02. bad luck.

Aoi's POV

I really thought everything was already fine when I stepped out of the door.

But then, it started raining.

I cursed again as I shivered in disgust at the feeling of the raindrops on my drenched clothes and skin. I'm going to turn into bubbletea any moment, just watch.

I walked back to the front of the cafe. Struggling to find proper shade, I quickly took my phone out and dialed Joo-eun's number. She picked it up immediately and I started blurting out words without even saying hello.

"Joo-eun ah! Can you pick me up right now? I'm drenched in bubble tea and the clouds started crying at the wrong time! I'll explain later!" I said quickly then hung up.

A few moments later, I heard the cafe's door open and footsteps coming my way. The same motherfucker from earlier rushed out of the store and held on my shoulder as if I WASN'T MAD.

"And what the hell do you want to do with me now?" I shouted again.

I haven't heard him talk yet but he's ticking me off.

He didn't reply and smiled again, shoving his arm in front of me to see. Three post-it notes were stuck on his arm consecutively, going down to his wrist.

I read what's written.

1.) Sorry for earlier :3

2.) Even if I know you don't, I want to see you again after this.

3.) My name's Park Jimin btw. ;)

I took a deep breath to help me compose myself and flashed him a fake smile.

"Sorry hun, but I don't want to get acquainted to guys who are capable of getting my attention but will fuck it up in the end. Who cares what your name is? Do you like.. talk?" I can't help it, I'm weirded out.

He didn't reply and shoved another post-it note in front of my face to read... again.

"Speaking is not my thing."

For some reason it looked like he knew I was going to ask that so he carried an answer with him. It was pretty peculiar but I shrugged it off.

"Ugh. Whatever. It was nice despising you, Park Jimin. See you never." I rolled my eyes at him and left him again by crossing the road then walking to the other side, making it look as if I'm going to leave immediately.

A recap for today's shitty day:

Did the boring research in the cafe again.

A stranger poured bubbletea on me and told me that I was the one who told him that to do so.

That person is Park Jimin and he's a freak who doesn't talk.

And don't forget the rain.

Ugh.

I couldn't help but cringe at the thick and cold liquid on me. I'm sure my hair is messed up too. It wasn't long before I felt a hand on my shoulder again. It was Jimin again and I couldn't have been more grateful.

"You should go wash up."

These words were written on another piece of post-it note. I wonder how much of these does he waste 'speaking' to people. I stared at him for a few seconds and laughed.

"No shit sherlock. What the hell do you think? I'll go home, lock myself in the room like this? Are you stupid? Of course I will! Also, have you forgotten the fact that you drenched me in bubbletea? Just leave me alone, stranger. You disgust me."

I don't even know why I'm even making a monologue in front of him.

I began to walk away again until I felt him tap my shoulder. I realized that another note was stuck on me.

":("

and.. another one.

"You're quick-tempered and I find it pretty amusing~"

I looked behind me to protest but realized that he wasn't behind me anymore. I saw him quickly walk back inside the cafe. What a weirdo. I don't want to see that dude again.

I felt my phone vibrate in my hand. I got a message from Joo-eun, and it disappointed me alot.

"I couldn't pick you up today because my mom and I are going shopping.. please call someone else if you want. Sorry :("

What the hell do I do? My parents are both at work right now and I have no one to contact and pick me up.

Do I have to walk home?

Fuck everyone.

I was about to walk a long way home until a car stopped in front of me. The windows rolled down, revealing a face I'm familiar with.

It's Jaehyun in front of me and Jesus fucking Christ, he made this day thousand times worse. Who is he? Don't worry, he's just some bloke who's nice to everyone but hates my guts and basically wants me to die. But he's still friends with me.

"Oh. It's you, Aoi. What a sight we've got in here? Park Aoi drenched in some viscous liquid. Hop in." He suddenly invited, making me flustered. I tilted my head to the right and let out a hearty laugh.

Don't get me wrong- I, too, despise him a lot but he surprised me so much today. I've never been into his car before even if his friends wanted me to go inside it (for no reason, I guess) since he mentioned that he didn't want some Aoi germs.

Is he allergic to me or something? Because I don't mind if he actually was, I don't like him anyway. From that, to now. He's asking a bubbletea drenched me who's obviously going to mess up his car to get inside.

"Are you kidding me? You barely want to me to step closer to you and now, you want me to step in this car looking like this? I don't know what you might do to me." I said, shooting daggers at him.

He laughed. "Not that I wanted to, you conceited brat. I'm trying to help here and you can't even be thankful? Joo-eun called me to get you. And if you don't want me to do so, then suit yourself." He said with a scoff, slowly rolling up the windows.

I just stuck my tongue out at him.

I cringed again at the sticky feeling but I'd really rather walk alone than to get inside his car with him. He didn't reply and swiftly drove away. I let out a small cough at the small trail of smoke the car left in front of me.

Great, of course I didn't regret that. Yet I still let out a loud, frustrated groan and started to walk with heavy steps towards the direction of my house.

Oh wait, I don't know where the direction of my house is.

What the hell?

The rain started to pour harder but what surprised me is that it suddenly stopped above me but I could still see raindrops far away. I stared at the ground as it dimmed. I slowly looked up to see an umbrella on top of me.

I turned around to see the bubbletea guy with a cheeky smile on his face. There was a post-it note stuck on his forehead. I squinted my eyes to see what's written.

"I told you to wash up right? But why are you still here?"

I gave him a short glare, only to find out that there was another one stuck on his hand which was gripping the umbrella, mkaing my eyes widen.

"Where do you live? :3"

I looked at him again. He was still smiling, making me gag deep inside. He's a little cute, though. No denying. But ugh, he's irritating as fuck.

"Just leave me alone, you dick." I sassed with a curse.
