Your heart is cold from the lack of oxygen,

You keep chanting in your mind 

1,2,3 breathe in, Breathe out,

But every breath comes out as a heaved sigh,

Every breath is heavy enough to pull your heart down,

People are going around chattering, chuckling and breathing.

You are jealous of how naturally they can breathe.

1,2,3 close your eyes, focus on your breaths.

But you can't focus, you are tired,

But you are happy that you are alive.

Your breaths slowly turns into gasps as you are drowning in a world full of air.

1,2,3 just breathe slowly, you can do that 

But your vision is getting blurry,

Your heart is getting is heavy,

And your hands are getting cold.

People start to stare and you try to stand up straight but you are too busy gasping.

1 breath, 2 breaths, 3 breaths, you'll get there.

But you lose count, you start reversing the counting in your head as you'll just stop breathing at the final moment.

As you have a rope around your neck not letting you breathe.

1,2,3 don't breathe, you've tried enough.

You are tired of breathing, get rid of your pain.

Go to bed, say goodnight to your loved one's and sleep.

No more waking in the middle of the night gasping for breath.

No more blurry visions, No more drowning.
