♥️Chapter XXVII♥️
Happy Monday, how are y'all doing? ♥️
It was unanimously agreed that whilst Kasey was going to search the downstairs left of the store for the missing Topaz Tiara...
Leilani was going to search downstairs right, and Raina Riele was going to search the whole of upstairs instead.
It had seemed as though Raina Riele had the most work to do considering how she was searching the whole of upstairs whilst the boys were searching half of downstairs...
She didn't seem to mind though.
They had all gone to their respective places, and since they weren't going to be with each other, they all had to communicate with each other through the phone.
That was what upstairs of the store had looked like, with Raina Riele just arriving there.
Alright y'all, I just arrived upstairs.
Good, Kasey had told her through the phone. Let's all try to look for the topaz tiara before it's too late.
And remember whatever you do, don't explicitly ask anyone for the topaz tiara in case they suspect anything, Leilani had added.
Soooo, I can indirectly ask them about it instead? Raina Riele wanted to know.
None of the boys had said anything to that.
Then it was agreed that no.
They really didn't want anyone getting suspicious over anything they were doing right now.
Raina Riele rolled her eyes, not that the boys could have seen her because they couldn't.
Alright. Good luck, you guys!
Same to you, Kasey and Leilani had said to Raina at the same time, ending the call.
Like Raina Riele had predicted, getting the topaz tiara, most especially from this jewellery store where there were too many jewelleries available was a lot easier said than done.
In fact, her attention wasn't even on that.
It was... at first.
Just not anymore.
This was because as Raina Riele was trying to look for the topaz tiara, something had caught her eye on the other side of her.
Someone had caught her eye instead.
There was this 50 year old mother and 13 year old daughter on the opposite side of Raina Riele right now, and they had looked like this.
The daughter's name was Brianni whilst the mother's name was Riki Yvette (which were also their real names).
It was currently Brianni's 13th birthday, with Riki Yvette buying her birthday present for her on the spot.
Because she had been so swamped with work, she therefore couldn't have done it earlier, so therefore she had done it not.
Brianni hadn't been so happy in her life, with her mother showing her this necklace:
Saying Brianni on it instead of Brianna.
It may have been on the spot, but it was really beautiful, with Raina Riele watching everything behind this transparent cupboard where there were necklaces.
How Brianni's face had lit up.
How she had hugged Riki Yvette as if she had done the kindest thing in the world.
How their hug had lasted for ten seconds although it had felt like centuries.
"Mum, it's beautiful! I love it so much!"
As Brianni was thanking her mother over everything, it had then dawned on Raina what RonReaco had said to her earlier on.
Sounds to me like you got grass is greener syndrome.
This is why mum and dad always tell you to appreciate what you have before it turns into what you had, but you didn't listen.
He was right.
She didn't listen.
And Raina Riele didn't normally talk to strangers like this, but she kind of really desperately had to ask Riki Yvette something.
When the coast was clear, with Raina Riele unintentionally ignoring the text messages Kasey and Leilani had sent her because she was being so quiet for a pretty long time:
Kasey🎶💙:
Raina, you okay? You ain't picking up.
Leilani♥️✨:
Raina, Kasey & I are kind of concerned right now. You alright? xx
She had gone over to Riki Yvette, tapping her on the shoulder as her and her daughter Brianni were just about to leave the room.
Riki Yvette and Brianni didn't seem too happy when they had seen Raina Riele, with Raina Riele excessively thinking that maybe attempting to talk to a stranger may not have been the best option for her after all.
"May we help you?" Brianni wanted to know, looking at Raina Riele with wide eyes.
She wasn't smiling.
Then again, she wasn't frowning either.
She was just emotionless, most especially because she didn't know this girl.
Talk to them.
Just do it and get this over with!
"Uhm... hi..." Raina Riele had deadpanned eventually. "I know you don't know me, but I just wanted to ask... how does your daughter appreciate what she has? If she's your daughter!"
Hopefully, she was.
Because if she wasn't then that would have been the worst thing.
Thankfully, Riki Yvette had smiled, not saying anything else.
Then she had told Raina Riele to sit down next to her on this chair, as Brianni on the other hand had looked after the shopping.
"How to be thankful for what you have?"
Raina Riele nodded.
"I've always... I've always kind of struggled with that, hurting people around me unintentionally and then some."
"Trust me, we have too, especially how we're living on welfare benefits," Riki Yvette had explained kindly to Raina Riele. "But you've seriously got to remember that some people out there literally have nothing. And that the grass isn't always greener. If you don't appreciate what you have, it would surely be taken away from you. You don't want that to happen, do you?"
She shook her head.
Raina Riele had known that from experience.
Riki Yvette barely even had time for Brianni, but not in that way, she was just swamped with work that she couldn't really have spent time with her daughter.
She had lived with her husband too, who had looked after Brianni because when she had left for work, Brianni was still sleeping.
And the same thing had gone for when Riki had come back.
Raina Riele had thanked her for that, before then saying sorry for intruding.
"Don't mention it. Happy to help!"
Then she had wished Brianni a happy birthday, telling her to enjoy her teenage years as much as she should because it went by quickly.
In case you were wondering, their real names are Brianni Walker and Riki Yvette Westmoreland😇🤗 they're from some of Dhar Mann's videos too. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed xx
