"I never craved attention, until I tasted yours"

Arshita's Pov

So it's Friday and never had I thought that I would be helping to organize a party but here I was sitting in Shubman's car watching him as he carried a big speaker in his shoulder and came and kept it in the car.

I never actually offered to help for the party, but was tagged along whether I liked it or not.

And the truth was that I did like it.

Its been three days since I got to know about this surprise party thing, which Abhay planned for Shriya. The hardest part of this was to keep it from Shriya.

As Ayushi and Manjot were really bad at keeping things, bcoz whenever Shriya mentioned anything about her bday, they both get tensed up and started doing weird things which makes her suspicious.

Sure enough I broke the promise which I did to myself of being away from them, it was too difficult for me as it was really nice spending time with them. Their laughter was contagious, I was looking forward to spent more time with them.

I had been noticing Shriya and Abhishek, their interactions, they are so cute that one can not ignore them. They can have a full conversation just through eyes, sometimes they said something which only they could understand; an inside joke, they irritated each other a lot.

They made a good couple.

Abhishek had been panicking since morning, as he was so worried about everything not going according to the plan, he was worried over the littlest thing.

And Shubman surisingly dealed very well with a panicked Abhay.
"No this is not good, nothing is going alright" Abhay was mumbling in the third period and was really tensed.

And surprisingly Shubman was handling him really well telling him, it's alright; everything will be fine; we'll do it; don't worry about and all those again and again.

And Abhay was also used to become calmed by him only, 'best friend thing' ❤️

Shubman came back with many bags in his hands and kept them in the car settling himself in the driver's seat. "Did Abhay texted again?" he asked.

I laughed and shook my head because Abhay had been texting us every minute to ask if everything was going good or not.

"Yaa toh Sala bilkul relaxed hoga ya phir tension me idhr idh daud rha hoga" Shubman said chuckling.

"Tension me bhi I guess vo text krna nhi bhulega" I said.

He laughed, "Actually you're right" he replied grinning.

Now we were supposed to take cake, some refreshments etc, and then we also had to go and pivk up dresses for me and Shriya. Abhay had caleed us atleast 'twenty to thirty times' for enquiring everything and he said "Bring a black dress for her pls, she loves black"

We took everything we were supposed to and then went to a mall for our dresses. We started searching for the best dress and after like half an hour we both turned with a dress in our hand each and said together.

"For shriya" I said, "For you" he said at the same time we showed the dresses to each other.

"Nice" we again said together looking at the dresses in each other's hands and then we laughed.

"So this is it for Chia" he said taking the dress from my hand and handing me the one he was holding, "Now go and try this" he pushed me to the trial room.

I went in and tried the dress and it fitted me really well and the color also suited me, "It's really beautiful, not bad Mr Gill" I thought while looking ar myself in the mirror. I came out and showed him and he looked at me in awe and then slung his arm around my neck.

"Not bad Shub, good choice" he said praising himself.

"Ho gya?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

"Haa, vo meri girlfriend sbse achi lgni chaiye na" He said and I heated up blushing, my cheeks turned red and I ran inside the trial room.

"Sharma gyi kya?" he shouted from behind laughing.

"I'm not your girlfriend!" I shouted from inside the trial room.

After two hours we all were gathered at Nagar's house for the party to start. Everything was set and we were waiting for Ayushi to bring Shriya with her, they were on there way.

As soon as I had entered the garden after getting ready, Shubman looked at me and then came near me smirking, really close and whispered in my ear, "Aaj mujhe apni choice prr naaz hai, you're looking fantastic" he said.

ARSHITA

We were really close and it sent shivers down my spine and I was blushing really hard. Abhay called my name I took it as an opportunity to run away from Shubman.

"They're here" Abhay said and there Ayushi and Shriya entered and a blindfold was tied around her eyes. "She's looking beautiful, kahi mai behosh na ho jau" he said looking at her.

SHRIYA

"Go to her, idiot" I said and pushed him forward.

Abhay ran upto her and held her hand and bought her in the middle. He opened her blindfold and we plopped the party bombers on her shouting "HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHIA"

She looked at all of us shocked for like a minute and then cried out of happiness shouting "Thnq so much, I love you guys so fuckin much"

Shubman pushed her towards Abhay and told it was all his idea and Manjot shouted "Meri taraf se haa hai" and everyone laughed.

Abhay was blushing and stood in front of her rubbing back if his neck. "Ab bol bhi de ya kl bolega" Nagar shouted.

"Chia Haapy birthday, you're looking gorgeous today" he said sheepishly.

"Thanku so much Abhay" she said and engulfed him in a hug and as soon as she broke the hug, Abhay sat down on one knee "Chia if I could give you one thing in my life, I would give you the ability to see yourself through my eyes, only then would you realize how special you are to me" he said grinning.

Shriya was looking at him in shock "Mai isse jyada nhi bol paunga, kyuki mai sb bhul gya hu, but I want to say I love you Chia, soo will you be my girlfriend" he said chuckling.

Shriya looked at him, she was speechless and when she didn't responded "Please naa mt kehna" Abhay said with puppy eyes.

"I love too idiot, and yess I'll be your girlfriend happily" She said and Abhay got up holding her hand.

"Pta hai kbse wait krri thi ki tu mujhe propose kre" Shriya said hitting his shoulder. "Areyy toh tum bol deti" Abhay said grinning.

"Mai kyu bolu, ladkiya propose nhi krti" Shriya said laughing.

"Acha lado nhi ab ho gya na, khush raho" Manjot said and pushed them towards each other, Abhay held Shriya from her waist and kissed her.

Everyone started hooting and shouting for them. After that Shriya came and hugged everyone thanking them. She came to me and gave me a bone crushing hug and said "Thanku so much"

"It was nothing" I replied, "It was all Abhay really"

"I'm not thanking you for just this" she said, "I'm really happy that Shub found someone like you, he looks really happy" she said grinning.

"Do you think he's happy?" I asked looking to where Shubman was standing and laughing with some of his friends.

Vo dekho, that wide and real smile on his face, I hadn't seen this since Manasvi" She said.

I looked at her and I felt a tinge at my heart.

Before I could ask her more, she was taken away by some of her friends and I lost her in the crowd.

Who is Manasvi? Maybe she's the one who broke Shubman's heart! Who else could it be?

I thought about what Shriya said about Shubman being happy when he was with Manasvi. And then about what she said about him being happy earlier. Was he really happy after we started this thing?

I was seated in a corner of the garden and I was staring at Shubman as he was talking and laughing with his friends. He was laughing his heart out and it really looked genuine. As if he sensed me watching him, he suddenly looked at me still grinning.

I didn't looked away and kept looking at him, before I could react he already stood up and came and sat beside me. "Tum yaha akeli? Enjoy kyu nhi krri?" he asked.

"Tumhe kyu lgra hai ki mai enjoy nhi krri?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

He looked at my face for a second and then replied "You don't actually look happy" he said.

"Are you?" I asked looking in his eyes.

"What?" he asked confused.

"Happy!" I asked. He looked at me for a second and then smiled saying "Yeah, I am"

"Really?" I asked. "Yeah, really" he replied, this time with a more big grin showing his dimples.

I looked away for a second and my landed on the most unexpected thing ever.

I froze.

"What's wrong?" Shubman asked and followed my gaze when mine was still staring at Siddharth talking to some friends and enjoying the party. "What the hell is he doing here"

I didn't gave any reply and kept staring at him, that's when Shubman stood up and turned to me offering me his hand. "CHALO" He said.

I looked up at him confused and asked "KAHA?"

"Iss gadhe ko show dikhane ka time aa gya hai" He said.

"Mtlb" I asked.

"Ready to take our fake relationship to a next level, Arora" He asked raising an eyebrow.

I didn't know what did he mean by taking our relationship to next level, but I didn't know what came to me and I took his hand and he took me to the bar from the side where Siddharth and his friends were standing.

Siddharth was shocked to see me and Shubman walking hand in hand. We came stopped at the bar and Shubman spoke up "Kisine galti se use invite krdia hoga" he said and I was looking down cursing myself because seeing him here was affecting me so much when I shouldn't even care about him.

"What's better to make him leave than to piss him off" Shubman said and I looked at him "So I was thinking about—"

"Kiss here?" I asked.

He smirked, "Correct"

Before I could say anything his hands were already in my waist and looked up at him not able to meet his gaze "Promise kro ki kiss krne ke Baad tum mujhe marogi nhi" He said.

"Kuch pakka nhi hai" I said and he laughed a little and leaned in pecked on my lips for which stayed just for a second.

He pulled away and looked at me and said "I don't know why I'm nervous"

"Me too" I said and this time I was the one who leaned in for a kiss and kept my hands behind his neck. I closed my eyes and the kiss became deeper and I don't know why but it was affecting me too much, it was having a great impact on me.

We pulled after some minutes, both short of breathe and he said something which I didn't heard because of all the noises so he repeated. "I said" he repeated "We created a scene"

That's when I looked around and found everyone hooting and clapping for us. I was blushing and hard and my cheeks heated up and became red.

"Abeyy sale" Manjot came forward and shouted "You're so lost" he said.

Shubman laughed a little and looked back at me with a small smile "Yess" he said shaking his head "I am"

It was three by now and everyone left and now we were to clean all the mess which was created. I was picking the glasses when Shriya came to me and asked "Toh ab tu aur Shub relationship me ho na?"

I gave her an awkward smile and said "I guess"

"I was really worried for Shub" she said and I looked at stopping the work. "Worried?" I asked.

"Yess, jb bhi koi ladki uske paas aati thi, he used to mess up, but ab  I'm really happy for him" she said with a huge grin.

I blushed a little and asked "Are you convinced because of the kiss?"

"Maybe that" she replies smiling "And that"

"And what" I asked.

"It's written all over your face darling" She said grinning.

I was trying to avoid Shubman since we kissed, like sometimes sticking with Ayushi amd Shriya or sometime with busy in cleaning.

But now when my phone was continuously ringing and I was ignoring, Shubman came and sat beside me as by now Ayushi, Manjot and Nagar were sleeping on the living room and Abhay and Shriya went for a walk so we were alone.

"Aren't you going to answer it" He asked looking at my phone.

"Nah" I replied.

It was my mom.

"Just tell her you're fine" He insisted.

"Drop it" I said looking at him "Please"

"Okay" he replied. I was really exhausted and felt tired and I was trying to fight sleep, my eyelids were becoming heavy.

"Heyy, come here" Shubman said patting his shoulder and kept my head on it and he kept his arm around my shoulders.

"Do you want to me to drop you home?" he asked me.

"Home?" I asked lazily.

"Isko mai naa smjhunga" He said laughing a little and I smiled.

"You know Shriya aur Ayushi mujhe dhamka rahi thi ki ab tum meri girlfriend ho toh mai kuch ulta seedha nhi kru" he said.

I smiled and replied, "You're lucky to have them"

"Well, they think I'm lucky to have you" He said and then smirked adding, "Waise lucky toh tum ho tumhe itna acha ldka mila hai"

You're such a narcissist" I said making faces.

"Acha what about my kisses?" he asked smirking.

I blushed and was already sleepy but I protested "Shut up"

"You shut up, I know you enjoyed it" he said grinning.

"I did not" I said.

"You did. You did aur pata hai ye mujhe kaise pta?" he asked and when I didn't said anything he said "Because you didn't opened your eyes to see if Siddharth was watching"
