Chapter 8
Hey guys! So, updates in here are going to be a bit slower now, I've got important stuff coming up in my life, and I need to prioritise. I'm sorry ;-; Anyway, here's the next chappie! Read AU at the end. Enjoy! Colin and bestie Mitch on top :3
-All in Seto POV-
Four weeks had gone by since Chase reconciled with Jerome and Mitch, and things were looking good.
Colin and Mitch had become, as the little guy predicted, best friends, almost as close as Ty and I.
I was just over twelve weeks pregnant, and let's just say... shit was getting weird.
I felt really cranky and arsey one minute, the next I'm super hyper and excited, but I also get increasingly, well, down.
Brice said it was probably the pregnancy hormones, which Chase told us would be ten times worse since I'm male - and on top of that hardly any of my jeans fit!
I was standing in our bedroom, in front of the mirror, struggling to button up the top of my favourite pair of jeans, but no matter what I did the fucker wouldn't do up!
Tears pricked my eyes as I let out a frustrated scream, burying my face in my hands, topless, with my jeans still undone standing in front of the mirror.
The door creaked open, and I looked up, seeing a little bob of vertical blonde hair as Brice poked his head through the door, looking around until his eyes landed on me.
He looked me in the eyes through the mirror silently, as more and more tears began to stream down my face.
God dammit! Why the hell was I so big, who the hell did Brice have to see me like this, all crying and pathetic again, like all those years ago? I haven't been this self loathing since-
Two arms wrapped around me from behind, cutting off my internal hatred instantly, the warmth around me bringing me back into focus.
I opened my watery eyes, which I didn't remember closing, and looked into Brice's eyes through the mirror, his chin resting on my left shoulder and his eyes full of concern and sympathy.
He smiled at me, nuzzling my cheek, which made me smile slightly. He always knew how to bring me up when I get in one of my 'grey moods' as he calls them.
He pecked my cheek and sighed, a small smile lingering on his face as he looked at me softly.
"What's up baby? Why are you crying? he asked, placing his hands on my tummy and rubbing lightly. I closed my eyes, placing my hands over his, feeling safe in his arms.
My husband, the father of my child, the love of my life. He was my rock, and I'd feel lost without him.
Damn I'm emotional today.
I gave Brice a weak smile, sniffling, then leaned my head back, resting it on his form strong chest.
"I'm good now. I was just annoyed because I'm too fat to fit in my favourite jeans." I muttered with a frown, looking down at my belly.
Brice furrowed his brow, and removed his hands, turning me around to face him.
"You're not fat, baby, that's our little Spud growing in there, not fat. Here, feel." he said, putting my hand on my stomach and pressing down gently.
Instead of feeling the soft, squishy pudge I was expecting, I felt a firm bump, and my eyes widened.
Brice grinned, rubbing his thumb over my knuckles, my hand still resting over my tummy.
I beamed, holding my belly preciously. Our little Spud. It's still so hard to believe.
I suddenly flung my arms around Brice's neck, pressing my lips against his, tears of happiness this time coursing down my cheeks.
Damn, these hormones are turning me into a PMSing teenager.
Brice chuckled, and hugged me back, smiling into the kiss. I pulled back and grinned at my husband, then giggled, burying my face in his chest, cheeks flushed.
I don't even know anymore.
Fucking hormones.
Brice pulled me back, gripping the hem of my jeans. He smiled, a fond twinkle in his eye.
"How about you borrow a pair of mine for now, until you get some later while you're at the mall with the Mitch, Colin and Ty, maybe even get some maternity pants?" he suggested, beaming, and I nodded.
I quickly pulled away from his embrace, shimmying out of my too tight jeans, then skipped over to the dresser, pulling out the tightest pair of jeans Brice owned. Hopefully they wouldn't be too big on me.
I found a black pair and quickly went back over to a mildly amused looking Brice, who stood watching me in my bacon boxer, clutching the jeans. What? Man knows what he loves.
I was just about to turn away from Brice, when I caught my side reflection in the mirror and froze.
"Brice." I whispered shakily, dropping the jeans in shock.
"What?! What's wr-" Brice began, worriedly, the. Stopped, also gawking at me in the mirror.
A small, but very clear bump protruded from my belly, about two fingers out from normal.
I hadn't noticed this before and now, our little Spud was starting to show, proudly sticking out from my stomach.
Brice walked up to me, pressing a kiss on my nose, before crouching down and kissing the bump, hands either side of it, his soft lips lingering there.
I felt a warm wetness on my skin, and looked down to see silent tears rolling down Brice's face.
I gasped, threading my fingers through his thick blonde hair, running my hands through it lightly.
"O-oh... Seto..." Brice whispered against my skin, his electric blue eyes gazing up at me, filled with love, and shining. "I love you so much, so so much."
I reached out my hand for him, which he took, and pulled him up into a kiss, soft and passionate. "I love you too." I murmured against his lips, feeling him grin into the kiss.
His hands didn't leave my stomach, and we eventually pulled back, the fluttering in my tummy back, making me grin.
"I've got to get dressed or we'll never leave this room." I sighed, picking up my - Brice's - jeans and slipping them on, satisfied that they would stay up without a belt.
Brice chuckled and nodded, giving me one last peck, before turning towards the door.
"Colin, Mitch and Ty will be here in ten minutes to go take you to the mall." he called as he left, causing me to snap to attention and hurry up.
Couldn't miss this day out at all! Colin wanted to spend 'girl time' with us while our men stayed at ours to chat, and we went shopping for the baby. Oh god, I really am turning into a girl!
I slipped on a plain tshirt and one of Brice's hoodies. It smelt like him, and I had made it my mission to slowly steal all of my mans hoodies - and it was working.
I grabbed my wallet and walked into the hallway just as the door bell rang. At least they used the doorbell this time.
"That the guys Brice, I'll get it!" I called, and hurried to the door, swinging it open.
A high pitched squeal was heard as Colin twirled in, dragging Mitch with him, and amused looking Jerome and Chase watching as they entered after.
Adam soon bounded in after them, jumping on the couch with a yelp, while Ty casually followed, shaking his head and grinning.
"Hey Seto. Ready to head out?" he asked, and I laughed, nodding.
"Mitch! Colin! Let's get moving!" I shouted behind me, turning to wait for the duo.
Mitch hopped down from Jerome's shoulders, after kissing him quickly on the cheek, rushing over.
Colin squealed, again, waving to Chase and blowing him a kiss as he raced around to us, grabbing Mitch's hand and followed us out the door, shutting it with a slam.
"I'm so excited for this! I know this adorable and I mean adorable little shop with the cutest baby outfits in the world! Oh, but you don't know the gender. Doesn't matter, just get unisex, and their Winnie the Pooh range is amazing!" Colin babbled, ranting about baby stuff and this book cafe we just had to try, as well as letting us know how he thought Chase would look sexy in ass-less chaps.
Mitch listened the entire time, keeping up the conversation animatedly as we walked to the car, Ty and I in the front, while those two ranted in the back.
I slipped behind the wheel - I finally got my license thank god - and started the car, beginning the journey to the mall.
I stopped at some road work traffic lights, and glanced over to Ty, who had been quiet, and had a slightly deflated look on his face. I frowned.
"You ok TyTy?" I asked quietly, so the others wouldn't hear. He sighed, offering me a forced smile?
"Yeah, just... all this talk of baby stuff. It's hard, you know?" he croaked, running a hand through his hair.
I mentally facepalmed, thinking about Colin and his big mouth, and reached over, rubbing his shoulder comfortingly.
"I'm sorry Ty. I know it's hard on you, but everything will be ok. If you want I can ask Colin to tone it down a bit on the baby thing." I offered, putting my hand back on the steering wheel as the light turned green. Ty shook his head.
"Nah, it's ok. Let him have that. It'll get some, taking used to, but I'll be fine." he whispered, an honest smile on his face.
I returned the smile, facing the road again and pulling into the mall cat park a few minutes later.
I paid and displayed then we all made our way in, Colin once again babbling, clinging onto Mitch back like a baby monkey. Good job he was cute or he'd be six feet under by now.
"Hey, I want to get some new jeans, let's go in there and get them first." I said pointing to the shop, and they agreed, Colin dismounting Mitch and prancing in front, while Mitch, Ty and I followed, heading into the shop after him.
"So, Colin seems to have taken quite a shine to you," Ty remarked to Mitch, watching said cutie flit from rack to rack, pulling out flamboyant and often outrageous looking clothes.
Mitch chuckled, watching Colin softly as he went about his hunt, as I pulled out a few pairs of maternity jeans - thankfully this store had them for both men and women.
"Well, we kinda bonded over Chase hurting us really. We both had some pretty bad stuff done to us, but Colin had been in love with him for years. Colin had a bad past with guys, and once Chase got past the 'hit the guy I like' phase and they started talking, well, the rests history. He's like a less moronic version of Adam really. He can be rather cunning when he wants to be."
I nodded, putting the jeans in my basket, and grabbed Ty, who had been quiet all day. I was tired of having my best friend sad, so I decided to do something about it.
I dragged him towards the baby section, yelling at Mitch to watch Colin, and I felt Ty stiffen a bit as we approached the tiny outfits.
I stopped I front of the unisex onesies, watching as his face turned pale, then a pained expression flashed across his features.mi sighed, taking his hands in mine.
"Please, Ty, be strong. I need you to be there for me through this, Spud needs you to help me, heck, Adam absolutely depends on you and your positivity to make his day! I'm begging you, as your best fried, as your brother, to get through this and be the best godfather Spud has ever had." I said firmly, needing Ty to reach acceptance and feel better.
Ty's head snapped up, eyes wide and shining, mouth parted slightly in shock, unshed tears in his eyes.
"I-I'm the godfather?" he croaked, face lighting up. I giggled and nodded, hugging him tightly.
He sobbed onto my shoulder, hugging me ado just as tight, although careful of my bump. He pulled back, wiping his eyes, with a huge smile on his face.
"I'm going to be strong Seto, not just for me but for you all. I love you bro." he choked, ruffling my hair shakily.
I grinned, glad that the old Ty was coming back.
Just as I was about to ask him which baby onesie to get, there was a bloodcurdling screech, and both of our blood ran cold. Colin.
Oh nos! Poor Ty, still hung up over the infertility thing. And what's up with CBear?! Find out next time. Now for the serious bit. Well, as I said earlier, updates may slow due to bust times ahead. I may post oneshots instead of chapters or be quiet for a bit, I don't know yet, but don't badger me for updates. It'll stress me out and then, just, no. That aside, I hope you enjoyed this chapter! Luvs yas bubs! Laika out.
