♥️Chapter VII♥️

Go with him.

Nah... what you doing, Kasey?

Don't go with him.

Gooo with him, you have no one else to go with to be honest.

You can't be an island on your own, you don't even have any friends.

Right now, Leilani was with Kasey at the boys' toilets.

Leilani was worried about him most especially after people had kept on making fun of him because he had lost his voice.

Or he was losing his voice anyway.

Leilani had additionally offered Kasey a chance to go with him to KFC nearby, which was what Kasey was still deciding on right now.

He seems genuine.

What if he's not?

What if it's just a facade?

What if-

Kasey. You're overthinking.

If this guy didn't care about you then he wouldn't even have bothered to look for you when you stormed into the toilets.

He politely accepted.

Apparently though, there was a pretty long line to go there so if they wanted to go inside on time then they had to be quick.

Sienna Rose, Rayselle, Sitara and Serenity were still in the line, with Kasey and Leilani making their way over there right now.

Leilani wanted to know why Kasey had decided to sing, despite the fact that he had lost his voice.

Did Kasey know that he was going to lose his voice though?

No, no he didn't.

"You should have witnessed some symptoms at least..."

"Whose side are you on?" Kasey frowned, folding his arms. "You kinda sound like one of those people that made fun of me over the whole thing."

That was honestly not his intention at all really.

The good thing about them being in this line together at the moment was the fact that they had gotten to know each other.

The main reason that Kasey was so introverted despite his popularity was because he had believed in quality over quantity.

The friends he had had in the past had normally left him after they had discovered that he could have sung.

Men don't sing, man.

Men play football.

What kinda person are you?

So many people threw shade at Kasey just because he was a boy and he was good at singing.

It wasn't like he had asked to be good at singing, did he? No, he didn't.

It just happened.

Kasey believed that everybody had a talent, some just needed to dig a little deeper to actually find it.

Him being good at singing was why he didn't really have any friends back at school. Because apparently it was against all Male gender stereotypes.

"So many people praise you for your talent though."

"Yeah, but then they may use me for ulterior motives, which I'm not always mindful of."

Come to think of it, Kasey didn't even know Leilani's own name.

They had been talking so much about him that Kasey barely knew anything about Leilani.

He didn't even know if Leilani had been deliberately avoiding conversation about him on purpose though, which was what he wanted to find out.

When Kasey had asked Leilani for his name, Leilani fell silent.

He kind of turned red a bit.

He didn't know my name before?

What if he knows about Raina Riele leaving me for the cheerleading squad, kinda kicking me to the curb in front of everyone?

Leilani didn't know if he should have remained silent about his name, or if it was in his best interest to lie.

He told him eventually, although he wasn't too happy about it.

"Your name sounds awfully familiar..."

Kasey couldn't even have said that they had had any lessons together because they didn't.

Except from Maths, with Leilani being really quiet there.

Leilani had left him to guess exactly why his name had sounded so familiar, which took a while to be honest although the kid had gotten there eventually.

"Raina Riele kicked you to the curb!"

Leilani didn't say anything, he just looked at Kasey dead in the eye but that was it.

Everyone was looking at him at the moment, after realising that this was true.

Damn, if Raina Riele was here right now, she would have been very embarrassed, just like Leilani was right now.

When Kasey realised what he had said, as well as everybody looking at Leilani as if he was crazy, he had fallen silent.

Then he had realised that maybe he had taken everything a little bit too far.

He didn't mean any harm, with Leilani forgiving him for what he had done.

Very reluctantly though.

Kasey was just confused right now, because he had genuinely thought that him and Raina Riele were best friends.

Hahahahaha.

Seemingly.

Raina Riele had just left him, and Kasey didn't even know why, that was until he had remembered what Sienna Rose as well as Rayselle had said about to him the whole thing.

"Don't worry, my brother," Rayselle had whispered behind him, gently placing his hand on Leilani's shoulder, then he sighed. "It's her loss. Not yours."

"I just don't understand why she would do this to me after everything in which I've done for her," Leilani had complained.

Complaining had gotten him nowhere to be honest.

It wasn't as though Raina Riele would have just changed her mind. She could have done so in the future maybe, but for now?

Heck to the no.

Leilani didn't know what on Earth he had done wrong, that was until his adopted sister Sienna Rose had said something.

She had a feeling that she had known why Raina Riele had just suddenly decided to leave Leilani like that, but she wasn't so sure about it at the same time.

"I think it's because you're too available," she had stated, with Rayselle as well as Leilani just looking at her like crazy.

If I hadn't been so available for her, then maybe she would have still been my best friend. Leilani had thought to himself.

The thing that had hurt the most was Leilani didn't even know how Raina Riele had felt about her leaving him.

She probably felt good about it.

She was probably having the time of her life.

Eventually, being popular had really gotten to Riele. She had liked it at first.

But three weeks down the line?

She hated it.

She really hated it, and she had missed Leilani.

Too bad that Leilani didn't miss her anymore.

His days of missing her were over.
