What does lonely really mean
Is it the absence of a being
Is it just an unclear dream
Or is it just a goal unseen

Is it having not one friend
Is it something imagined
Is it having no family
Or is it an idea perceived

The term lonely is used loosely
The average person has no clue
What loneliness can really do

It damages the heart and mind
And it's a waste of valuable time
There is a man beyond the clouds
Who heals and erases doubt

Loneliness is a state of mind
Stop keeping yourself confined
To negative discouraging thoughts
That leave you feeling overwrought

Save all that precious energy
And cancel out the word lonely
Completely from your vocabulary
Cuz those feelings are strictly voluntary
