My girl, interesing yet sexy.

Thursday October 27, 14:45

"Remind me why we're here? Again? For the 6th time?" He asked me, rolling up his sleeves to his elbows, then picked up his club sandwich.

"Because I was hungry and I wanted to see Ricky."

"Ricky?" He paused before taking a bite of his sandwich, voice holding a hint of seriousness in it I found to be somewhat humorous.

"Yes, Ricky.  Pretty Ricky? The kitten that I play with everytime we come? The one on my lap right now?"

"Woah woah woah." He interjected, mouth full of food. "I don't know why you're acting like I'm supposed to just know. When did you give it a name?"

"Him." I corrected, Caressing the fur of said kitten in my lap and using the other hand to sip the soup from my spoon.

"When did you give Him a name?"

"Last time we were here. You don't remember? Wow, So you don't pay attention to anything I do, I see? That's crazy, jungkook."

"Chill out with all that." Sucking his teeth, he dropped his sandwich on the plate and rolled his eyes like a teenage boy. I laughed at his annoyance, knowing that the comment would affect him.

"I'm joking. I'm joking. I know you pay attention to me."

"You think you're so funny." He side-eyed me, picking his sandwich back up and taking a bite.

"I am funny." I said, matter of factly.

"Yeah whatever. Eat your soup."

Once my laughter settled down and a comfortable silence settled between us as I continued to stroke Ricky's thick fur. You could tell his winter coat was coming in.

It was the middle of October and was getting colder outside. The leaves or the trees had already started their seasonal transition and we were getting less sunlight as the days went by. Temperatures dropped with the cool breeze that blew in and the smell of autumn was in the air.

As Jungkook sat across from me, devouring his punk ass club sandwich that he just had to have cut diagonally, I took the time to appreciate his appearance. His hair was pulled back, tied in a messy man bun, and allowed the few strands in the front to sit on the sides of his forehead. He chose to wear a retro black Jurassic park crew neck sweater that fit his body somewhat loosely and a small gold chain that  dangled where his collar bones reside. When my eyes traveled down to the leg that hazardously sat out from under the table, I took notice of his blue wash Levi 501s paired with black and white Nike dunks.

He looked away  in thought, his temple flexing as he chewed, and I had full access to his side profile. As I watched His defined jawline move rhythmically, I felt heat rushing to my face and pooling between my thighs. The movement was similar to last night, except it wasn't a wack ass club sandwich he was munching on.

"Why are you checking me out?" His voice snapped me from my thoughts.

"I'm not." I snapped, "I was looking at your clothes. You look nice today."

"So you didn't know what I was wearing Even Though we left the house together?"

"I can't look at you?"

He leaned back in his seat smugly. "I mean you can."

soon as I was about to reply, heavy footsteps and the smell of the most obnoxiously sweet perfume went by my nose. When I looked up the same waitress that always makes a point to Waltz her ass over to our table and never bat an eye in my direction was standing before me.

"Do you guys need anything?" She cut in.

"Nah, I'm good. Need anything, baby?" He asked, moistening his lips.

His eyes were on me, shifting between my eyes as if he was grounding me in my spot. His voice was as smooth as whip butter, internally bringing me to my knees and enough to get his little groupie off his nuts. Her signature stank attitude made an appearance again as she watched Jungkook stare dreamily.

"Actually, Yes." I said, now holding Ricky close to my nose and speaking as if I was talking to him. "I'll take some Ritz crackers for my soup and another coffee. Thanks."

Defeated, she forced a smile and spoke through a clenched jaw. "Of course. Let me get that for you."

She turned on her heels, whipping her hair around her shoulder which was another signature, and made her way back into the kitchen to retrieve refreshments. Jungkook on the other hand, just chuckled amusedly and shook his head as I cooed at the kitten in my arms.

"What?" I questioned, giving him little boops on his cute little nose.

"I don't know why you don't ask for another waitress. You know she's always on bullshit."

"Why don't you?"

"I asked first." He crossed his arms and leaned forward on the table, letting his chain dangle as he slouched.

"Because I'm optimistic."

"Psh. How?"

"Maybe one day she'll actually be cool." I shrugged.

"So we're going to be coming here more often then?"

"Well... yeah.  How else am I going to see this cute little face"  I held the cat before him, using a baby voice and its face centimeters from mine. "Look at him."

"Why don't you just adopt him?" He suggested, resuming his oral assault on his sandwich.

Although it was merely love at first sight, I've never actually considered adopting him. It would be nice to have more companionship, especially around the house, but I was unsure whether I could mentally or financially handle having a pet right now.

"I don't know."

"What do you mean?"

"I don't think I—"  The sound of my coffee mug carelessly hitting the table made him short.

"Your coffee."

That damn sickenly sweet perfume.

The mug was set down so hard its contents nearly spilled everywhere. I glanced at the side of her face as she moved away from the table and twisted my face in annoyance. She was doing way too much now and I've had enough.

I opened my mouth to speak my mind, but Jungkook beat me to it with a tone he's never used with me.

"Listen, I don't know what the fuck you got going on, and I don't really care forreal, but if you act carelessly like that again, we're gonna have a problem."

One of his brows was raised and his jaw was clenched. He pierced through her as he looked her up and down, probably cursing her even worse in his head. It was the first time I've seen him genuinely upset with someone, and I was damn near as stunned as she was.

She stood there dumbfounded beneath his cold gaze, shocked that he checked her ugliness when she should've checked it at the door. I don't know what reaction expected from him but this one was well deserved. It never made sense for her to be so tactless for praise that wasn't even given from the start.

"You need to calm yo' ass down." He continued, reaching for the napkins and cleaning up the little bit that did spill. "All this is uncalled for."

Immediately switching up, she reached for the rag on her hip and attempted to clean it up, but retracted her hand when he scowled in her direction. Her cold and hard exterior had been thrown completely out the window when she was scared into submission.

Tossing the napkins to the side, he took a breath to calm his nerves. "Since you wanna be childish, can you bring us a new one and apologize to my girl?"

swiftly, I turned my attention to his face, taken aback by the newly profound label.  I didn't even acknowledge her apology that resembled one of a grade school child. It was weak anyway and I was more focused on jungkook.

"I'll get another."  She mumbled, keeping her eyes low.

"No need." I assured, tired of her attitude and her presence.  When she walked off not even the scent of her perfume in the air pulled my attention from him.

"you were saying?" Brows drawn together.

"Hold on, what was that just now?"

"What was What?"

" 'My Girl'" I said, adding some base to my voice, "We go together now?"

He chuckled, flashing a smile that contrasted his iciness moments ago, finding my makeshift male voice humorous. "stoooop""

"I'm your girl?"

"Eat your soup and finish telling what you were going to say. It's probably cold now." He pointed out, trying to evade my question.

Defeated once again, I reached for my spoon and stirred the bowl idly as I searched for the right words.

"Well," I start, "what I was going to say was that I don't know if i'll be able to afford it. Kittens adoption fees are kind of pricey, and I still need to get regular pet care."

"How much?" He asked, taking a sip of his iced tea.

"depending on their age, close to $130."

"You want this cat?"

Glancing down at Ricky sleeping in my Lao, a thin smile that could be mistaken for a pout spread on my lips. "I do, but right now may not—."

"Bet."

Without warning, Jungkook called a different waitress over to our table. She looked younger but friendlier. Her face was round, covered in freckles, framed by brown hair, and had the brightest smile with braces correcting her teeth. She had to be no older than late teens or early 20s, but it didn't matter much. I felt refreshed just from her positive aura and how she actually acknowledged my presence.

"Hey you guys! I hope everything is alright. Are we enjoying our 'Mama Cat's cub-sandwich and broccoli-cheetah soup." She cheered, her green eyes just as inviting as her smile. "My name is Angelica By the way."

"Hi Angelica. We were having issues with our previous waitress and have been for a while. If you could be so kind and bring up the bill and one Togo container, that'd be awesome."

"Oh, Christina? She won't be here any longer, so no worries. Ill be right back with those that bill and your containers— was there anything so you guys needed?"

"Um Yes, my girlfriend would like to adopt this cat, can we start the process?"

"Yes sir, You got it! Give me a few minutes and i'll be right back in a jiffy. You guys hang tight."

"Thanks Angelica."

It was as if I felt the world stop and my heart sank to the pit of my stomach when I heard him address me out loud. My giddiness was nearly spilling out of me as I tried to hide it, and my cheeks were hurting from the blush that was almost impossible to keep at bay. I felt like a teenage girl again getting her crush to admit their feelings and it was a sickening feeling but most relatable.

When Jungkook turned her attention back to me, I could no longer hide the grin that was almost painful. He knew that I was so excited and mirrored my expression as he reached for the leg of my chair and slid it over to his side, cupping my chin and bringing me close for the sweetest forehead kiss. My eyes fluttered closed when his soft lips pecked my skin, and he used his hand to lay my head gently on his shoulder.

By the time the waitress came back, i was too far gone in 'La la land' to recollect anything either one of them said other than "sign here" and "lets go, baby." I raised from my seat when Jungkook did, interlocking my fingers with his, and held my fur baby close to me as he led us out with the rest of our stuff, not forgetting to leave Angelica a nice tip.

*ring ring ring*

"Hello?"

"Bro! What are you doing right now? Like 'right now' right now?"

I raised a brow at his enthusiasm, squinting my eyes in the slightly dark room, trying not to move as both Emily slept on my bare chest.

"Sleep." My voice echoed with rasp.

"You sleep? Man, wake yo' game up. TaeTae's sister is in town and she brought her friend Sahara."

I chuckled softly causing Emily to squirm and adjust herself in my embrace.

"So what yall finna do?" I asked, looking down at her sleeping form and admiring her peaceful face.

"He's putting some meat on the grill. You coming through or what?"

"Tell that man i said he a bitch if he don't."

Tae's voice boomed in the background tauntingly, almost making me laugh out loud. Why i gotta be all that?

"Put me on speaker." I said.

"Ok." I heard shuffling through the speaker for a few seconds and Jimin's voice came through again. "Alright you on."

"First of all. Watch your mouth. second of all, tae, remember that talk we had on our run?" I questioned, hinting at our previous discussion.

"Man, please, its true, and what convo? We talked a lot. I know you are not still constipated?"

"Eugh." Jimin expressed, making no effort to hide his disgust.

"No! Not that talk." I deadpanned "The talk about a special someone.."

"OH! You're talking about the girl that got you sprung."

"Who got him sprung?" Jimin goofy ass asked in the background.

"Ole girl he met on his birthday. The one he left with."

"Whaaat? Are you talking about Alexis's friend?" Jimin questioned. "The pretty one?"

"I don't remember what she looks like, but yeah, her."

"Well ANYway," I cut in. "I'm with her right now. Is it cool if she comes too?"

"Of course!" Tae shouted, guessing he was far away.

"She's more welcomed than you." Jimin played.

"Ha Ha. Very funny. Jimin you don't even know her, so shut up. I'll ask her if she wants to come, and if so, we'll be there in like an hour."

"Ask who?"

Speak of the devil herself.

Her gentle voice caressed my ears, alerting me of her consciousness. When I looked down, Glossed over Honey brown eyes stared into mine full of curiosity, patiently waiting for my response."My brothers invited me over for dinner. They said you can come if you want."

"I don't know, I don't wanna impose." She said reluctantly.

"You won't." I assured her.

She looked away, resting in my arms as she attempted to settle the dispute. "You sure they'd be cool with it?"

"I'm sure, look," I chuckled softly and pulled my phone away from my ear so that I could put it on speaker. "Hear for yourself."

"Of course it's cool! The more the merrier." Tae shouted again from the phone, this time startling the cat that was nestled against the other side of, urging him to get up and wander off.

"If you guys are cool with it, then I'd love to come." She grinned, flashing her deep dimples.

I would be lying if I said my heart didn't flutter at her confession. I couldn't control the  bright smile that formed on my face, so i licked my lips and rolled my lips in attempting to conceal it.

Sitting up completely, I let Emily's body roll off my skin and face plant into the mattress, earning a distressed groan from her. "Give us about an hour to get ready and we'll be there."

"Alright, we'll see you later then."

"Ok. Later." The line went dead and the room was quiet once again. Pressing the button on the side to lock the screen, then tossed my phone to the side not really crying where it landed.  When I turned my head to the right of me, my attention shifted back to the earth-toned rag doll lying on the mattress, exhaling a chuckle through my nose.

"Hey, puddin'?" Her voice muffled against the sheets. The name she addressed me with seemed to be sticking like glue.

"Yes?" I  answered. Tossing my arms out and stretching wide as I exhaled a loud grunt, then peered down at her almost lifeless looking body.

"Will there be a lot of people?" Unsureness heard clearly in her muffled voice.

"Doubt it. It's usually just the three of us, and then Tae's sister and friend are visiting. So  4 excluding me and you. Why, is there something wrong?"

"Um.." Using my hand as a makeshift spatula, I shoved it beneath her stomach and flipped her body over like a burger patty so I can hear her better. Her usual curly hair that flowed down her shoulders stayed still in the roundish puffball if formed from her slumber.

Right side up this time, she blew a few strands of hair out her face and rubbed her sleep out her eyes. She kept her eyes trained on the dark ceiling. "Nothing's necessarily wrong. Just....nervous, i guess?"

Raising a brow, I turned my body toward her and rested a comforting hand on the warm part of her stomach that peaked out of her white tank. "Need a rain check then? We can if you're genuinely not up for it."

"No, no, no. I still want to meet them, I... I think it's just the typical jitters when meeting your partner's family. That's all." she stammered.

"I still wan't you to be comfortable though. You can still meet them—just another time. I now our relationship I still fairly new, so need to show case it so soon. Tae's sister Ju-ri is staying for a couple days and I see their ugly asses all the time, so I could see Ju-ri another day." I joked.

"No, its fine. Really, they're excited to see us."

"You sure, love?" I asked, coaxing her for certainty.

She turned her head to me, the apple of her cheek hidden in her curls as if she was laying on a small bush. Her slender fingers grazed my hand, leaving a trail of warmth as they traced the skin of my arm till it reached my chin where she pulled me down to meet her for a tender kiss.

"Im sure."

My hand continued to caress her skin, as we mirrored each others expressions in understanding. As the candle flame danced behind us, it illumined her face just enough for me to gaze into her pools of honey, that sparkled even in the dimly it room. Her reluctance concerned me no matter how much she tried to hide it with her halfhearted smile. Even if she was good at it. She was both easy to read and a whole Shakespeare novel all in one, and my skepticism made me feel like even more of a hypocrite.

Behind my smile, I was taking more into consideration. I've never thought about how it would be if Emily met them outside of the party, but her saying it out loud made me just as apprehensive. For the first time ever, I was introducing someone to them that I actually wanted to be in my life longer than the typical link. Someone that actually meant something to me, and what made this feeling more unsettling was that eventually her family may have to meet the piece of filth I am.

"I'm pretty sure it'll be over it as soon as we say our 'hellos, anyway, so don't worry." She reassured me with a more believable smile before getting out of bed and standing tall to relax her shoulders. Heading for the bathroom, her hips swayed with more confidence than she had moments ago as if to convince me she would really be fine. So far it was working. In more ways than one.

Pausing in the doorway, her skepticism that was replaced by confidence morphed into none other than seduction.  The room was getting progressively darker, so all was left to illuminate the visual was the singular candle light. The orange-ish hue casted a small amount of Light her figure as she slowly lifted her tank top fro her torso, revealing her boobs as she pulled it over her head.

I sallowed thickly as I watched her toss it to the side, following her eyes and her nipples as she backed away into her bathroom giving me a silent invitation to come join. Immediately choosing to rsvp, I started discarding my clothes on the way to her, and was close to fully naked by the time I reached the bathroom, even though I didn't have much on to begin with.

While we explored the other functions of a shower together, in the back of my mind I couldn't help but think of how peculiar our previous intention was. As I watched the water pour down her back and the suds wash down her desirable body, my preserved erection and piqued curiosity helped me come to a realization: She was as interesting as she was sexy, and us being in an relationship meant there was more to reveal about her.

.......and we were going to be late.
