Until Eternity

"Your majesty, Queen Celestine just arrived from her walk outside the palace," my butler informed me.

Celestine. For me, she is the most beautiful fairy that the Gods have ever crafted. With her long and wavy brown hair that compliments her smooth and milky white skin. Her mesmerizing pair of eyes, well-defined nose and those pinkish lips that suits her white-colored angel-like wings.

I was brought back to reality when I heard Celestine laugh. I looked at her, intently from a far. I've never heard that kind of laugh from her, -not even in a century that we're together-, it was different. It was just so heartily and pure. Even if it was a delightful music to my ears, I would wish not to hear that again-not again- thinking that I wasn't the reason.

I walked out of the room. I took several deep breaths, hoping that it would help ease this heavy feeling in my mind.

I lifted my shoulders when I saw my sister walking towards me. Her face said it all, she's worried and furious at the same time.

She ordered her guards to let us be alone for a moment. That serves as an invitation for me to talk to her, so I followed her outside the palace.

The beautiful landscape welcomed us, for a sight it was very calming yet the uneasiness that I'm feeling right now did not falter.

"As your younger sister, I am not allowed to show any disrespect and such imprudence, yet I am still going to ask you this..." she paused for effect, and it worked.

"Until how many centuries would you be this crazy in love with that fairy who doesn't love you back not even once?!" Her voice thundered all over the area, of which made me so anxious.

What if Celestine would hear that?

"Thalia, please lower down your voice." I pleaded to her.

"Unbelievable..." she mouthed.

"Theron, you are my older brother. I assume that the gap in our age denotes that you are much capable of using your brain in most situation but now, I think I'm wrong. You don't even have commonsense anymore. So much for that fairy who drove you insane for the past century," she stated while staring blankly at the space in front of us.

"I'm offended, Thalia," I said as I try to make the conversation to feel lightweight.

"You should be, your highness." The way she answered, provoked me.

"She lost her memories, Thalia. That alone explains everything!" I shouted at her.

"I lost my memories?" my heart pounded when my gaze landed to the owner of that voice.

"Celestine..."

"Tell me the truth, Theron!" Celestine demanded me.

For a second, I switched my look to my sister, but she just disappeared out of nowhere. My sister left us. It is just me and Celestine.

I was alarmed when she started crying. No, please don't cry Celestine.

"Celestine, please don't cry..." I begged. "It hurts so much to see you crying..."

I was about to take a step closer to her, but then she stopped me.

"Please tell me the truth, Theron." She said between her sobs.

I must tell her the truth right now, for I can't bear anymore the pain that I'm feeling, while witnessing her crying in front of me.

"Celestine, you lost your memory right after our wedding... Someone wash your memories away. You forgot about me, our marriage, and our love for each other. I tried consulting all of the sorcerers in our kingdom, there was one that was able to restore your memories about yourself and our marriage but there was one thing that has not been restored... and that's your love for me, Celestine." I just knew that the tears that I've been trying to hold back, was starting to fall.

My heart skipped a beat when she enveloped her arms around me. I was way beyond shocked and happy.

"I'm s-sorry, Theron."

"You shouldn't be."

"My memories... there were fragments of it... that I could still recognize... but I didn't trust myself to rely on those... I-m sorry, Theron..."

"Everytime that I would look at you, there's always this kind of spark. I knew that we had a deep connection way back... up until now. I'm sorry for making you wait for a century, Theron. Please forgive me."

I couldn't explain of what I'm feeling right now. But I know it feels right to feel this way.

"You didn't do anything wrong..."

"Just like I promised in the presence of the Gods in our wedding Celestine, I will keep our love burning up until eternity..."

We looked into each other's eye, examining our souls. Then, I claimed her lips.

I will never let you forget again, Celestine.
