"Let me rescue you
I can see the truth
I can see right through the pain."
--Rescue You, The Weeknd

Grant opened his eyes, feeling something constricting his mouth and nose. He began to panic, breathing in and out raggedly and considerably fast. He didn't know where he was or what was happening. He only remembered being with Camila and her friends and then passing out. Nothing after that.

"Hey! Grant hey calm down!" Someone exclaimed as he clawed and pulled at the thing on his face. "Grant it's me Camila!"

Grant stopped trying to get the thing off his face and his breathing slowed and evened out. He stared up at Camila wide eyed and she pointed to her face.

"It's an oxygen mask." Camila said.

And that was when Grant realized he was in the back of an ambulance with her and a paramedic. He smiled up at her through the mask and brought his hand up slowly to rest on her face. The ambulance hit a speedbump and Grant grimaced and coughed. Blood spattered the inside of the mask and the machines started beeping at a rapid pace as he began to struggle to breathe.

"There's fluid in his lungs!" The paramedic shouted. "He can't breathe!"

Grant stared at Camila's face, not wanting to look away as he coughed up blood again. He wanted her to be the last thing he saw and he didn't want to be scared. His head began to swim and the inside of the ambulance got really hazy. Grant felt her grab his hand before he passed out.

🕳🕳🕳🕳
The sound of a beeping heart monitor was the first thing Grant became aware of as he slowly woke up. He opened his eyes and found himself staring up at the white ceiling of the plain white hospital room. There was a blood pressure clip on his index finger and a fluid tube in his arm, feeding him fluids.

Grant lifted his head from the pillow enough to glance around the room. There was a tv of course in the corner of the room, hanging from the ceiling, a nightstand that held his phone, a tray that was obviously there for food, a window to his right and a chair on his left side. And in that chair, asleep was Camila. She was holding his hand.

Grant vaguely remembered her grabbing his hand right before he passed out. As gently as he could and without waking her up, he removed his hand from hers to take a look at his re-stitched up stomach. He traced his fingertip lightly along the stitches and took a deep breath. Grant was relieved that he was alive.

Camila stirred and Grant moved his hand to his side once again and stared at her as she opened her eyes and sat up. She grinned when she saw him awake. "You're awake!"

Grant smiled weakly at her. "Yeah. What happened?"

"You're stitches opened up somehow and it turns out that it was a good thing. They missed a piece of rebar that was still inside your stomach."

Grant arched an eyebrow. "Really...well when can I leave?"

"They actually said when you woke up you could." Camila told him. She looked him over and his current attire and laughed. "But not dressed like that."

"What? A hospital gown too casual for ya? It's my second date outfit." Grant said laughing.

Camila playfully smacked his arm. "Yeah right. That's the worst thing you could wear."

Grant pretended to think for a few moments before saying, "Yeah maybe you're right. Perhaps...no clothes on our second date?"

Camila looked at him horrified. "That is soo not happening."

Grant chuckled and sat up when a nurse walked in and began checking him over. As she did she unhooked him from the hospital equipment. Camila had left the room during this time and came back with some clothes for Grant.

After Grant was dressed he and Camila walked out through the front doors and to his car. Apparently Camila drove his car to the hospital for when he woke up.

Grant ended up taking Camila home and she invited him in. He agreed and they did some chilling. They watched a couple movies before Grant decided that he should head home and get some sleep.

"I'll see you tomorrow?" Grant asked.

"Of course." Camila smiled at him and Grant couldn't stop himself from kissing her. It was just a five second kiss and then he pulled away, smiling back at her.

"See you tomorrow then."

Camila
Later that night Camila found herself at a serial killers home with the task of killing him. But the crazy thing was...he was the head of New York's Finest.

However she found that it was easy to take him out. He struggled-- a lot but she still managed to overpower him. Mainly because of the initial surprise effect she had on him. Those seconds that he hesitated basically killed him.

Camila tightened the muffler on the gun she had just bought a couple days ago and pulled the hammer back. She stared him in the eyes and said,

"How many people did you kill?"

Carnie just glared at her and spat blood out his mouth. "Go to hell you bitch."

Camila smirked at him. "Nah that's where you'll be going. See you in the next life."

And she pulled the trigger.

Even later that night or morning Carnie Callaghan's body was found by a concerned co-worker and no one would be able to identify the shooter. The gun had been disposed of properly and no evidence had been left behind.

Carnie Callaghan's murder was a complete mystery.

One that would never be solved.

And Camila was that good.

A/N: Hey guys so what did you think about this chapter?!
