18. shady boy.
A/N: I feel like I won a trophy or something because I've finished another book *chokes* And this may be annoying (since I asked this like 10000x) before but please check out Forbearance, I'm proud of that book because my sister and I wrote that shit together.
Aoi's POV
"Yoko seems like a brat." I muttered under my breath and heaved an exasperated sigh. "Looks like the type to cry over spilt milk, delusional as hell and she even left me hanging after I teleported with her to Dee-Han. I mean, yes, she said thank you but she's obviously using me to get together with Jimin or some shit. She couldn't verse my bitchiness though, she isn't even close." I continued to explain to Rina.
"So being a bitch is a competition now?" Rina asked.
"I was obviously kidding at the bitch part, you idiot," I rolled my eyes. "For some reason I don't really like her."
"Yeah, you say that but do you have any idea about who she actually is, though?" Rina gave me a short glance and lifted her head up, swinging her feet from side to side. "I mean, you're very judgmental, really." She chortled.
"That's the thing Rina, what I know is enough. I don't want to know more about that half-Japanese girl who moved to our school that happened to be Jimin's ex. Who the hell even cares if she knows me or not, I don't know why she even bothered telling me about him. She probably left Japan for some drama and left Jimin hanging, and then she came back and accepted him like it was a game to her or something."
"Wow, you really are a judgmental bitch aren't you?" She sighed and immediately stood up, sweeping off the dust on her skirt. "Anyways, I want to go. Go ask Jimin more about your doubts or any trashtalk about his ex-girlfriend. Do you want me to call him and meet up wi-"
"How do you even have him on speed dial? Seriously, is he never not free? It always seems as if he isn't busy or anything." I asked, grabbed her hand and was about to pull her down to the sit next to me again, but she removed her hand away from my grip as if she was going to turn into stone if I held her land for longer.
"Jimin is always there when it comes to you and that's all you need to know. So yeah, I'll call him now, since you miss him so much." She giggled and pulled out her phone from her bag. I was too lazy to give her a sassy reply, so I just rolled my eyes at her and comfortably leaned my back on the bench.
She quickly dialed Jimin's number and after that, she told him to come here to join me and my rants about people. To be honest, it's starting to get a little weird because she used to handle my rants, like legit from day one, but now she just tells me to hold my rants until Jimin comes.
After a few minutes of fiddling with our hands, looking at different directions aimlessly, and avoiding eye contact; a thought randomly popped up in my head. I didn't hesitate to blurt out what went through my mind.
"Oi, Rina." I called out bluntly, she then turned around and raised an eyebrow. "Did something.. perhaps.. happen between Joo-eun and Jimin before? Vague question, I know, but if something did happen, what was it?"
Her eyes widened in panic, "Holy shit, what the hell has she been telling you?!" She exaggeratedly gasped. My thoughts then scattered around my brain, making me confused. "Joo-eun shouldn't have said anything like that! Ugh, that bitch.." Her voice faded into a frustrated mutter.
"Wait what? What the hell was it?" I asked immediately. She repeatedly then shook her head and formed a cross with her arms. I scrunched up my nose in irritation, what an idiot, did she really think I wouldn't be curious?!
"Oops, nevermind! Jimin is here anyway!" She dismissed our small talk (that wasn't even a talk) and literally hurried off to the bus station. She didn't even say bye or anything. She just left like I didn't ask a critical question about what may have happened between Jimin and Joo-eun.
I then saw the black-haired boy walking towards my direction, coming from near the sidewalk. He gave me a smirk before taking his spot beside me, "Hello, Aoi. Aish, it's cold in here. How are you?" His voice gives me chills, wouldn't it be better if he continued to communicate with me through sticky notes instead?
I faked a laugh and gave him an unsatisfied look. "What do you think? I'm tired as hell, I feel pissed, confused, and I feel constipated as hell and there just happens to be no restrooms around this vicinity. Such a good day, isn't it, Jimin? I feel like I'm going to shit my pants soon." I blunted.
He was taken aback by my sudden response. "Are you serious?"
"Yes, what do you think?" I gave him a slightly annoyed look, "So are you going to take me to the bathroom or not? That's if you don't want me to make a mess all over this place, you know." I maintained a straight face and looked around my surroundings. He remained motionless and confused, then I sighed through my nose irritatedly. "What the hell do you think? Of course I wasn't serious! Geez, I've been willing to ask you stuff."
I didn't hesitate to pull grab him by the wrist and drag him away from the noise caused by the cars near the sidewalk. After pulling him away, I noticed he was still in shock by my sudden movements. "So, Jimin, what in the world are you planning to do with that Yoko chick? And did something happen between Joo-eun and you before?"
"Yoko? I thought we talked about this, I didn't want to mess more with Yoko, alright, it was my twin." He said, "And nothing's really happening between me in Joo-eun that you might be thinking of." He rejected and crossed his arms, then even shivered because of the cold. He started hugging himself which didn't really work.
Gosh, is it really that cold?
"You're so shady, Jimin. How do I even know that this is Park Jimin I'm talking to, if you actually have a twin?" I suddenly thought, who knows?
He put on a frown and directed his gaze back to the floor. "I'm telling the truth. And I'm sorry, I don't know how you could tell us apart. But I know that I'm way more serious about you than he is. And I also wanted to show you something..." His voice faded into a mutter. His gaze was still on the ground.
What is he doing? Whatever it is, it's working.
He's adorable as hell.
I pressed my lips in a tight line. I outstretched my arm and landed my hand on his shoulder, tapping it. "You look like a small kid discouraged by not being able to get the balloon he wanted." I mentioned and he slowly lifted his head up at me with a smile.
"You're good at similes," He joked.
I smiled back, "Idiot, similes? Pft, simile my ass. Anything about literature isn't my forte. Just come show me what you want to show me, I promise I will care about what it is. Just don't freeze to death, it's not even that cold," I said shortly, removed my oversized jacket from my body and threw it to him.
He caught it and gave me a puzzled look. "What?"
"Wear it, duh," I said non-chalantly," I'm not even that cold, and you look like you're going to get a frostbite or some shit. But love, I don't want to witness you dying because of the cold. It was actually supposed to be my older brother's jacket, and I had taken it away from him before he even wore it," I scoffed.
He blinked his eyes twice. "Thank you, Aoi. Shouldn't be the guy the one to give the jacket to the girl when she gets cold?" He laughed and slowly wore my jacket. I gave him a weird look.
"Wow, so you're being sexist now, huh? Funny." He just chuckled after my response.
"It really smells like you." He rocked his head from side to side and swayed his arms like a child. "Aoi gave me her jacket, Aoi gave me her jacket~ Such a gentlewoman~" He pretended to sing, and I just rolled my eyes at his weirdness. What a goofball.
I then came to the thought that he did that on purpose, you know, acting like he was cold or something.
But maybe I don't mind at all.
