<Rose Quartz HQ>
"What happened hyung?" Seungkwan asked Minghao as he stepped into his cabin along with Jun and Vernon.
"Listen to what Junwoo was talking to his wife." Minghao played the audio as the doors were locked for privacy.
"Only if he hadn't threatened me so much, I would have never even started working for him in the first place." Junwoo sighed, "Why the hell am I stuck in this loop? I want to get out of this."
"Specially-" A female voice echoed, "Specially before I give birth to our child."
"Exactly." Junwoo exhaled a deep breath, "I don't to keep going to that mansion when I'm around my pregnant fine.
Lord please help me. Please help us! I need a way out."
"He's being forced." Seungkwan concluded, "Of course. Out of everyone, he's the most resentful one."
"Exactly. He's obligated as well. From both sides." Minghao nodded.
"Can we connect everyone right now? Over the call?" Vernon asked.
"No no, that's a bit risky." Jun stated, "This recording and our conclusions - mail everything to Jeonghan hyung, Joshua hyung, Hoshi, Woozi and Dino."
"Better." Minghao agreed, "I'll do that quickly."
"And I'll inform Seokmin hyung." Vernon nodded as he left the cabin.
<Choi Mansion>
"That means we can use Junwoo." Joshua spoke, "But we need a solid plan for this. Like- he should himself pursuade us for going against Sunwoo without knowing that we're already planning all this."
"I think I do have a plan for this." Jeonghan looked up, "But it's a little risky."
"What is it?" Joshua asked.
"Junwoo's wife is pregnant." Jeonghan stated, "He clearly loves his family. I had talked to Nayeon. They hand on the specifications for new subjects to Sunwoo.
Then he brings those subjects to them and they are kept under surveillance for a couple of months without harming them by any means.
So, all we have to do is to get Junwoo's wife as the subject. She would remain safe for the beginning months and within it, we will end our plan already.
Junwoo will be enraged after he'll know that Sunwoo is putting his family in danger. So, he'll side with us for sure."
Joshua nodded, pondering Jeonghan's idea. "It's risky, but it could work. If Junwoo's loyalty to his family is as strong as you're suggesting, he'd be more than willing to turn against Sunwoo to protect his wife and unborn child."
"Exactly." Jeonghan nodded, "And Sunwoo is a bastard. If he can risk his own son then he won't spare Junwoo's wife either."
"True," Joshua agreed. "But we can't underestimate Sunwoo. He's cunning and manipulative. We have to be careful, or he'll catch us in our own game."
"I know that." Jeonghan nodded, "But this time, he won't win."
Joshua assured, "Anyways, I've figured out his game of power. It's hard, Jeonghan. He has almost everyone in his hands. And we can't possibly change their sides with these tactics like we're using for Junwoo.
Unlike him, they are too selfish. They won't mind their families being in danger for their own wills. It's not wrong to say that those in power, are criminals themselves."
Jeonghan composed himself to sound stern, "There's only one way to fix this. We've to give same fate to all the Sunwoo supporters. Kill them."
The words hung heavy in the air as Joshua leaned back in his chair, his expression contemplating. "It's a drastic move, Jeonghan," he said cautiously. "We'd be no better than them if we resort to murder."
"That's the only way out of this. And those people deserve it. They're a threat to humanity." Jeonghan sighed, "They're collectively ruining thousands of lives.
Remember Nayeon's report? How many experimental subjects had been brought here? Uncountable. And this is the only way to stop all this.
We won't get our hands dirty. We'll make sure that we do everything but remain out of this."
Joshua scratched the back of his neck, mulling over Jeonghan's words. He was right, after all. But he still couldn't shake his unease, the thought of stooping as low as their enemies didn't sit right with him.
"I get where you're coming from," he said slowly. "But it's still murder, Jeonghan. We shouldn't become the monsters we're trying to defeat."
"We won't become anything." Jeonghan nodded, "Dino told that Sunwoo supplies drugs to all of the people in power who are on his side.
All we have to do is to replace those drugs with the stupid experiment pills they make in the laboratory. That's all."
Joshua let out a long exhale, still unconvinced but clearly seeing Jeonghan's determination. "It's a good plan," he admitted. "But there's a lot that can go wrong. If they find out-"
"I know that." Jeonghan scoffed, "But it's this or nothing, Joshua. Either we'll remain stuck in all this and end ourselves.
Or, we can just use their medicines against them. They're a threat to entire humanity, Joshua. And the people who should save people have already sides with the monster."
Joshua held Jeonghan's gaze for a moment before sighing, resigned to the situation. "You're right," he said quietly. "We have no choice but to resort to drastic measures. But we have to be careful. This can blow up in our faces if even one thing goes wrong."
"Yeah, we'll remain cautious." Jeonghan assured.
<Choi Mansion - Seungcheol's Room>
"You're handling them well." Jeonghan remarked as he was sitting on the couch. Seungcheol was seated on the edge of the bed with his right hand cuffed, as usual, "I mean, the acting. They're very much persuaded that you're taking the real pills."
Seungcheol grimaced as he shifted his cuffed hand. The metal still chafed against his skin, a constant reminder of his helplessness.
"Thanks," he replied drily. "I don't know whether to be proud or annoyed with how gullible they are."
Jeonghan scoffed, "Don't worry much."
Seungcheol nodded with a small grunt as he pressed his fingers over one of his shoulders.
"What happened? Does it hurt?" Jeonghan asked.
"Yeah, just... a bit stiff," Seungcheol replied. He tried to roll his shoulder, wincing at the twinge of pain.
"I think it's from being cuffed all the time," he groused. "It's not exactly a comfortable position to be in for long periods."
"I understand." Jeonghan stood up and went to the older. He stood between the older's knees while pressing his fingers over the older's shoulders, "Here, let me help."
Seungcheol looked up at Jeonghan, mildly surprised at the sudden closeness. But he couldn't deny the relief he felt as the younger's fingers dug into his sore muscles.
He let his head droop slightly, a soft sigh escaping him as Jeonghan's fingers worked their magic. "That feels good," he mumbled, closing his eyes.
As Jeonghan continued, he felt a bit giddy from inside. His movements slowed down for a while but he quickly composed himself and focused on the task in hand.
Seungcheol noticed the brief pause in Jeonghan's movements, but he didn't say anything. The younger's touch, even if slow, felt too good on his tense muscles.
He opened his eyes half-lidded, watching Jeonghan through his lashes. The younger's face was so close, so focused on his task. It was both endearing and a bit distracting.
Jeonghan focused on his work without looking into the older's eyes. He gulped visibly as he knew he was losing control, but he wanted to hide it.
"You're getting distracted," Seungcheol said, his voice low and slightly huskier.
"What are you talking about?" Jeonghan muttered.
Seungcheol chuckled softly, enjoying the way Jeonghan's face reddened slightly. "You're not as good at hiding it as you think," he said, tilting his head up to look at Jeonghan directly. "I can tell you're flustered."
"There is nothing like that, Seungcheol." Jeonghan's voice was low as he avoided any eye contact.
"Why are you averting your eyes then?" Seungcheol asked, his voice holding a hint of amusement.
Feeling a sudden burst of mischief, he reached up with his uncuffed hand, gently catching Jeonghan's chin between his fingers. He pulled the younger's face down, forcing Jeonghan to meet his gaze.
Jeonghan's hands paused, "Because I was focusing on the task." He gasped slightly.
"Is that so?" Seungcheol murmured, his thumb gently brushing against Jeonghan's jaw. "Or is it because you're too shy to look at me when I'm this close?"
"I'm not at all shy." Jeonghan retorted.
"Are you sure about that?" Seungcheol's voice was tinged with amusement as he shifted on the bed, leaning closer to Jeonghan.
He released Jeonghan's chin and moved his hand to the younger's waist, gently pulling him closer. Their proximity was now almost electrifying, the tension palpable in the air between them.
Jeonghan himself moved closer, holding the older's nape amidst his palms while looking at him, "I'm very sure."
"Is that so?" he repeated, his voice dropping to a low rasp. With Jeonghan so close, he couldn't resist the temptation, his hand moving from the younger's waist to the small of his back, pulling him even closer.
"Then prove it," he challenged, his fingers digging into Jeonghan's shirt.
Jeonghan slowly pushed the older on the bed, straddling his lap. He leaned down to kiss the older's jaw while flicking open his top-most button, "You might not stand it, Mr. Choi."
As Jeonghan moved to Seungcheol's jaw, leaving a trail of kisses, he stifled a gasp, his heart racing. "That's a bold statement," he managed to reply, his voice betraying a hint of desire.
Jeonghan unbuttoned the older's shirt half-way. But with that, the older's scars came to display as well. Jeonghan stared at those scars for a while after which he kissed them slowly.
Seungcheol clenched his jaw, trying to contain the emotions welling up within him. "What are you doing, Jeonghan?" he whispered, his voice choked.
"Trying to remind you that you don't deserve any of this." Jeonghan placed another kiss, "You deserve love."
Seungcheol's throat closed up as Jeonghan's words hit him. The gentle kisses, the tender touch, and the sincere words were overwhelming.
He reached up with his cuffed hand, gently gripping Jeonghan's wrist. "Jeonghan," he managed to say, his voice thick with emotion, "I don't... deserve you."
"Why not?" Jeonghan halted as he looked up at the older.
"I'm broken," Seungcheol said quietly, "Damaged goods. How can I deserve someone like you?"
"Shut up." Jeonghan panted slightly, "You've been terribly wronged. Still, you provide me with love after. I just want to treat you right."
Seungcheol's heart clenched as Jeonghan's voice cracked, his own guilt welling up inside him. He felt undeserving of the younger's affection, no matter how much Jeonghan protested.
Yet, in that moment, he couldn't hold back anymore. The sight of Jeonghan's flushed face, his rapid breaths, ignited a fire within him. With a swift movement, he flipped their positions, pinning Jeonghan to the bed under him.
Jeonghan gasped slightly, his hands clutching the older's half opened shirt and shoulder.
Seungcheol looked down at Jeonghan, seeing the younger's cheeks flushed and lips slightly parted. It took all his willpower not to just devour him right then and there.
His free hand moved to Jeonghan's face, caressing his jaw with his knuckles. "You drive me crazy, Jeonghan," he said, his voice a guttural whisper.
"Really?" Jeonghan asked.
Seungcheol chuckled lowly at Jeonghan's question. "You have no idea," he murmured against Jeonghan's neck, his lips brushing along the soft skin. "Your scent, your touch, your voice... it all drives me insane." He moved lower, his teeth gently nipping at Jeonghan's collarbone, relishing in the way the younger shuddered beneath him.
Jeonghan whimpered slightly while tightening his grip on the older's back, "I love that fact."
"Yeah? You love that you drive me crazy?" Seungcheol whispered, his breath hot against Jeonghan's ear. He continued his exploration, his hand moving up to tangle in Jeonghan's hair, pulling gently, exposing more of the younger's neck to his lips.
Jeonghan let out a moan at the abrupt but harmless grip, "Maybe I do."
"You're a tease," Seungcheol murmured, his hand moving to the back of Jeonghan's neck, while the other slid down to the younger's waist, slipping under his shirt.
He moved down to Jeonghan's collarbone, gently sucking and nipping at the sensitive skin, his fingers exploring the expanse of Jeonghan's back.
"So are you." Jeonghan whispered back, his eyes fluttering shut.
"Maybe I am," Seungcheol agreed, his mouth moving lower, over Jeonghan's chest. His fingers continued to roam over Jeonghan's back, mapping out each dip and curve. Seungcheol's lips traced a path down to Jeonghan's stomach, his tongue dipping into the younger's navel.
Jeonghan whimpered as his fingers tangled into the older's hair, "And it's great."
"You're sensitive," Seungcheol observed, as his tongue darted out again, licking a spot near Jeonghan's hip bone. He shifted, his body pressing closer against Jeonghan's, his lips moving lower, just above the waistband of the younger's jeans.
Jeonghan's shirt was disheveled, barely there as he writhed, clutching the older's shoulders, "All because of you and for you."
"Yeah? All for me?" Seungcheol repeated, his voice hoarse. A possessive feeling welled up within him, a primal desire to claim the younger as his own. With a low growl, he pushed the shirt up further, his hands roaming over Jeonghan's bare stomach.
Jeonghan moaned loudly, "Seung-cheol-!"
Seungcheol's hands moved up Jeonghan's torso, his fingers tracing the muscles of the younger's chest, his mouth trailing kisses along Jeonghan's collarbone.
"You're so responsive," he murmured, his lips brushing along Jeonghan's neck, feeling the rapid pulse under his skin. "But- but, we need to stop it now or we'll get carried way too far away. It can't happen here."
Jeonghan nodded with a sigh, "You're- right."
With a reluctant sigh, Seungcheol forced himself to pull back, creating some distance between them. He sat back, running a hand through his disheveled hair, trying to calm his racing heart.
Jeonghan snuggled into the older's amidst, "We can cuddle, at least."
Seungcheol chuckled, feeling a slight relief at Jeonghan's suggestion. He wrapped his arms around the younger, pulling him close against his chest.
"Cuddling is okay," he agreed, his voice a little husky.
He leaned back against the pillow, his hand stroking Jeonghan's hair, enjoying the feeling of the younger's body against his.
"Yes." Jeonghan smiled, "You're warm. My happy place."
Seungcheol hummed, "So are you, Jeonghan. My comfort."
