viii. I Don't Like That

Aizawa and [L/n] never expected to be in the positions they were in at the moment, never in a million years could they have guessed this would be something to occur in their lives.

"Why do I have to be the maid? Can't you be the butler?" [L/n] asked, looking at her beloved partner in heroism who was laying in bed.

"I refuse to call you My Lady instead of [L/n]."

"And you think I want to call you My Lord?" [L/n] retaliated, an eyebrow raised as she looked at the man. "I'm in a maids outfit now, and will be until this is over, in case you aren't aware."

"Eye candy."

"The hell you'd just say-"

"I'm kidding."

"Anyways, My Lord, I believe we have some business to attend to." [L/n] spoke both kindly and properly as she bowed curtly to the man who was temporarily no longer her partner, but rather, her master.

The Queen was genuine when she said she wanted them to be as undercover as possible, so much so that the two were living in a Manor, the Aizawa Manor, while they would be doing their mission here in London.

"Remember when you said that I should lighten up a bit? To go along with it?" Aizawa questioned, [L/n] immediately knowing where this was going.

"Yes, My Lord." Those words being spoken, she made her way to the windows and drew back all the curtains, sunlight seeping through the large room that was temporarily Aizawa's bedroom. Luckily for [L/n], if you could really call it luck, had done this type of thing before. It wasn't with Aizawa though, it was on her own and she became the maid for a villain they were tracking down years upon years ago, so she knew how this worked. It was new to Aizawa, though he understood the gist of it.

Once that was done she grabbed clothing from the humongous closet and walked towards Aizawa as he sat up held his arms out sideways.

"You're really going to make me dress you, aren't you?" She asked, the man doing nothing but quoting her words. "It's all in good fun, and hey, lighten up a bit, go along with it! Remember that? Because I do."

"I didn't know you were a sadist, Shou-"

"You're not in the place to call me Shouta, [L/n]."

"My apologies, My Lord." With a kind smile, the woman unbuttoned his pajama shirt and removed it gently from his body before putting on his shirt. Once that was done, the man stood up and she put on his pants, shoes, and everything in-between. He didn't deny it though.

"What are the plans for today?" Aizawa asked as the two made their way down the long halls, towards the spiral staircases and down into the kitchen.

"Today we'll be going to the Walker Manor to talk about business, ourselves and many others will be there today in a joint collaboration." [L/n] informed, Aizawa nodding as his maid poured his tea. "I'm not fully aware of the business matters, but what we do know is that it has something to do with altering people's Quirks."

The thought of Quirk altering made them both uncomfortable, but they were here for a reason, and asked to do this for a reason.

"Why did we accept this again?" Aizawa asked as he sipped his drink.

"Because you're a sadist who enjoys my pain." [L/n] stated in an oh-so-kind tone.

"Besides that."

"So you're admitting to it-"

"No, I'm just not wasting my time denying such strong allegations. Regardless, it's almost time for us to go, and we can't afford to break character, not while we're there. Or here once we come back." Aizawa spoke, both of them knowing that all jokes were aside for now.

"We haven't played the role of villains together in quite awhile, My Lord." [L/n] spoke, thinking back to the last time the two of them had to go undercover as villains, though last time it was in Kamino, and they don't talk about Kamino. It was silent after that as the two of them ate, both thinking over Kamino and wondering how this one would go considering they didn't have nearly as much information as they'd like.

"And Shouta, shh, this is personal. Partner, maid, or fellow teacher, don't hesitate to call for me, understand?" [L/n] spoke genuinely, looking at Aizawa with a serious look in her [e/c] eyes.

"I understand, My Lady, that goes for you as well." His partner got a laugh out of that and smiled. "See, it wasn't so bad was it?" And yet, all he did was shake his head. In the world they were in now, being deeply thrusted into Europe's underground, noblemen and women as well as their head maid or butler were stamped.

In [L/n]'s and Aizawa's case, [L/n]'s right eye had a red whirling pattern on it, very similar to the scarf Aizawa owned. One that was in motion, that would continuously erase her eye color for a certain amount of time before it would return, then it would be erased again. Aizawa's right hand had a bright yellow sun on it that, even through his gloves, glistened and would even reflect in the light of his gloves were off.

Once the two finished eating, [L/n] pulled his chair out so that Aizawa could stand up and they made their way to one of the many rooms, this one being where [L/n] would fix his somewhat messy hair.

"My Lord, I hope you know you'll have to shave for this." [L/n] stated as she brushed his hair, pulling it back a bit with a ponytail holder around her left wrist.

"Alright."

"I expected some form of argument if I'm being honest." [L/n] admitted as she fixed his black hair into a very neat half-up half-down style, leaving no straggly ends.

"If you can put up with having to be my faithful maid, I can deal with having to shave." He answered simply as [L/n] wettened his face and the razor, beginning to gently shave his facial hair. Minutes later when that was done, the two were ready to go.

"Are you sure you don't want to wear some sort of eye patch?" The man asked as they two neared the front door to leave, [L/n] walking ahead of him to open up the door.

"I'm sure."

Roughly an hour later, Aizawa and his maid, [L/n], stood in front of an even larger manor than the one they were temporarily living in. However, once escorted inside what appeared to be just a larger manor, they ended up having to go down a large stairwell, going far deeper into the Earth than some regular basement. Both were in a bit of a shock, though they remained entirely calm on the outside.

Dozens of other pairs just like themselves were walking around, all in proper clothing just as they were, each with symbols on them, some more noticeable than others. There was a difference though, that some of the others symbols seemed to have an alteration in another color. Another part of the scenery was certain individuals who were walking around, casually, with wiring seeming to connect themselves to another person, while others had wiring connecting them to a wall.

"Welcome, Sir Aizawa." A man spoke, the two turning around, [L/n] giving a curt bow while Aizawa acknowledged his presence.

"Thank you." He replied in a gruff tone, the man doing nothing but smirking.

"I hear this is your first time. You and your maid are originally from Japan, correct?" He asked, looking between the [h/c] haired woman and black haired man standing before him.

"You're correct, may I ask who you are since you seem to already know who I am?" Aizawa questioned, the man nodding in response.

"My apologies, how rude of me. I am Sir Walker, I own this manor as well as a few estates. This gentleman here is my butler Dawson, he's been serving me for the past thirty years." With that introduction, Dawson, who had been standing behind him bowed. He had jet black hair and was insanely tall, pushing seven feet. He too, just like [L/n], had his masters Quirk symbol covering his right eye.

"This woman, I'm not quite sure if you're aware as to who she is, is my maid [L/n], and she's been serving me for the past twenty years." Aizawa informed, [L/n] bowing once more. The maid and butler locked eyes, the woman taking note that the symbol in his eye was altered, letting her know that Walker's Quirk must be altered.

"Dawson, you don't need to stick by my side today, feel free to roam." Walker commanded, Dawson nodding as he spoke, "Yes, Your Highness."

"The same goes for you [L/n]." Aizawa informed, [L/n] giving a bow as she also replied, "Yes, My Lord." As the butler and maid walked away, both seeming to keep an eye on one another, Aizawa and Walker continued to converse while slowly walking around.

"I see we both have the utmost faithful servants." Walker spoke fondly as he took two drinks off of one of the trays a servant was carrying around and handed one to Aizawa.

"What makes you say that?" The male asked, genuinely curious in this case.

"You see, when it comes to maids and butlers, the more obvious the location of the Quirk symbol is, the stronger the bond the two have. Not only do both of ours have them on their right eye, neither wear an eye patch. To some noblemen and women, it's something small, but to the maids and butlers, it's a way of showing who owns them and that their loyalty is strong." Walker answered, Aizawa finding this quite interesting. He knew [L/n] must've known this since she'd done it before, so for her to choose that location and to deny a patch, even if they were undercover, still spoke volumes.

"That being said, may I ask what your Quirks are? I'll inform you of ours as well if you'd like." Walker offered, Aizawa nodding in agreement.

Taking off his left glove as they walked, he showed the glowing, reflective sun on his right hand. "[L/n] has the Quirk Sun, she can become her own sun and do anything the sun can do." He paused as he put the glove back on. "I have the Quirk Erasure, I can temporarily erase peoples Quirks." Aizawa informed, making sure to only explain the basics of each of their Quirks.

"Those are some great Quirks." Walker replied with a bit of a grin. "My Quirk is Bend, it allows me to bend any object as long as it wasn't living, however, I now have a Quirk Alteration, and I'm able to bend anything, living things included."

"That's useful if used in the correct aspects." Aizawa spoke up, the man next to him nodding. "Dawson's Quirk is Emotion, which sounds quite odd, I know. But he can make anyone feel any emotion he wishes if they engage in a full conversation with him, even change their view on things if he does it correctly." Walker informed as he finished his drink.

I don't like that.

"What's it like?" Dawson asked as he appeared next to [L/n], startling the poor woman who was just trying to have a drink. "Oh, my apologies, I didn't mean to frighten you." He spoke, grabbing the drink that she had dropped with one hand while grabbing her hand gently with the other and smiling at her kindly.

"Oh no, I'm alright, no need to apologize." She replied with a gentle smile. "What did you want to know?" She questioned, the man letting go of her hand and giving her back her beverage.

"What's it like to be entirely devoted to your master?" Dawson asked, [L/n] blinking a few times.

"I'm sorry, I still don't understand." She spoke apologetically.

"They say that the more vibrant the color appears, the more loyal you are, and your Quirk symbol is such a vibrant red, it's hard to miss." The man replied kindly, showing genuine interest in the topic at hand.

"I'm not entirely sure how to answer, but my loyalties will never change. I am devout to My Lord and I always will be, that's just how it is for me. I can't really explain what it's like because for me, it's just life, it's how I live." [L/n] answered, the sincerity in her voice making the man smile.

"What's your story? Or rather, what made you want to be in this specific business? I assume your master wanted to be originally and that you became interested later on." Dawson questioned, [L/n] thinking for a moment. She was beginning to feel a bit odd, as if her mind was cloudy, though she pushed it to the side.

"Personally, I wasn't too interested in the business myself. My Lord was, but I suppose I've grown a liking to it." [L/n] answered rather simply, wondering if she should try and go any deeper, or take it slow and wait for Aizawa. This wouldn't just be a one day gathering, so they had no need to rush, but it was still an important matter.

"Since you've grown a liking to it, have you ever considered getting one?" Dawson questioned, taking a small step towards [L/n], standing much closer to her than before. On the other side of the room where Aizawa and Walker were still talking to one another, Aizawa had given the shortest glance in his maids, his partners, direction and didn't like what he saw.

It had gotten to the point where she was against the wall, drink still in hand, and Walker's butler was leaning over her frame, one hand planted on the wall.

Walker had taken notice of Aizawa's glance that had now turned into a stare, though he couldn't read his emotions about it. It was something he liked about the black haired nobleman, how emotionless he seemed, how hard he was to read.

"Ah, I see you've noticed Dawson's way of communicating. He's quite the upfront and personal man when he talks to some people, or at least those he finds interesting. He doesn't do it to other nobles though." Walker spoke with a chuckle, Aizawa keeping that in mind. Though the same thought came across his mind that he got earlier.

I don't like that.

"Do you know if he's using his Quirk?" Aizawa questioned, Walker doing his very best to understand what emotion he was feeling about the situation, but failing miserably.

"I don't believe he'd use it on her, not unless he finds a good reason to. On the topic of Quirks, have you considered doing a Quirk Alteration, Sir Aizawa?" Walker questioned, getting them both drinks once again.

"I, personally, have not. I like my Quirk just the way it is." He answered honestly, the man beside him nodding.

"What about your fair maiden?" Walker then asked, Aizawa having to think for a moment.

"I'm not quite sure, she might be interested but I myself have never asked her that." He answered, once again, honestly. His eyes drifted off once again, though this time for only a moment to see if [L/n] and Dawson were in a normal talking position, but they were not.

They were only closer, with [L/n]'s backside completely against the wall, drink being held very low, with Dawson completely towering the woman, both hands on either side of her frame and his head down my hers, seeming to be talking directly into her ear.

"She doesn't seem to be a very timid individual, most people he does that to practically melt. I must say, he hasn't gone that far before so I assume he's struggling." Walker spoke with a rather fond chuckle. "You've gotten yourself an amazing maid, Sir Aizawa."

"You're right, but may I ask why you say that, Sir Walker?" Aizawa inquired. While it seemed they wouldn't get deep into it today, he wanted to gain as much trust as he could as well as learn about the man who may be running all of this. It would definitely be a slower mission, and the more he thought about it, the more he came to the conclusion they may not make it back within a weeks time.

"As I've said before, his Quirk is Emotion, and he's able to change the mind of those who he engages in conversation with, to change their emotions about something or someone. All Quirks have their well, quirks, I'm sure you know that. His relies on how strong the other person's emotions are, their own emotional strength. Sounds cheesy, right?" The man paused, allowing Aizawa to say what ever may have come to his mind thus far.

"Yes, some are reliant on themselves while for others it's their opponent. There are also some cases in which there isn't a physical weakness to a person's Quirk, but rather an emotional one or a moral one." Aizawa spoke up, Walker nodding in agreement.

"My weakness is on others, as is Dawson's. I don't know how your Erasure works, but I am going to assume whatever weakness your Quirk has is on yourself." Walker spoke, eyes back on his butler and, who he now viewed as, companions maid.

"That would be correct." Aizawa answered simply.

"I can tell he's trying, I don't know what thoughts he's trying to change of hers, but whatever it is, he isn't getting anywhere fast." Walker spoke with a bit of a chuckle. "I've been thinking about both of your Quirks, which is how I could guess your weakness was your own physical attribute. For the maidens however, physically, I can't see many weaknesses with someone who can turn themselves into a literal sun. My assumption would be moral or emotional." The man spoke rather fondly and factually, while Aizawa was slightly amazed, he also wasn't fond of how he could tell things like that.

The two watched as Dawson backed up, retrieving his hands from aside [L/n]'s frame and walked away, the woman removing herself from the wall and finally taking a sip of her drink. Aizawa narrowed his eyes, attempting to observe her facial expression so that he could get the slightest clue as to what may have happened.

At a glance, she seemed just fine. But doing a double take, he noticed that her cheeks were a reddish tint. Her facial expression was normal and she seemed completely fine, but the color of her cheeks, despite how small of a detail was, set Aizawa off a bit.

I don't like that.
