Episode 12 SEASON FINALE: The Sinister Six

"So, what are you guys going to do this weekend?" Ethan asks as he walks out of the courtyard with his sisters. "No more classes until Monday!"

"Yeah, thank goodness," Julia says, stretching her arms over her head. "I'm going to take a long, hardy nap."

"I have to work this weekend," Maria groans. "But, I might invite Gwen and Liz over for dinner later. What are you doing this weekend, Ethan?"

"I'm going to work on some Spider things in the lab. After my talk with Connors, I feel unstoppable," he whispers.

"Hey, Jules, are you okay?" Maria asks, ignoring Ethan for a moment. She notices her sister looking off to the side in a bit of a daze.

"Yeah, I'm just tired," she answers with a smile. "Classes and such. Say, Ethan, do you think you could make my web shooters more sturdy?"

"You're the one who wanted them to be so thin," he points out.

"I know," she presses. "I just want more beads in."

"Ask John about that one, but I can refill everyone's web fluid while I'm at the lab. We all know how much of the stuff you and Andrew go through."

"Not my fault I like to feel free in the sky," Julia snaps.

Maria sighs through her nose and looks at Ethan. "I probably go through the least of it."

"Taking the subway will do that to you," he says, making her roll her eyes playfully. "Someone tell me why we all have different colors again. Making just white would be so much easier."

"First of all, Andrew can only control his yellow webs," Julia reminds him. "Something to do with the type of chemical used for the yellow dye or whatever. Second of all, you know that John with white webs would not bode well."

"What about your grey ones?" Maria asks.

"What about his red ones? It's all about style," she responds, pointing at herself with her thumbs.

"You're the last one who should be talking about style," Maria retorts, and Ethan yells, "OOOOOH!" in the background.

"Whatever," she responds, stopping at their apartment building. "I'll make some cookies or something."

"Hey, wait up!" Maria yells as she enters through the automatic doors. She looks back at Ethan one last time and says, "Don't work too late. Make sure you rest, bro!"

Ethan shakes his head as he watches his sisters head up to their rooms. Taking his phone out of his pocket, he considers calling his brothers to see what they're up to. "I could use some company," he mutters to himself and dials Andrew's number.

Theme song!

"Dude, what the HECK?!" Andrew yells, throwing the Xbox controller on the ground. "I had him! Bro, are you kidding me?"

"I thought you said you were good at Fortnite." John mutters, peeved that he's not the one playing games. He could really use some Minecraft right about now.

"He was a hacker, I swear. There's no way he hit me from that far away."

"It's called a sniper, dude."

"But, the game said he shot me with a shotgun!"

John shrugs. "Your loss, man."

"Dare me to hit the Report Player button?"

"No. Just because he is doing Orange Justice over your loot doesn't mean he's a hacker."

"But, he's toxic! I'd be saving future players."

"If you report him, then you're the one who's toxic."

"Fine! I quit!" Andrew yells, throwing the controller into the air.

"Finally. Can I play now?"

"You played all week! Just let me do one more match," he pleads, scrambling to get the controller back in his hands. "You'll watch me get a Battle Royale, I swear!"

"Yeah, one hundred years from now," John groans. Something buzzes next to him and he sees his twin's phone light up. "Ethan's calling you."

"Can you answer it? I'm deciding where to drop."

"No, it's your phone."

"Then just put it on speaker."

John rolls his eyes but does what he says and answers the call. "Hey, Ethan, it's John. You're on speaker with me and Andrew The Idiot."

"Hey!" Andrew yells, annoyed at the nickname. "What's up, Ethan? You should hop on Fortnite."

"I have my lab to myself today and I was wondering if you guys wanted special access. I can show you around and we can make something," Ethan offers.

"Why would I want to go to school when I'm perfectly happy being here at home?" John asks.

"For once, I agree with John."

"We can work on Spiderlings equipment," Ethan says in a sing-songy voice.

"Okay!" Andrew yells. Leaving the match and shutting off the television. "Man, I haven't worked on stuff like that since I helped with your backpack."

"Count me out. I'm staying here, and I have all the equipment that I need in my room," John says, grabbing the television remote.

Andrew kicks it out of his hands and says, "Come on, man. You never want to hang out with me or Ethan."

"I just want to relax!"

"Julia asked if you would update her web shooters," Ethan mentions. "Why not tinker with some new stuff I have here? Get out of the house for a bit."

"Do it! Do it!" Andrew presses.

John puts the heels on his palms onto his forehead and brushes his bangs away with a groan. "Fine, if it will get you two to shut up. Give us a bit to catch a cab."

"No need, we will swing there," Andrew says.

"No, I'm not-"

"Yes, we are swinging there. See ya in a second, Ethan!" Andrew hangs up the phone and John becomes even more annoyed. Before he can say anything, Andrew jumps off the couch and says, "Physical activity is good for you. Come on, Shadow, let's swing in the sunlight for once."

"I can't believe this idea of yours," Hammer Head says from across the table. "You're going to get caught."

"I'd watch your tongue if I were you," Montana snaps, twirling his lasso around in his hands.

"You both need to just sit back and relax," Tombstone says as he turns around, his hands behind his back. "Setting Kingpin's lackeys loose does two things for us. First: it solidifies a treaty. The Kingpin and I have the same goals now, the Spiderlings' deaths. If I free them, Fisk will understand our situation and give us a helping hand."

"And second?" Hammer Head grumbles.

"With that many powerful beings loose on the streets, the Spiderlings will be terminated for sure. Life will go back to the way it's always been. Insect free."

"They're arachnids," Hammer Head argues.

"Bugs all the same," Montana chimes in.

"I don't like teaming up with Fisk," Hammer Head continues. "He helped me get to the top, but then I found my own path. Mob bosses don't see eye to eye ever."

"We aren't mob bosses, Joseph," Tombstone says with a sharp toothed smile. "We're philanthropists. We organize crime in the city so it doesn't get out of hand."

"I just want these Spiders out of here. Why don't you go in, take 'em off one at a time?" Hammer Head asks.

Montana lets out a whistle and tilts his hat up. "We tried, but they're slippery."

"Why do you think we aren't in our old building anymore, Joseph?" Tombstone asks, gesturing to the room around them. "Hiding out in an old warehouse. We need the Kingpin to take out the Spiders and clear our names. Once they're gone, I'll buy you a penthouse."

"I wouldn't mind the one Norman Osborn's got," Hammer Head mutters. He crosses his legs and leans back in his chair. "So, how will he clear our names when you, without a mask, break villains out of prison on a daily basis?"

"Without the Spiders, no one will be able to control us, don't you get it?" Tombstone asks.

"You're telling me," Hammer Head continues, "that you intend on killing the Spiderlings by throwing every villain you have access to in their faces?"

"We've tried to team up on'em before, but these guys... are ruthless," Montana admits.

"Trust me. With the candidates I've chosen, the police will be scraping pieces of Spiders off the pavement until midnight."

"THEY'RE MENACES!" The television blares as Maria gets everything ready for dinner. She pulls out a steak and some potatoes and half listens to Jameson yelling on the news.

"But, Mr. Jameson, I thought you helped out the Spiderlings when they were taking on Hydro-Man and Sandman," an interviewer argues.

"I don't care what happened on Halloween! They're-"

"You don't have to keep saying they're menaces."

"Clearly I do because the people of New York still praise them as gods! When are we going to learn that it's the people who make a difference, not swinging ballerinas running around in their tights. That Halloween night is the perfect example - they clearly needed our help! The people can defend themselves!"

Maria glances over at the television just as Jameson rises in his seat. He starts pointing at the camera, and the station fuzzes out on a technical error, which always happens whenever Jameson goes nuts.

"Jules, can you... Jules?" When Maria doesn't get an answer, she leaves the kitchen and heads to her sister's room, thankfully finding her on the floor staring at the ceiling.

"Would you mind if I went to a friend's for dinner?" she asks.

"What do you mean? Our friends are coming over here, silly," Maria responds happily.

"I just... yeah, you're right."

"Who did you want to see?"

"Max."

Maria pauses, feeling a leap in her chest. She was worried Julia was going to say Tanner, but Max is a whole different story. Maybe he can be the kind of guy friend she needs to snap her out of that relationship. "I don't mind one bit."

"Are you serious?" Julia asks, confused. She looks at her sister perplexed. "You never sound so delighted when I want to hang out with Tanner."

And there it is. "Girl, if you want to hang out with Max then go for it. They're way different people."

"You think so?"

"Oh, for sure," Maria says, not getting into any of the details. "Go, I'll give the girls some excuse."

"Thanks, really," Julia says as she stands up. She hugs her sister and grabs her Aqua mask. "I had to get out of the house."

"You always do," Maria mutters as she watches her sister jump out of the window. Sighing, she heads back into the kitchen to feed the dogs and start on their dinner, now preparing enough for three instead of four.

Aqua Spider does flips as she swings through the city, making sure nothing falls out of her backpack as she does so. Rolling off a few buildings, she free falls for a bit then sees someone coming in her direction. As they pass, she yells, "Hey Ollie and Shadow!"

"Yo, Aqua!" Shadow yells with a wave.

"Happy birthday, sis!" Ollie shouts during a flip.

"Thanks, guys!" she says, continuing on her path. People on the ground look in awe as the three of them pass by each other, interested to see all three of them in action. One woman takes out her phone and films the twins swinging away, her eyes squinting behind the camera with a smirk.

"Woah, Dad, look! It's Shadow and Olympic Spider!" Harry says, pointing at them as they fly by from the other side of the window. "They're so cool."

"Yes, son, they sure are," Norman responds, putting a hand on his son's back.

"Hm hmmm uh la la hmm," Ethan hums, drumming his fingers on the lab table. He's been waiting for a solid twenty minutes and is starting to lose his patience. Thankfully, he hears the doors of the lab open before he completely loses his mind. "It's about time!"

"We don't exactly live right next door," John says, taking off his mask and throwing it onto a rack. "So, how long is this gonna take?"

"Come on, it'll be so much fun that you'll lose all sense of time," Ethan responds. "What do you want to work on first? Shooters? Gadgets? Costumes?"

"You can work on more web fluid. I'll try and make a better shooter for Julia," John says, sitting in a rolling stool.

"What can I do?" Andrew asks.

"Help me out. I'll show you how to make webs," Ethan offers.

"Yes!"

"Okay," Julia breathes as she lands on the side of Max's house. She takes off her mask and stuffs it in her bag, dropping to the ground so it's easier to put her jacket on over her costume. Of course, she takes her sweatshirt off first and zips up a normal orange jacket followed by some black sweatpants and socks over the bottom of her uniform. Making sure none of her Aqua Spider suit is showing (she remembered to take the gloves off as well), she knocks on the door. It takes a minute, but Max thankfully answers.

He has a tired look on his expression, but seeing Julia makes him smile as he says, "Hey! What are you doing in Queens?"

"Stopping by to say hello! Do you have time?" she asks.

"Sure! Come right on in," he responds, opening the door wider for her. He closes it and jumps in front of her. "Oh, wait! I have something to show you."

"Hah, okay," she says, not really knowing what to expect.

Max leads her into the living room where they sat on the couch and talked before, but it's way neater and the boxes are all gone. Everything looks polished and there is a giant chandelier on the ceiling, and the lamps have also been replaced. He flips a switch on the wall and the room lights up beautifully, way better than it had before.

"Wow, nice makeover!" Julia compliments, looking around the room before taking her spot on the couch. "I like your home decor."

"I have an eye for style, eh?"

"Well, I wouldn't go that far."

"Ouch," Max says jokingly. "So, how's your day been?"

"Pretty good!" she says happily. "You only turn 21 once."

Max looks like he almost passes out at her statement. "It's your birthday?! Do you want any, uh, I think I have some gin in the back room."

"No way! That's my favorite. You don't have to-"

"Nonsense! I'll be right back." He practically leaps across the room to get to the kitchen where he keeps his alcohol, and Julia can't help but to shake her head and smile.

"We only have one shot at this, and it's a tiny window," Tombstone hears Hammer Head's voice over his coms.

"How long do I have?" he asks.

Hammer Head pauses for a second before responding, "Twenty minutes. That includes locating them, getting their gear, and heading off."

"I could do it in fifteen," Tombstone says with a chuckle and kicks the door down.

Alarms blare throughout the prison, and there are strobe lights flickering in every room to try and discombobulate him, but Tombstone just walks right on through. Luckily, the guards seem more occupied with keeping the inmates contained than worrying about the man who is breaking down their front door. Lincoln bites his bottom lip with his teeth, feeling his skin scratch but not break as he turns the corner and punches down a steel door, finally making it to the cells.

"Mr. Flint Marko and Morris Bench," Tombstone addresses, stopping in front of a cell with a glass window separating him from the captives. "I have a proposition for you that I think you will find fascinating."

At the end of his statement, the two turn to him and then to each other with a nasty grin. The glass shatters from one single punch from Tombstone, and he rips the collars off them once they step into the hallway. Sand starts to trickle once again from Flint's hands as he says, "The guards will come back here soon enough. We can get out through-"

"Back that way. There will be a helicopter with two men inside. I have more inmates to meet," Tombstone orders, pointing at the area where he kicked down the door.

"You sure? We can help-" Morris is cut off by him.

"Don't worry," he cracks his knuckles, "This isn't my first time."

Tombstone walks off deeper into the prison, leaving the two freed men confused. Yet, they run in the opposite direction to do as he says. Lincoln runs into some armored guards, but leaves a dent in them as he walks by, punching holes through their chest plates and screen shields. One woman runs up behind him with a gun and shoots him in the back, but he sighs, turns around, and snaps her head to the side making a crack echo through the hallways with the alarms. In the next room, he finds Adrian's cell but he's not inside of it. Probably in the infirmary. His loss, he thinks to himself and turns around to face Kraven. Without even saying anything, he punches the lock and makes the glass go down. "Your gear is in the armory, and there is a helicopter outside. I don't think I have to tell you to be careful."

"Much obliged, drook. I take it this is Kingpin's doing?" Kraven asks, sucker punching an officer as they run up to tackle him.

"Nope, it's mine. However, we may be working together after you and a group of others kill some spiders for us."

"Now that sounds like a party," Kraven says with a smirk and sprints toward the armory.

Huffing, Tombstone makes his way to the lower and more secure levels of the prison. Luckily, everyone who is under the influence of the mob bosses has evacuated or is playing dead, so he won't hurt anyone who is on their side. He wipes the front of his suit that is stained with blood and rolls his eyes, annoyed that he ruined yet another piece of fine clothing.

These halls are darker, the blinking lights turning to white instead of red, and the alarms are quieter than they are upstairs. It's almost a ghost town since most of the cells are empty, but he knows better. There are only two people who occupy this floor.

"Scorpion, I presume," Tombstone says as he reaches the first cell.

Mac's tail twitches as it rises above his head. "Who's asking?" he hisses.

"The Aqua Spider, of course." At his answer, the end of Scorpion's tail flickers and he can see the polished knife-like blade turn sharper somehow.

Mac doesn't stop chuckling even as Tombstone rips out the controls of his cell, allowing him to step into the hallway. He follows the man to the end of the path where a giant cell is located, and he opens it without saying anything this time. "I don't know what your plan is," Scorpion says, smiling, "but I like it."

Rhino steps next to them, glaring at the guy who broke him out. "What is this?"

"A second chance," Tombstone answers. "You can kill the Emerald Spider for me, and this time you will have help."

"Does that sound good, buddy ol' pal?" Scorpion asks.

Rhino nods. "Da. I've been dreaming of crushing her skull," he says, pounding one of his fists into his palm. "Show us the way out."

"This way, gentlemen," Tombstone says while gesturing to the way he came in. Straightening his collar, he leads Scorpion and Rhino outside where a helicopter is waiting and already housing three of their villain friends.

Everyone loads inside except for Rhino who runs along the ground, breaking through the walls with his head as he charges. In the helicopter, Tombstone stands behind the driver's seat and faces the other four he helped break out of prison. "I think you all know why you're here, so I don't have to explain myself. I saw potential in the Kingpin's... tactics, but he was being too rash. If you work together, there is no way those Spiderlings can stand a chance."

"I've heard about your ways, Tombstone," Kraven pipes up, gaining everyone's attention. "My cellmates would talk about your adventures. Ripping apart small, local jails is a pleasant feat, and we were wondering when you would try the big one. How come it took so long?"

"We were gathering the perfect team," Lincoln explains. "Rykers isn't easy to penetrate, but luckily I made it work. If you get rid of those who get in our way, you will be the kings of New York and you won't have to worry about prison anymore."

"Not that I'm not thankful," Scorpion says with a hint of sarcasm, "but we've all been beaten before. It would still be one-on-one with the five of us."

"Luckily, I know how to tip the scale in our favor," he responds with a grin and nods to Hammer Head who adjusts the course to somewhere in Greenwich.

"Where the heck are... why are we landing here in the middle of the day?" Flint asks, seeing all of the people taking out their phones and recording their landing.

Not having to answer, Tombstone hops outside and meets up with Rhino who is only a little out of breath. Everyone lines up, eager to see who is also going to help in their endeavors. Morris is angry to see it's only a guy with unkempt hair. "This has got to be a joke," he says.

"Jokes are funny, Mr. Bench," the man responds, and four metal arms emerge from his back. Everyone's eyes widen as the arms lift the man off the ground as he continues, "And this is a serious matter."

"Oh my gosh, dude," Julia laughs as she takes a sip of her drink. "That's the worst joke I've ever heard."

Max can't contain his laughter, the noise ringing above the quiet volume of the television they have on for background noise. "Come on, you have to admit it was a little funny."

"You're going to give me a hangover before this gin does," she says, rolling her eyes.

"You really know your way around liquor," he points out.

"I work at a club. And... they let me drink from time to time," she admits. "I chugged a bottle of vodka once."

"No."

"Yes."

"An entire bottle?"

"It was a bad idea," she says. "But, now I know not to do it ever again."

"I'm taking this away from you," Max says teasingly as he reaches for her glass. "I'm cutting you off!"

"I literally only had one sip!" she laughs, dodging his attempts. When she pulls her arm away, he accidentally brings his fist down on her shoulder when he tries to grab her wrist and she yelps, "Ouch!"

"O-oh, I'm sorry!" he apologizes frantically. "Are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm fine. I can take a hit. It happens all the time." Her expression drops for just a second, but it was enough for Max to catch.

"It shouldn't, you know," he says softly, recoiling his arms to give her some space. "Is there... anything you want to talk about?" There is a long pause and he doesn't get an answer, Julia staring into her glass. He continues, "If you don't want to-"

"Max, do you ever..." she trails off, her chest starting to feel heavy. "Do you ever feel like running away?"

He doesn't answer at first, not knowing what to say. But, he thinks the best thing to do is tell her the truth. "No, not really. Do you?"

She presses her thumb against the rim of the glass until it turns white. "Um... I..." The quietness of the room makes her ears perk up. Looking for any distraction so she can change the subject. She focuses on the only other thing in the room, the television, and she pays attention to the reporter on the news. She doesn't have to hear what she is saying, the live footage telling it all. "Oh my..."

"Those are all-"

"Hell's Kitchen," Julia points out, watching in disbelief as six of their worst enemies throw cars around and buildings start crumbling down. "How did this happen?"

"Yeah. I thought they were all in prison," Max points out.

"I have to go," she says, grabbing her backpack and heading for the door.

"Woah, what? Are you insane?" He gets up, grabbing her arm to stop her. "Can you at least explain what your plan is? Don't tell me you're going to try and take on those guys yourself."

"My brothers are there, and I have to make sure they're okay," she lies. "Don't worry, I'm not stupid."

"Let me come with you!" he pleads.

"You're very sweet, but it's way too dangerous. Please, stay here," she says, opening the door. She runs out of the house, leaving Max worried and staring at the television.

"Boys?!" Julia yells as she enters her house. No one answers except her father as he walks down the stairs.

"They're at Ethan's, I think," he says. "Are you here to have a birthday dinner with your old folks?"

"Maybe later. I have to find my brothers," Julia says, sprinting out of the house.

Mr. Nikris shrugs and takes a sip of his midday coffee and says, "Nice to see you too, Julia."

Aqua Spider pulls her mask and gloves on once she's a good distance away from her house. She takes off her outer layer of clothes and slips her sweatshirt over her shoulders, starting to swing away. As she crosses the bridge into Manhattan, she webs her backpack to a post and pulls out her cellphone. "Come on, pick up!"

"Hello?"

"Ria, oh my gosh. Have you seen the news?"

"I have it on in the background, but I don't understand what you're..." her sister's voice trails off and Julia imagines she just noticed the screen. "Where is it happening?"

"Same place we fought Tombstone before. The edge of Hell's Kitchen. Try getting a hold of the boys - I'm already on my way."

"Give me fifteen minutes."

"You're gonna have to swing if you want to get there quickly," Aqua points out.

Maria pauses and she can hear a groan on the other side of the phone. "I'll zip low to the ground, don't worry. I will meet you there."

She hangs up the phone and Maria makes sure the stove is off along with the rest of her cooking equipment. She shuffles through her closet until she finds her Emerald Spider costume and struggles to put it on as fast as she can. Kylo paws at her legs with interest, but she puts her mask on and pulls her hair through the hole in the back saying, "No, you have to stay."

Emerald Spider does the best she can to not be seen as she gets out of the apartment, and luckily only a few people catch sight of her. She starts swinging below the light posts, and she lands on one in order to take out her phone. "This is Ethan, leave a message."

"Damn it. Ethan, check the news! Hell's Kitchen, we are going to need help." She tries John's and Andrew's phones but they have the same result. "Ugh, what on Earth can they be doing right now?"

"I have to grind this away for a few more minutes!" Ethan yells, knowing his brothers probably can't hear them. They all have sound proof headphones on as he uses a saw to chip away at the metal. All three of their phones lie on the table on the end of the room behind them, all having an unopened voicemail from Maria.

"Okay, it's going to be fine," Emmy says to herself as she continues to swing forward. "We can handle this. Totally."

She arrives at Hell's Kitchen and lands behind a building right before she could get to the edge where the water is. Peeking behind the wall, she sees four of the villains talking to each other as if they are having a nice run-in chat about the weather. "Scorpion, Doctor Octopus, Rhino, and Kraven. Piece of cake, two villains per Spider," she whispers to herself.

"Not quite," Aqua's voice says from above her, making her look up. She finds her sticking to the side of the building as she continues, "Sandman and Hydro-Man are back, too."

As if on cue, Sandman forms right by the group and starts talking to everyone. Emmy shudders and asks, "Where's Hydro-Man?"

"I saw him leap into the water. Hah, this'll be a fun fight," she responds, detaching herself from the wall and landing beside her sister. "Where are the boys?"

"They didn't answer their phones," Emmy explains.

"You're kidding."

"I wish. What are we supposed to do? Wait until they get here?" she asks.

"Says the one who's never patient," Aqua points out, leaning against the wall with her arms crossed.

"Hey! I'm just saying, there's no way the two of us can match the likes of six guys like that! It would probably be best if we waited and played our cards right."

"Or, maybe we can distract them with our cuteness," Aqua suggests jokingly.

"Ugh, this is so stupid. I mean, what are they even waiting for?" Emmy asks, pinching the bridge of her nose.

Before Aqua can say anything, Doc Ock creeps up behind them and answers for her, "We are waiting for you, of course."

Sandman, Rhino, Scorpion, Kraven, and even Hydro-Man forms next to the group, and they all have giant grins on their faces as they look down at the two girls.

"Ladies," Scorpion says with a small chuckle.

With wide eyes, Aqua raises a hand and pats her sister's shoulder while saying loudly, "You got this, right?" and turns a full 180, sprinting away.

"AQUA, DON'T LEAVE ME!" Emerald Spider yells. She reaches out for her sister when her spider sense goes off and someone snags her off the ground. "AHH!"

She is turned around and comes face-to-face with Rhino who puts his other hand on her head as if he wants to squash it. "I'm going to- agh!"

Emmy squirts webs into his eyes and then kicks his arm up, flipping and landing on her feet in a spider pose. "Sorry, I only go on dates with guys one at a time," she says, sliding between Rhino's legs before Kraven's spear could stab her.

Scorpion laughs darkly and jumps on the side of the building, his claws making dents in the brick. He runs, catching up with Aqua Spider and yells once he gets up to her, "Oh, no you don't!"

"Oh, yes I do!" she screams back right before his tail wraps around her neck. Her feet leave the ground and she finds herself dangling over the street about twelve stories high. "N-nice to see you again, Scorps!"

"Can't say the same. But, I will admit, I'm enjoying this," he hisses and makes his tail squeeze harder around her neck.

Desperately, she tries to shoot webs at his eyes, but he just rips them off with an annoyed expression. "Th-there goes m-my one and only trick..." she mutters, starting to actually lose oxygen.

"So, which will happen first?" Scorpion asks, pushing her chin up with his thumb. "Your lungs collapsing, or your neck snapping?"

"I think..." gasp "it will be..." gasp "you falling!" Using everything she has, she sways her body to the side so violently that Scorpion's feet detach from the wall and they plummet to the ground. They both crash onto the street, Aqua coughing as she struggles to get up. She holds onto her throat and leans against a nearby building, but is lifted off her feet again while this time surrounded by sand. "Oh, great. Hi, Flint."

"Long time, no see, Aqua," Flint says, making his hand bigger with sand.

"I don't remember you. Have we met before?" she teases.

"Halloween! I know you were there."

"Noooo! That was Beetle, you silly!"

Having enough of it, he tosses her into the air and punches her when she falls to his level again, making her zoom back to where she first saw the six villains. Thankfully, someone catches her. "How's it goin' Aqua?" Not thankfully, it's Hydro-Man.

"Really well, actually. I had this pain in my back and your buddy just cracked it for me," she lies swiftly. "Why don't you go and thank him for me? I have a show that comes on soon and I'd hate to miss the season finale."

"You want to leave so soon? You haven't even met everyone at the party yet," Morris says, drawing water from the Hudson. "At least let me give you a parting gift!"

With the added water, he is able to make his hands bigger and engulf her body just like he did to Ollie before, but this time he has no intention of letting her breathe. A few meters away, Emerald Spider hooks her hands around a light pole and stretches herself out so she's completely horizontal to the ground, swinging in a circle and kicking Kraven in the back. She lands, but doesn't get time to rest because her spider sense goes off and metal legs wrap around her ankles, another one tying her wrists together so she can't spray webs at Doctor Octopus. She struggles as she hangs upside down. "You're not the smartest, I see. Coming here without your full team," Otto says. Moving her face around with his real hand.

"And, you're out of hiding, I see," she points out, jerking her head to the side. "You should have stayed underground, Ock."

"Interesting choice of words," he responds, smiling, and slams her into the concrete. Otto raises her body up a few more times, the hole in the ground getting deeper each time Emmy makes contact with it.

She shakily tries to get up, but a metal leg slams onto her back and she falls once again, her head crashing against the rock. Dazed, she realizes that Ock is lifting her limp form in the air and he says, "Rhino, if you'd like to do the honors."

Her gaze is unfocused, and she sees three Rhinos charging at her and lowering their horns. As they get closer, the three turn into one as her eyes regain focus. She shoots webs at a tree and pulls herself free right before the horn could stab her sternum, and Doc Ock has to quickly block himself with his arms as Rhino runs into him instead. Emmy lands on a tree branch and tries to catch her breath, but Kraven throws a metal spear and the branch breaks, making her fall to the ground.

Kraven rolls her onto her back with his foot and presses his heel onto her throat. He swiftly yanks his spear out of the tree and points it between her eyes saying, "The hunt always belongs to Kraven. No matter how long it takes, I will come out on top."

"Y-yeah, with help!" she retorts, making him confused. "Six on two? H-hardly fair!"

He chuckles. "Splitting up the pack was not part of plan, but makes it all the more easier."

Emmy raises her hands to shoot webs at Kraven, but two of Doc's arms pin them to the ground and cover her shooters. He raises himself into her view behind Kraven and looks down at her as he says, "It's best not to struggle, Emerald Spider."

Her eyes widen, and Kraven lifts his spear up to stab her in the head, but pauses before it can pierce her mask. Everyone is confused until they notice a yellow web wrapped around the silver of the handle, and the spear is pulled out of his grasp. Otto and Kraven look toward the buildings just before they are both kicked hard in the face, Kraven by Olympic Spider and Doctor Octopus by Nitro Spider. They are sent flying to the edge of the Hudson in a daze.

Shadow Spider reaches down and helps Emmy stand up. He looks around and asks, "How many are there?"

"Six, and I wish you guys would answer your phones. We've been dying out here!" she responds. "Agh... I think Doc sprained my wrist."

"We were having way too much fun experimenting in the lab!" Ollie defends.

"Where's Aqua?" Nitro asks.

"Last I saw, Scorpion was chasing her into the city. I'm not sure where..." she trails off when she looks behind her and sees, from a good distance away, Hydro-Man suffocating the poor spider in his water grasp.

She gasps and steps forward to save her, but stops when she sees Aqua's hands burst through the top of Morris's. Hydro-Man's cocky expression turns confused as the spider climbs out of the trap, her head breaking through. She pulls herself up until her feet are free, and she stands on his hands. He stutters from how shocked he is, "H-how in the w-world..."

"I'm a water spider, bitch," Aqua says. She jumps just slightly and punches him across the face, water splashing everywhere. It feels like a real punch, so she guesses that walking on water = being able to hit Hydro-Man. She lands on the ground, looking at her hands surprised, and running over to her siblings. "Did you guys see that?!"

"It seems like you're the only one who can punch him," Nitro points out. "Anyway, I can't believe you two didn't wait for us to respond and come to help you."

"I was going to," Aqua says, shifting her gaze to Emmy, "but they found our hiding spot."

Doctor Octopus and Kraven start to get up, and Hydro-Man forms himself onto land once again. Rhino stomps over behind them, Scorpion and Sandman catching up on the Spiders' other side. Aqua stands a little behind Nitro, Emmy next to her, Ollie on Nitro's other side, and Shadow next to his twin. They all get into fighting stances and Aqua asks, "What's the plan?"

"Divide and conquer," Nitro says, taking his stingers out of the pack. "Knock them out one at a time, and take them off the field long enough for the police to come. We've beaten these guys before. Aqua, you're on Hydro-Man. Ollie, your webs are perfect for Doc's crazy arms. Em, you're the only one who can match Rhino's strength. Shadow, use your gadgets to keep Kraven busy. I'll quickly knock Scorpion out and find a way to deal with Sandman."

"I don't think so!" Scorpion's voice says from above them, but the Spiders don't find him in time. His tail droops down and snags Aqua off her feet, and she screams as she's pulled away from the group. Emerald Spider jumps to save her, but is blasted by a pillar of sand. Nitro looks behind him to make sure Emmy is alright, his spider sense going off too late as Doc Ock's metal arms wrap around his body and pull him off screen. Olympic Spider actually listens to his sense for once and dodges a spear thrown by Kraven, flipping away as daggers and a net are thrown to try and catch him. Shadow looks around him, not believing that his siblings were snagged by villains so easily, and Hydro-Man blasts him straight up into the air with water while he is distracted.

Emerald Spider raises her mask up just a bit to spit some sand out. She hears Flint say behind her, "Last time we saw each other, I was a nobody! Now, I have some powers of my own."

"And yet, you look just as dashing," she replies wittily, turning around and shooting webs at him.

He just stands there and absorbs them, saying with a smirk, "You're so cute when you think stupid plans like that are gonna work."

"Aww, you think I'm cute? I'm flattered!" she says, actually starting to blush under her mask. "Did you hear that, Rhino? Flint thinks I'm cute!"

Sandman looks to his side as the rampaging Rhino stomps up next to him. "Hmm, more like annoying bug."

He charges at her, but she swings out of the way before he can run into her. Rhino runs into a building and takes a piece of the wall off, chucking it at the green spider. Sandman blasts the back of it to make it go faster, and the added speed makes Emmy miscalculate the timing of her dodge. She gets scraped on the side, but skids to a stop in a spider pose. Rhino runs at her again, but this time she charges at him as well. At the last moment, she jumps over his head and flips, snagging her fingers under the rim of his helmet. As she lands, she flips him over her body and slams him into the ground. Emerald Spider dusts off her hands and turns to Flint right as he forms a giant fist and squashes her into the ground next to Rhino.

Shadow Spider webs the neck of a street light and swings in a loop around it, kicking Hydro-Man in the back of the head as he comes back down. Sadly, it doesn't really faze him as the guy turns to glare at him. "We've never met before. Let's not start on bad terms."

"Look at you being all hospitable, along with your punching, kicking, and splashing," Shadow retorts. "What's with the attitude?"

"I like to tenderize my spiders before I smash them. Makes it easier," Morris says with an evil grin.

Shadow rips a manhole cover off the ground and swings it in a circle before throwing it at his head. Morris dodges and they watch as it lands on Aqua instead. They both hear a distant, "OW!" and Shadow cringes while responding, "Sorry! My bad!"

Hydro-Man chuckles and forms into a small wave, crashing into his spider. Shadow makes an X with his arms over his face, but stands there confused when he just feels his costume get all wet. "What the heck?"

The water around him binds and gets between his armor and the fabric. It expands and starts to pop the metal off in different places. "Hey, dude!" he yells, webbing any metal he can catch and pulling it into his arms. "Not cool!"

"I'm trying to get to the heart of the problem," Morris says creepily, forming his face with water behind Shadow's shoulder.

He hears it and sucker punches him, but it doesn't do anything except make him annoyed. He tries looking around for anything he can use, but Morris forms fully behind him, sweeps him off his feet like a bride, and chucks him into the Hudson.

"Don't leave me out of it!" Hydro-Man says, diving into the water. He sees that Shadow is breaking out of the water so he grabs the back of his head and shoves his face back in. "You're not handling this as well as your sister, which I find to be quite satisfying."

"What do you... mean?" he asks sarcastically through gasps. "This is going... swimmingly."

The next time his head comes out of the water, Shadow webs the top of a light post and pulls himself free. Morris reaches out for him, but when he lands he yanks on his webs and makes the light break out of the ground, falling on his arm and severing his water hand from his body. Shadow feels his legs shaking from the lack of oxygen and he falls for a second to catch his breath.

Ollie is doing the best he can to dodge the projectiles, but those aren't really his thing. Kraven continues to throw endless amounts of daggers at him (somehow), but he traps them in his webs by bending them around the handles. "Hey. thanks for the weapons, Krave!"

He grabs onto his webs and uses them as whips with daggers attached to keep Kraven away from him. The hunter does a few backflips until his back hits a wall. He ducks to avoid a dagger and then runs up the wall a bit, flipping and landing behind the spider. Ollie spins to try and catch him with his webs, but Kraven takes advantage of the situation, getting close to him, and kicking him hard in the back. His webs detach from his wrists, so Kraven picks them up. "No, thank you."

"Oh... crap!" Olympic Spider pushes himself off the ground and becomes airborne right as Kraven whips the ground where he used to be, the knives embedding into the pavement.

Before he starts to fall, Ollie webs the floor on both sides of Kraven and pulls himself down, landing on the guy instead. He jumps away to gain some space and perches on a tree branch while Kraven gets up and growls, "I've grown tired of your webs, boy."

He takes the makeshift whip with knives attached and tries to catch Ollie in it, but he jumps to the side with a flip and shoots webs at the man's face, yanking him down as he lands. "Gee, why so cynical? You only think about yourself, Kraven. I love my webs."

"Did you just call him sinister?" Nitro asks as he is thrown to the ground right next to Ollie. "What's with you and the good villain names? The Sinister Six has a nice ring to it - AGH!" He is snatched by another octopus leg and lifted off the ground.

"I said cynical, but that works, too," Ollie says to himself as Kraven gets back up and starts fighting him again.

"Ah, there you are, Olympic Spider," Sandman says as he forms next to the other villain. "I had a present for ya."

Ollie is hit with a blast of sand and he whines, "Why me? This isn't fair! I've never even punched you, man!"

"Ollie!" Nitro yells and shoots his webs at his brother. Olympic Spider grabs on and Nitro yanks back (while still being in Otto's grasp), freeing the colorful spider from the sandtrap.

"Thanks, bro!" he says, swinging away but Ock catches him before he gets too far.

Both Nitro and Ollie are lifted up by their throats by octopus arms, and the doctor fixes his glasses upon his face as he looks at them. "Not so tough now, are you?"

"Nitro... I think these guys hate us for some reason," Ollie says through gasps of air.

"Really? What gave you that idea?" the older spider asks sarcastically before they are both slammed into the ground.

Doctor Octopus forms two needles in his metal arms and plunges them at the siblings' chests, but black webs catch the legs from behind him. As he turns to see what is happening, Shadow says, "No you don't, you cephalopod!"

Otto outmatches him in strength and forces his arms forward, pulling Shadow through the air toward him. Right as he flies by, he uses another arm to smoke him across the face. Shadow shakes it off and crawls like a spider to be in the same pose as his brothers. "You okay, Shadow?" Nitro asks.

"Yeah, just soaked," he says, gesturing to his suit that is dripping with water. "We need a way to-" Before he can finish his sentence, Hydro-Man blasts water out of his hands and sends him flying back.

"I'm not done with you yet, Shadow. I was just starting to get to know you!" Morris says and chases after his prey.

"Okay, Ollie, stay here with me. We have to take out Octo-maniac first. Got that?" Nitro turns to where he thought Olympic Spider was, but then sees he is already running off to continue his fight with Kraven. "Ugh," he sighs in annoyance and once again gets ripped off the ground by some metal legs.

"For a group of superhero siblings, you sure don't work together well," Ock informs, ripping Nitro's stingers out of his hands as he slashes at him.

"Hence the word: siblings. We're not a marching band, Otto," he says sternly, getting annoyed by these arms. He shoots webs at a tree branch and breaks it off, pulling it into his hands and using it like a baseball bat to whack across his face. "You know, I thought you were cool before you turned into this eight limbed jerk!"

"And whose fault was that?" Ock asks, making one of his arms sneak behind the spider and catch him around the torso. He pulls his back to the ground and pins his arms to his side. "I've seen the footage, I know you were there."

"Yeah, and so were four other people," Nitro reminds him, recalling the time they saved Ollie from his dissection lab. "So, why do you hate me the most?"

Ock's arms tighten around his ribs, making his breaths become quicker. Otto holds up one of his stingers and shows it to Nitro while saying, "You're a man of science, I can tell. First, you get involved with the Jackal who used to be a profound scientist, and now you make weapons from Zolpidem. A simple Carbon, Oxygen, Hydrogen, and Nitrogen structure for sleeping."

"So, you figured out where I got my name. Good for you!"

"Men of science like us," Otto continues, ignoring him. He lowers himself down so that his face is only inches away from Nitro's. "Men like us have a lot of similarities. You're the leader of your group, I'm the leader of mine. Let's hypothesize, who do you think will break first?"

"This isn't an experiment, Doctor. Call off your lackeys!"

"Wrong answer." Doctor Octopus stabs Nitro's stinger at his head, but it penetrates the ground instead because he jerks away just in time.

He manages to squeeze one of his hands through the coil of Doc's arms and shoots it at his eyes, making him loosen his hold around him enough to slither out. "I've been stabbed by those before," Nitro says, picking up his stinger. "It's not fun."

He is about to attack when his spider sense goes off and he dodges something thrown at him, the object soaring past and hitting the water instead. Once it lands, he realizes it's Aqua Spider. Scorpion leaps over his head and rushes at her.

"Get over here, Aqua," Scorpion says in a singing voice, trying to coax her onto the land.

"No, I'm fine here. Nice and safe away from you," she responds, crossing her arms. "You can just go back to jail now."

"Aww, but I'm having so much fun!" He leaps up using all of his limbs, and somehow manages to get right on top of Aqua.

If she didn't have super strength, she would have drowned with the added weight. However, it doesn't stop his claws from digging into her skin as he tries to stay above water by latching onto her. "This is so much worse!" she yells, trying to reach for the land.

Scorpion thrashes around, clawing at her so much that her suit becomes ripped all over along the torso. His hand gets caught in her hood, which actually gives her a moment to breathe, and she webs the top of a light post to pull them both to the land.

"Give me a second, I'm dying over here," Aqua says breathlessly.

Scorpion doesn't hold up that request and lunges, grabbing her and throwing her to the ground. "Already out of it? I feel like I just got here."

"Unlike you, I don't have the luxury to sit in a cell and take naps all day!" she snaps.

He wraps his hands around her neck and squeezes hard. "Are you calling me lazy?! Remind me who put me in there! TELL ME!"

Her eyes starting to water, Aqua looks past his head and sees a loose piece of concrete big enough to hopefully knock him out. She shoots her webs at it and pulls it at them, hitting the back of his head. The spider gasps for breath and gets up, quickly turning around as she hears Olympic Spider scream.

"Ollie!" she yells, reaching her arm out in front of her instinctively. He is a long ways away, but everyone pauses to see what happened.

Kraven finally catches the young spider in his whip and it wraps around his arms and upper body a few times. He catches the other end and yanks on them both in order to tighten it around him, four daggers that were attached stabbing him in different places. "Agh!" he screams and falls to his knees.

Aqua initiates her legs to start running to him, but feels a sudden and sharp pain through her back. Her eyes widen as she realizes what happened, and she turns slowly to see Scorpion's tail extended over his shoulder and the end being pulled out of her back, coated in blood.

"AQUA, NO!" Nitro yells, using all of his strength to pull a tree down with his webs. It cuts Otto off from him and slows him down enough to get to his sister and Scorpion.

Emerald Spider rolls out of the way of a punch before leaping up and socking Rhino so hard in the face that he goes down. She runs as fast as she can, feeling like she has even more added strength due to her anger, until she gets to Kraven. Not thinking, she pushes him full force into the wall behind him while yelling, "Out of the way!" very sternly. Kraven lets go of his whip which allows her to scoop Ollie up in her arms as delicately as she can.

That doesn't stop him from screaming in pain. "Ow, no, stop!"

"I have to, I'm so sorry. I have to," Emmy says softly. She looks behind her and sees Sandman, Doctor Octopus, and Kraven rushing at them. "This is going to hurt," she whispers and starts running deeper into Hell's Kitchen.

Nitro does his best to carry Aqua and swing away, but it's hard to do with one hand. Plus, he's being pursued by Rhino and Scorpion. Luckily, before the green arachnid can snag him out of the air, Shadow comes up from behind him and kicks him away. "I got your backs, just go!" he yells, swatting anything that is being thrown at the spiders.

"Where are we going?" Emmy yells as she runs, hoping Nitro can hear her.

"First, we gotta lose these guys. Any ideas?" Nitro asks.

"I got it!" Shadow yells, dodging a Kraven dagger. "On my mark, go left!"

In midair, Shadow Spider spins around and takes two grenades off his belt. He presses the button in the middle and throws them. They go off right before Morris can grab him with a giant water hand, and a black gas sprays out over the street. Bystanders cough and complain when they can't get good footage on their phones because of the smoke, and Otto yanks his goggles off since he can't see anything. "Crystalized air particles. Not lethal, but this isn't going to clear up for a few hours," he informs.

"They said they went left," Scorpion presses, eager to catch up with them.

"I don't take them for armatures," Otto argues. "They probably went somewhere else to draw us away. Fall back and regroup."

"But-"

"I said," Octavius cuts Kraven off. "Fall back."

Indeed, they went to the right instead of left and hid inside a nearby hardware store. After a few seconds of silence, Nitro looks down at Aqua and says to the others, "We need to patch them up quickly."

"Guys, I'm... fine," Aqua says breathlessly, struggling to stay awake.

"No, we need to get them somewhere safe so they can heal, then catch those guys before they destroy the city," Emmy argues.

"That is literally the worst idea ever," Shadow says. "We were getting our asses kicked out there when there were five of us. Three going into battle? Come on."

"We need a plan," Nitro says sarcastically. "Stop trying to fight these guys like how you did last time. I know you've done this before, but it wasn't easy."

"And they've had a long time to plan how they'd beat us while sitting in prison," Emmy points out.

"Exactly," Nitro agrees. "But, healing first. We can go to my lab."

"How are we gonna get there? That's in the middle of Midtown," Shadow asks.

"The subway," Emmy suggests. "I know it sounds dumb, but it's safer than swinging right now, and it will be better than a cab."

Nitro and Shadow look at each other, and the next thing they know they are getting out of the subway. Nitro sprints out of the train with Aqua in his arms while yelling, "That felt so weird!"

"But it's so much better than swinging!" Emmy yells back as she runs after him. Shadow takes up the rear, waving at people as they yell their names. Thankfully, the run to Nitro's school lab isn't very eventful and they get there in no time.

A few students notice the spiders running into the laboratory building and mutter to each other, but the five heroes could care less right now. They burst into the room and Nitro sets Aqua on a table, running to try and find a first aid kit. Emmy pulls up a stool and helps Ollie sit down, knowing she has to get these daggers out of him. "It's going to be okay," she says.

"Just leave them there!" Olympic Spider yells, starting to cry.

"I'm going to have to take them out at some point, but I'll be very gentle." Emmy observes the situation and tries to see if there is one dagger that can be removed easily. There is one in each upper arm, one in the right side of his ribs, and the last one in the left side of his lower stomach. The amount of blood is surprisingly minimal, probably because the knives are still in his body. "Okay," she says breathlessly, holding his hands with one of hers. "You can do this, you hear me?"

Ollie nods, unable to say anything, and squeezes her hand as her other one takes the handle of the knife in his arm. Before she can do anything, the door opens and the five spiders freeze. Nitro rounds the corner with a first aid kit and feels like he's going to puke when he sees who it is. "D-Doctor Connors?"

"The Spiderlings?" the doctor says, not believing what he's seeing. "Oh my God." He notices the two that are wounded and closes the door behind him, hurrying up to the table where Aqua is. "What happened?"

"Six very dangerous villains escaped prison, and we had to flee," Nitro explains rapidly. "I know a man who makes equipment for me, so I thought it would be our best bet if we came here."

"You mean my intern, Ethan," Connors says, grabbing his cellphone. "I'll call him."

"No!" Nitro yells. "Uh, I already tried. He didn't answer."

"We thought it would be for the best anyway, since we don't want anyone to get caught up in this mess. Just in case the villains find us," Emmy says quickly.

"I need to call the police at least!" Connors argues.

"Direct them to Hell's Kitchen where we were fighting. If they catch up with the six, it'll buy us some time," Shadow suggests.

"Okay, I'm on it," the doctor says with a nod. He goes to the corner of the room to make the call while the Spiderlings try to figure out how to help Aqua and Ollie.

"Here, I have anesthetics," Nitro says. He fills a syringe with a clear liquid and inserts it into Ollie's arm, avoiding the dagger. The young spider's breathing goes from quick and small to more of a normal pace after a few seconds of the liquid going into his veins. Niro pulls it out and says, "Give that a minute or two and then you can take the daggers out. I'll try my best to patch him up after."

"Ugh... ribs..." Ollie says, his eyes starting to get heavy. "Hurt..."

"Don't go to sleep," Shadow orders, crouching in front of him. He takes Ollie's chin and forces him to look at his eye lenses. "Focus, dude. You want to beat up Kraven, right?"

"Mhmm..."

"Then stay awake."

"I just got off the phone with them. Luckily, they were nearby and could be here any second," Connors says, taking a bag out of the kit next to Nitro.

"Wait, I thought I said to direct them to the bad guys!" Shadow says in a panicked tone.

"Don't worry, it's just-" Connors is cut off by the door opening once again, this time Gwen and Captain Stacey entering with urgency.

"Gwen!" Emmy says happily and gets up to hug her, but then remembers that would be weird. "Um, I think you should look at Aqua first. She lost a lot of blood."

"What was she hit by?" Gwen asks, getting straight to work. She puts her hair up in a bun and gloves on before opening her pack to get the necessary tools.

"Stabbed by Scorpion's tail," Nitro explains.

The doctor in training lifts Aqua's sweatshirt over her head with the help of Nitro to see the damage. There are many scratches along her shoulders which are minor compared to the stab wound in her back. "These look like claw marks," Gwen points out.

"They are. I saw Scorpion trying to stay afloat on her in the Hudson," Shadow says.

"Great, nothing like an open wound in those waters. They're bound to get infected," Gwen says, spraying some sterilization stuff on her shoulders and back. "Speaking of that, you need to get those knives out of Olympic Spider before he gets infected, too."

"No, I kinda like this. No need to fix something that isn't broken," Ollie says nervously.

"You'll be okay. Just look at Shadow," Emmy orders, going back to the position she was in before.

Shadow holds his brother's hands and makes eye contact while Emerald Spider pulls out the two that are in his arms. Thankfully, he doesn't feel those that much and only experiences some discomfort. "That wasn't that- AHHHG!" Ollie screams as she takes out the one in his lower stomach. "OW! What happened to not feeling it?"

"These are deeper," Emmy reasons.

Doctor Connors comes over with some gauze and stitches, starting to patch up his arms. Somehow, he is very skilled with stitching someone using only one hand. "Nitro didn't use that much anesthesia, so these are going to be a bit more painful. He probably didn't want to knock you out."

"Ah, geez..." Stacey mutters, covering his mouth slightly as he watches Emmy take out the last dagger. Ollie's screams remind him of what happened in the sewers when he was kidnapped by Doctor Octopus. "Was this Otto?"

"Him, Kraven, Scorpion, Sandman, Hydro-Man, and Rhino," Shadow lists off.

"The police were so busy with the breakout that we didn't know..." the captain starts, but his voice trails off. He can't believe that many powerful, evil people somehow got out of prison at the same time and did this to the Spiderlings. "They didn't hold back."

"Not at all," Nitro breathes, relieved that Ollie has now been untangled from his own yellow webs. "But, we can do it. We just have to be smart about it."

"Smart? Hah." Everyone turns to the table where Aqua is, seeing her chuckle as she tries to prop herself up on her elbows.

"Woah, calm down there, Spider," Gwen says, pressing her back so she's against the table. "Don't break the stitches I just made."

"No promises," she jokes. "So, what's with the party?"

"The doctor and the Staceys here helped patch us up after we were almost brutally defeated by the Sinister Six," Nitro explains.

"The Sinister SIx?" Captain Stacey asks.

"Ollie came up with it earlier. Anyway, once everyone is able to stand up then we have to get back out there and stop them," Nitro continues.

"Uh, no!" Gwen orders, putting her used stuff in her backpack. "Let the police handle it! They'll kill you!"

"We're clearly not that lucky," Aqua says with a laugh. She carefully sits up and dangles her legs over the table. "What do you have in mind, bro?"

"Minimal fighting, take them off the board one at a time. But, first, we have to lure them," he starts, pausing to look at Aqua.

Everyone follows his gaze and her eyes widen. She points to herself and asks, "Why are you all looking at me?"

"I HAD HIM!" Kraven yells, lifting a motorcycle and throwing it into the side of a building. "In my hands. I had that Olympic Spider!"

"Why don't you yell about it even louder?" Flint asks sarcastically. He takes a bite of a burrito he stole and leans against a mailbox.

"Yeah? Well, I had Aqua. I doubt she made it far," Scorpion growls.

"I will prove who's stronger!" Rhino yells. "Emmy, come out! Get over here already!"

"Maybe we should have hostages or something. That'll get those spiders out of hiding."

"That's not a bad idea, Morris," Doc Ock says, perking up at the thought. He starts to think of a plan, looking at the horizon as the sun begins to set. "We've been looking for them for hours now, and it's about time to take matters into our own hands."

"I like the sound of tha-" Scorpion is cut off by someone calling out to them.

"Yoo-hoo!" Aqua Spider waves at them, crossing her legs as she leans against a building. "Can you boys help me? I think I'm lost!"

"I got her!" "No, I got her!" "You kidding me? I got her!" "Out of my way, she's mine!"

Scorpion bursts past the group but is outrun by the Rhino. He lowers his head as he chases the blue spider, and she runs in a straight line until she gets right by the water. Aqua makes a hard right before Rhino can hit her, and he goes to turn as well but loses his footing and stumbles, falling face first into the Hudson. Emmy comes into view, holding the end of her white webs and tugging on it, showing off how it was tied to a light post which was used as a tripline. "Whoops. Sorry, hun!" she says teasingly. She makes sure Rhino isn't getting out of the water before running away to help her siblings.

"Where did you go Aqua Spider?" Morris taunts in a singy voice.

"In here, water man!" The same tone (but this time in Aqua's voice) comes from the inside of an open building. Hydro-Man laughs darkly before running inside, ignoring how dimly lit it is.

He hears footsteps so he turns and follows the noise, coming up to a door. He tries to kick it down, but it's sturdier than it looks, so he turns into water and flows underneath it instead. Someone on the other side holds a bucket against the bottom of the door and scoops him up, putting a lid on top before he can escape. "Hey!" Morris yells, noticing that he just went into a trap. He tries to expand himself but the person throws him into a freezer, and he turns to ice instantly.

"Thanks for letting us use your super freezer, ice cream man," Doctor Connors says as he shuts the door on Morris.

"Anything for you and the Captain," the ice cream man says, giving Stacey a fist bump.

"Morris, where'd you go?!" Sandman yells, not realizing that his partner went into a building. He turns down another street and falls into a construction zone. "Ah, come on!"

"Timber!" Ollie yells, pushing a truck over that's filled with cement. Emmy helps him out and they give each other a high five when Flint turns to rock. "See ya, Emmy. I have a doctor's appointment." He waves and jumps away, Emmy directing the incoming cops to apprehend Flint and Aleksei.

Kraven sniffs the air and wipes his hand against a tree, licking it afterward. "Come out, spider. I'm not finished with you yet."

"I have some tricks up my sleeve, too," Shadow days, falling out of the tree and onto Kraven's shoulders. He fights to try and throw him off, but the spider takes a chain off his belt and stretches it out. It becomes magnetized, and attracts all of Kraven's weapons so it sticks to the chain. Shadow throws it behind him into the custody of the police and drops off Kraven's shoulders, sweeps his feet out from under him, and shoots webs so he is hanging upside down under the tree.

"That one was for Ollie," he says sternly, flicking Kraven's nose as he walks away.

"I GOT YA!" Scorpion yells once he catches up to Aqua. He chases her up a building and onto the large window of Fisk Tower.

"Do you?" she asks. "I thought you had me last time! I must be hard to kill."

Scorpion grumbles and stabs his tail at her head, but she tilts it to the side and it gets stuck in the window glass instead. He makes a surprised and worried expression, which gives her enough time to grab onto the arch of his tail and swing under it, kicking him in the face. Scorpion falls to the ground in the arms of the police and Aqua wipes her forehead, starting to feel the pain in her back again. She looks behind her to see if she can see anything, but makes close, direct eye contact with Wilson Fisk who is right on the other side of the window. She tilts her head, waves, and does a backflip, freefalling until she almost gets to the pavement then swings away.

"Gargan, Bench, Marko! Anyone, can you read me?!" Doctor Octopus yells into his earpiece, annoyed. "Damn it!"

"Yo, Doc!" Olympic Spider says, making him spin around hastily. He doesn't get any time to react as all four of his metal arms are bound together thanks to Ollie's special webs.

Nitro leaps above him and with one stroke, cuts the ends off of all Doc Ock's arms using his stingers. "No, NO! I can't believe this!" Otto yells. "You're all insignificant little- mph!"

Nitro webs his mouth to keep him from talking and ties his arms to his side. "Remember when you asked me which team would pull through in the end?" Nitro asks, and all of the Spiderlings swing next to him. "Face it. You can pin every prisoner in Rykers against us and we will always come out on top. You know why?"

"MMMMPPPHHHH!" Otto tries to yell, but can't get any words out through the web gag.

Captain Stacey, Gwen, Doctor Connors, the news reporters, and all the cops surround them as Nitro finishes, "Because we're unstoppable."
