Goodbye... ~ 2
I trembled as I saw just the amount of blood spilled over the concrete. As my eyes traveled up to the source, my heart skipped a beat, my voice caught in my throat. The head of the victim was covered in blood, but I could just make out the golden blond flash of hair. The color of hair my dad had. I rushed to his side and stared into his eyes. "How did you get here?! Who shot you?! Please, say something!!!"
"HEY! YOU!! You weren't supposed to see that!!!!" Shouted a gruff voice. I turned my head to the side to see a tall guy in jeans and a black hoodie. He fired his gun and I dodged it just in time. As he ran away, I saw a symbol on the back of his hoodie depicting a fan.
I looked back down to my dad, who's eyes were dull and his body going into tremors as he said, "Please... find... revive... the... Uch--" He was cut off as his body went into a last jerking seizure before he went cold.
"DAD???!! DAD!!! WAKE UP!! SAY SOMETHING!" I sobbed out. "DAAAAAAAAAAAAD!" I sat there, as long as I thought might've been possible, just grieving for my dead father.

I slowly took out my phone, with a trembling hand. I dialed 911, but then found I didn't know why. He's already dead, and the shooter is long gone. So I simply picked up my dad, and trudged to my aunt's house, only two blacks away.
"NOOO! Why did you have to leave... Elizabeth has already left you.. Please don't tell me he commited suicide!" My aunt wailed. "No, he was shot." I said, tears still streaming down my face.
"The shooter.. he had a symbol on his jacket.. of a fan, I think. What do you think that means?" I choked out. Her eyes flashed but she didn't speak.
"Dad... Ready for time..?" I murmered, as I closed his eyelids for the final time. I could hear him saying in my heart,
"Always."
