Restrained

There were nights
I wish for solitude,
To solemn silence
And utter peace.

There were nights
I ached for company,
Delicate touches
And honey-combed words.

But
There were nights
I longed for unrestrained emotion,
Melodic songs and long drives.
For my restraints thoughts to let loose.
