Arshita's Pov

If I put it honestly Shubman was a pretty good dancer.

He wasn't joking when he said that he was ready to beat all of us at 'Just Dance' and right he was doing that only.

And now when everyone was down a few beers Abhishek started teasing Shriya for her dance. "Babyy you need to take dance lessons from me!" he said.

"Shut up I'm a very good dancer" She said and Ayushi started laughing and she looked at her.

"Excume me! You're supposed to be on my side!" Chia said to her and she stopped laughing,"Im sorry mai jhoot ka sath nhi deti" Ayushi said and Shriya huffed.

"Chia mai tera dard smjh skta hu" Manjot said making a face.

"Tum log aise bhi manoge let's have a competition girls vs boys!" Shriya said and everyone agreed and now we were heading to the game room again.

I've been avoiding Kyra most of the time and because I knew that if I would've gone near her she won't be able to look at Shub again.

I've been avoiding Shubman too because I knew I can't have handled myself in front of him. Not only Kyra but the thought that he used his pass again was still irritating me.

It hurted that he was still in love with Manasvi!

I knew I was being ridiculous but what could I've done. I know it's not easy to let go, but I was hurt because he was so fucking confusing.

One moment it felt as if he harboured the same feeling for me but next it looked like I was nothing more that a 'good friend'

Kyra almost lingered around Shubman asking if he wanted more beers or she usually just threw herself over him.

Screw her!

The game was going pretty good and Abhishek and Shubman were the best dancers and from our side it was Ayushi.

I ended up being Manjot's competition and thankfully he was worse than me so I won the round.

"Tune sahi nhi kiya mere sath Arshu" he said making a sad face and I chuckled, "Meri kya galti tu mujhse bhi ganda dancer nikla!" I said and he made a face.

I came back and sat beside Chia and Ayushi turned to me, "You were better than Chia's dead moves" she said laughing and Shriya shot a glare.

"Hum same team me hai shayad!" Chia said and Ayushi just shrugged laughing.

"Mai nhi khelunga yrr itna ganda game!" Mandy said, "Abeyy ganda game and nhi tera dance tha" Nagar said and we started laughing.

"Haa tune toh jaise bhut acha item no. pesh kiya na" Mandy said and Shubman hitted his head, "Abeyy tere baraat wale dance se toh acha hi tha" Shubman said.

"Mandy don't worry hum inlog se badla lenge!" Chia said giving him a high-five.

"Tu hi meri sachi dost hai" Manjot said to her and we chuckled.

"Oyee it's a romantic song" Nagar said and Chia nudged me, "Go dance with Shub!" she said and I shooked my head, "I just had a chance" I said but actually I just wanted to avoid him.

"I'll dance with Shub!" Kyra the fuckabish said getting up and going near him.

Ayushi shot her a deadly glare and said, "Kyra remember what I told—" She was saying when I spoke up, "It's okay! I said," It's just a game"

"You don't need to say—" Shriya was saying when cut her off, "It's really fine" I said.

"It's okay she said it's fine guys. Lay off" Kyra said and I just wanted to kill her and I almost crushed the bottle of water in my hand.

I looked at Shubman but he wasn't even looking at me, the fuckabish was saying something and he was  nodding his head, a small smile crept on his lips.

Ayushi kept a hand on my shoulder bringing me out of thoughts of murdering Krya! "I'm so sorry!" she said and I shooked my head, "Seriously it's not big of a deal!"

I looked at them dancing and I just wanted to separate them and throw her far far away from him but I couldn't do that. And the worse thing was that I couldn't have even showed my jealousy in front of him, unless I wanted him to know about my feeling.

"You okay?" Shriya asked me furrowing her eyebrows and I  forced out a smile, "Yeah I'm am." I said. I should be!

"I really am sorry about Kyra, I told—" Ayushi was saying and I knew she really felt bad, "It's okay yrr, it's just game" I said and rolled my eyes and that's when my eyes landed on them and now it wasn't just a game anymore cuz Kyra pulled Shubman closer for a kiss on the lips.

I looked at them and the bottle of water slipped out of my hands and I just wanted to faint, throw up, or jump off of a big building all at the same time. Everyone looked at them in shock and Ayushi shouted, "KYRA!"

Shubman pushed her away and and Ayushi grabbed Kyra's hand dragging her away from him and then turned to me, "Arshu I'm so sorry —"

"It fine!" I said picking up the bottle from the floor and kept looking down when she again spoke up, "I know I didn't —"

I again cut her off, "IT'S OKAY!" I said and looked at Shubman and I guess he knew what I was going to say because he shooked his head telling me not to do this but I did, "We're not together anymore!" I said.

All of them stared at me in stunned silence. Even Kyra had a shocked look at this statement.

"Arshu" Shubman said slowly raising his hands in a calm down gesture. "I think —"

"In fact" I said deciding to completely ignore him, "We were never really together!"

"Arsh—"

"I need to go to the washroom" I said looking down trying not to cry and when everyone was looking at me, "Shub will explain everything!" I said and walked out of the room.

Shubman called my name but I didn't stopped and through halfway I came to know he was coming after me and the next moment I was yanked back by the crook of my elbow.

"Hum ye sb aise nhi batane wale the!" he said looking at me in disbelief, "What the fuck just happened there?"

"They were apologising for something they didn't even did!" I shouted back at him, "What was I supposed to do?"

"Maybe you should've calm the fuck down and thought over the things again!" he said almost shouting.

"Well I'm sorry to feel guilty about lying to your friends" I spat at him trying hard not to let my tears fall.

He left my hand running then through his hair pissed, "Are you fucking kidding me?" he said, "I feel guilty too"

"Well don't you think maine tum pe favour kiya hai" I said looking in his eyes and he was growing more and more pissed, "Now you can freely 'fool around' with Kyra!" I said.

"Iska usse koi lena dena nhi hai Arshu!" he said taking a step back more pissed and his eyes hardened in anger which I had never seen before.

But I didn't backed down and looked at him, "Now you'll really remember her name!" I said harshly.

"Is that so? Thank you for doing me such a favour!" he said, his cold eyes staring into mine. "Then I'll make sure to enjoy Kyra's company so that your good deed doesn't go in vain!"

Those words hitted me very hard. I stood there for so long time trying to regain my thoughts and all of what just happened while he just walked away without even looking back.

I kept replaying the conversation in my mind wondering where it had gone wrong wishing it never would've happened.

But it did. And the worst part was that I knew I was the one at fault.

What the fuck did I just do?

Before thinking twice I was already running to catch upto him. At that moment I didn't cared. I didn't cared about anything else and I just had to tell him. I had to tell him about these feeling which were ready to burst out for him anytime.

As I reached to the game room, I opened the door with a bang and everyone was sitting there looking like they were having a deep conversation until I startled them.

I looked around the room to find that one missing person I wanted to look for but he wasn't here, I looked around again just to be sure but no luck, "Where is Shub?" I asked panting.

I looked at Shriya and she changed looks with others and then again exchanged a look with Ayushi.

A look that made my heart sink.

A look that wanted me to just burst out.

A look that made me look around the room again just to know that someone else was also missing!

"Where's Shub?" I asked again

"He.. Umm... He went for a walk" Shriya said slowly and the added, "With Kyra!"

I slumped again the room's door running my hand through my hair taking deep breathes trying to calm myself!

Calm down, I told myself, get your shit together!

I looked up and sighed, "I want a beer!" I said.

"Shubman ne bataya what was all it about" Shriya said sitting beside me and handing me a bottle of beer.

We all were back in backyard and others were around the barbecue. They all seemed shocked at first and I thought they would hate me, so I was surprised when Shriya pulled me into a tight hug before leaving the game room.

I knew, somehow they all wanted to ask me questions about the whole thing but they kept quite as we made our way to the backyard.

I and Shriya were sitting on the grass a little away from others, "What did he said?" I asked.

"He said that it was all for your ex-boyfriend. Aur ye sb kuch fake tha!" she said and looked done at her bottle, "Before we could say anything else he already grabbed Kyra and wad pulling her out of the room!"

I took a large swig of my beer wishing the sour taste would drown my sorrows!

"He seemed to be pissed off" she said and again spoke when I didn't said anything, "But he also looked hurt"

I slowly looked up at her and said, "We fought!"

"I figured"

Both of us fell silent for sometime. It had been around forty-five minutes since Shubman and Kyra left. I tried hard not to think about it but it was nearly impossible.

"I'm sorry for lying to you" I said turning to Chia and she looked up, "I know maine jo kiya—"

"It's okay!" she said giving me a small smile, "Really"

"But I lied to you. I lied to all of you" I said looking down not able to look in her eyes.

She kept her hand on my shoulder and her look was kind of assuring and soothing, and she said, "Maybe you lied about being together. But I know you like him. You like him for real!"

I opened my mouth to deny it but by the look on her face I knew I couldn't lie to her about this. So I just finally asked her, "Can you tell me what happened with him and Manasvi!"

My question was met with silence.

She stared at me for a moment and a part of me hoped that she would tell me but the other big part was afraid to what happened. I was scared to know the possibility of something that might keep Shubman holding onto her.

Something that would keep Shubman from even being mine!

"Please" I spoke up, "How did they broke up" I asked.

She averted her head towards me and said almost in a whisper "They didn't"

My mind went black. I looked at her trying to make sense of what she just said.

"What?" I asked not able to think of anything.

"That's the problem!" she said and lifted her eyes towards me, "Shub and Manasvi never broke up!"
