♥️Chapter LVIII / Epilogue♥️

This is officially the last chapter
Happy reading again, sereniity-

Picture above: William Allen Young as Maverick and Bernadette Stanis as Amarachi (Sitara's grandparents)

If Unsuspected Love had thought that Sitara didn't want any visitors, then they were clearly wrong.

Ever since Serenity's death, Sitara had just been staring out of the window, waiting for them to come, all of them.

She must have forgotten the fact that Raina Riele was a part of the group now or something otherwise she wouldn't have wanted all of them to come.

It had now been about five or so hours since Sitara had broken the news to them about Serenity's death, with her parents going to the hospital to collect her things.

She was at her grandparents' house in the meantime.

Sitara had felt pretty bad for her parents though, they were on their honeymoon in Spain, only for them to come back two weeks' early when they had that Latroy had shot Serenity.

Not just that but their flight had gotten cancelled until the day after. Some aeroplane pilot had tragically died like Serenity had just done, so therefore all flights were cancelled for that day.

It would have been for that entire week but it wasn't, as they were aware that a lot of people wanted to go back to wherever they wanted to come from.

Someone had even offered to make them go back for free although a lot of people wanted to go back on that day (like 300) and they didn't want to lose too much money.

Sitara's grandparents were known as Maverick and Amarachi, whose house she had been staying at since her parents had left for their honeymoon.

Maverick was beyond concerned now when Sitara had done nothing but stare at the window despite the fact that they had gotten a lot of sorry for your loss cards.

"Sitara, honey," her 70 year old grandfather had said to her, his wife Amarachi had given birth pretty young. "Why do you keep looking out of the window? It's like you're expecting someone or something."

"I'm not expecting anyone," she lied. "I'm just waiting for my parents to get back, that's all."

She was expecting Unsuspected Love.

But she didn't even know why she was. She just was.

Obviously if her sister had just died they were going to give her some privacy. At the same time, she didn't want that.

She wanted them to come and visit her in actual real life.

Maverick didn't really want anyone coming over, hence why he didn't tell everyone he knew about Serenity's death. Just the close ones.

They were even the ones that had gotten them presents, especially if they had lived nearby. He could have been able to detect that she was lying even from rooms away.

So Sitara had told him about her friendship group, which just so happened to be when Amarachi had finished sorting out the condolences presents.

"So let me get this straight. You're expecting Unsuspected Love to come but they don't know that you're expecting them to come?"

"I mean yeah, but at the same time, I don't even know why I want them to come so bad. I mean, I just lost my one and only sibling. I knew they don't care about me. None of them have even said sorry for your loss."

Amarachi had gotten involved in the conversation now, sitting down next to a solemn Serenity on their pretty spacious dining table:

She had let her know that they had probably just finished school so they weren't allowed to use their phones - the possibilities were endless.

Little did Sitara know that they were actually on their way here right now.

She had waited for another thirty minutes or so and they had knocked on the window when she had lost all hope in them.

In fact, she was more annoyed at them that she was over her sister dying.

When someone had rang the doorbell though, she had jumped a little bit, wanting to know who it might have been.

Leilani had told her that it was a surprise, with Sitara thinking something to herself.

No way, could it be...

No...

She wanted to look out of the window but then that would have kind of ruined the surprise.

So she had opened the door to find them.

They all had balloons and sorry for your loss cards as well, with Sitara screaming and putting a hand to her mouth when she had seen everything.

"I didn't think you guys would come!"

She did previously but then this had kind of faded away throughout the time.

"Yeah, we had school sorry," Kasey had apologised to her, with all of them going in. "But as soon as we finished school, we came here as fast as we could."

They weren't kidding either, they were still in their school clothes. They hadn't gone home once. They had literally come here straight from school.

That was how much they had cared about her. They had put her needs first even if it didn't seem that way.

As they were helping Sitara, Amarachi and Maverick with the presents and other things, Leilani and Rayselle had muttered to Kasey how he should have told Sitara he liked her.

"What, right now?"

They nodded.

"But she's grieving."

Yes, but Unsuspected Love being here right now had obviously made her day. So they never knew, maybe Kasey admitting he had feelings for her would have made her day even better.

Kasey didn't know, he had liked her for a pretty long time plus now didn't seem like the right time to do it.

Not just that - what if he had gotten rejected?

"I think I'll wait until after Serenity's funeral."

To be fair they had only brought this up because Kasey had said that the next time he had seen Sitara, he would have told her how he had felt about her.

"Yeah- when she felt better about Serenity getting shot. Not in that way though, when she had emotionally healed from that."

At the same time, he did want to get this out of the way plus maybe she had liked him back too.

Sighing, Kasey had gone over to her, not believing that he was actually doing something like this.

Sitara was talking to Amarachi and Raina Riele about something, and Sitara as well as Raina had seemed to be friends with each other by finally settling their differences with each other.

Are you crazy?

She's grieving. You can't tell her.

Kasey sighed.

But now that I think about it, I really want to get this out of the way and I don't think I can wait this any longer.

Not really thinking about who was in the room at the moment, Kasey had called her name.

She had stopped what she was doing to look at him, and as she was doing that that Kasey had felt his pupils dilating.

"Hey, Kasey, what's up?"

The words couldn't come out, especially now, she had just lost her sister.

Instead of telling her he had liked her though, he had just said sorry for your loss and he had hugged her instead.

He didn't want to embarrass himself or her right now either.

Serenity's funeral was three weeks after she had died, with all of them being close to Sitara to comfort her when she had been buried, and during the funeral itself.

Kasey had told her that he had liked her the day before, with Sitara liking him back, she was just too scared to say anything.

She had liked him ever since she had heard him sing.

They had even secretly had their first kiss with each other which was by accident mainly - this had happened at school when no one was looking.

Sitara had thanked each and every single one of them for all their help, and they had hugged each other because that was what friends were for.

Not just that, but they had put their hands in the middle, then they had counted to three before shouting...

"Unsuspected Love!"
