As soon as Sitara had left the room with Raina Riele, the first person that she had encountered was Kasey.

Kasey wasn't planning to eavesdrop on their conversation, although because he did hear his name a few times, he couldn't really help himself.

"Sitara..."

She had been trying to avoid him, even if she had seen him.

Reluctantly, she had then rolled her eyes, turning to face a semi cross and suspicious Kasey.

"Yeah?"

"Why were you in the storage room just now with Raina Riele?"

Damn.

Of course.

They were talking about Kasey, Kasey was bound to eavesdrop.

Plus Sitara couldn't really blame him.

If someone had been talking about her somewhere, as in they had mentioned her name, then she was most definitely going to eavesdrop as well.

"Uhm... it was about Maths."

If Kasey had found out that they had really been talking about Unsuspected Love then Sitara wouldn't have heard the end of it.

"But you said my name. I heard y'all say Kasey like ten or so times."

They were talking about how Kasey deserved to be in top set maths instead of the second highest set- he was insanely smart.

And all of this was true, yeah.

But what wasn't true was the fact that the girls hadn't been talking about that at all.

Kasey looked at her suspiciously.

"I'll take your word for it," he deadpanned. "But if I find out that you're lying to me then you'll pay for it, you get me?"

Especially if she had talked to her about Unsuspected Love, which she totally did.

Basically, she would have suffered the consequences.

Which was probably going to be her being kicked out of the group.

Or something similar to that, if not that.

Although that might not have happened because Kasey secretly fancied this girl.

Sitara didn't know that and neither did anybody else because Kasey did keep his love interests a secret more often than not.

She had nodded either way, with her dashing to her class and Kasey slowly walking to his instead.

The storage room just had to be right in between the lockers, didn't it?

"What do you mean you want to drop out of university?!"

"It's too hard, mum," RonReaco had ranted to his parents. "I can't do it anymore."

His parents Annaisha and Jeronicus were on the dining table, with RonReaco on the other hand standing right in front of them.

It was after school now, and Raina Riele was trying to make her way to Kasey's house for their impromptu sleepover.

That she wasn't even invited to but she didn't care.

As the girl was getting ready for the sleepover upstairs, packing things in her mini suitcase...

Her older brother RonReaco on the other hand wanted to drop out of university completely because his course was apparently too difficult.

Their dining room had looked like this overall:

Raina Riele was almost done, she was about to go down the stairs any minute now- although she really had to hide her suitcase.

So that no one would have suspected anything.

Either way, RonReaco was taking engineering right now at university.

He wanted to switch to animation, aka his second passion after engineering.

Plus he really liked anime.

Animation was now his first passion after he had found out how frustrating engineering was.

"Typical RonReaco, if something is too hard for you, then you just give up, don't you?" Annaisha complained. "Raina Riele might be ungrateful half of the time, but at least she never gives up on something she really cares about or believes in. No matter how hard things are."

She wasn't wrong.

RonReaco rolled his eyes either way.

Raina was ungrateful but shockingly resilient.

RonReaco was grateful but not resilient instead.

"What your mum means is, Don't drop university. Just change courses." Jeronicus had said to his son smoothly.

"That's what I've been tryna tell you guys since, that engineering ain't for me, but y'all didn't listen! I know we all unanimously chose this course but I don't like it. I didn't think it would be like this at all."

They didn't listen to him at first because it was pretty natural for someone to complain about their course the first time.

Raina Riele did.

Although she had complained about most things, no offence to her.

But now that RonReaco fully wanted to drop out of university because of one course?

Then yes, things were pretty serious.

Annaisha had asked the kid what course he wanted to do now, and luckily it wasn't too late to join.

He was only two weeks in.

He could have waited for things to get better but they probably weren't going to get better at all- and RonReaco was a pretty positive person.

But noooo.

Engineering was too much for him.

Coursework was supposed to be 100% enjoyable or if not then at least semi enjoyable, not completely unenjoyable instead.

Looking at Jeronicus for advice, Annaisha had then turned to face RonReaco again.

"And are you sure that animation is your final choice?" She wanted to know. "No more changing courses after this. We can't afford indecisiveness. You're in university."

He nodded.

"Yes mum. And dad. I'm 100% sure that animation will be my final change and-"

He was stopped halfway when Raina Riele had come down the stairs.

With her suitcase.

For some reason.

She was just about to dash outside, that was until Annaisha had caught her dead in her tracks.

This girl was busted.

"And where do you think you're going Raina Riele?"

That was coming from Annaisha again, with everybody in Raina's family stopping to look at her.

She had only lived with three people overall.

RonReaco.

Annaisha.

Jeronicus.

That was it.

Nobody died. Nobody left.

Freaking out, Raina Riele had then leaned against the door, hyperventilating like crazy.

"Oh! I'm... going to one of my friend's house to study."

Correction:

She was going to Kasey's house to completely destroy the impromptu sleepover that he was planning with the rest of Unsuspected Love for their psychology project.

RonReaco had given her a dirty look because he didn't believe her.

But she didn't care.

All she had to do was to get her parents to believe her.

Easier said than done though.

Way easier.
