my room and spend the night there? That would be fun!" she giggled. "And thrilling for sure."

I gently removed her arms around me to face her. Marahang hinalikan ko ang likod ng kaniyang kamay.

"No, I will not do that. Once I'm caught, it's all over for us. And I don't want that."

Sumimangot ito ngunit tumango rin. At exactly seven-thirty, we made our way to their house.

We are having a lot of talks and fun in the car, turning the volume of the song up and down.

"We should do a lot of trips often. I love going on trips with you."

"Of course," I hoarsely said. My voice fresh from singing. "Kung pwede na, isasama kita sa ibang bansa. Let's travel the world while we can."

"I dreamt of that too! Traveling the world with you."

Time seemed to slow as the surroundings blurred into chaotic swirl and loud crash. The smell of smoke filled the air, and I could barely catch my breath. My eyes immediately landed on the person next to me. Amelie.

My sight is starting to blackened but I managed to turn my head to where Amelie is sitting. Her eyes is closed and blood is dripping from her forehead down to her face.

"L-love..." I helplessly called.

There was no response from Amelie. Sinubukan ko ulit ngunit ganoon pa rin. She sat there silent and unmoving. I gasped from the pain coming through my body.

"Ame...lie..."

I managed to unbuckle her seatbelt. I spat blood but did not mind it.

"Wake... up. God. Amelie, wake up."

Love, please. Wake up. Amelie.

Sinubukan kong abutin ang kamay niya. I don't know if she's in fatal condition... or me. What matters the most is for her to wake up.

My heart slowed its beating when Amelie opened her eyes. Slowly but surely.

"Get... out."

More blood came out from my mouth. Wala na akong pakialam. This car is gowing to blow, I want her to get out.

"Get... out. Now."

I can see tears falling down her cheek. I can feel it. Something's stuck inside me. It's in my body.

"Please... please get out. Amelie, p–"

Even I was horrified with the amount of blood I spat. I could only rest my hand on her shoulder as I can no longer see her face.

Right at that moment, the only thing I could think of... is for her to get out safely... even if I couldn't.
