Aphmau's POV

Kami and I stood in the center of the living room with all our friends sitting around on the floor and couch.

"So what's this big announcement, huh? It'd better not be what I think it is..." Katelyn trailed off, staring intensely at Will. We both blushed, embarrassed.

"No, Katelyn. It's not like that. I love Kami like a brother." It was hard for me to say that. Why though? He is like my brother... right?

"No, we have something just as exciting though!" He said grinning. I nodded at him, and he whistled. A black lab puppy ran around the corner, sliding on the hard wood floors. Everyone 'daww'ed.

"We got a furbaby! Isn't he adorable!? His name is panther." I said, picking up the little pup.

"Kawaii~Chan is sooo happy!" KC was fangirling on the floor.

I smiled. "Panther and Celestia will be best friends! We can go on walks together!" Panther licked me and his tail wagged like crazy.

The rest of the day everyone played with Panther and Celestia, but eventually, the sweet little angels wore out and fell asleep. Everyone went home, so it was just Kamiwasa, KC, Katelyn and I. Eventually, they both went up to bed, leaving Kami and I with the sleeping dogs in our laps.

Kamiwasa's POV

"Thank you." I said gently.

"What for?"

"For being there for me in college. I'd never had many friends because I moved around so much as a kid, so then when you were so willing to accept me, it felt amazing. So thank you for that." I looked into her soft brown eyes and saw all the good times we had together.

"Thank you for loving me for who I am, and not for how popular I was back then. You took care of me and protected me, and I love that about you." She stared up at me with a strange look in her eyes. I couldn't tell what she was thinking.

"What is that look for?" I asked.

"I just- I just realized how much you mean to me. I don't know where I would be if I hadn't met you." The longer I looked at her, the odder I began to feel.

Aphmau's POV

I looked into his deep blue eyes, and there was an odd look in them. "What are you thinking about?"

He turned slightly pink, and broke eye contact with me. "N- nothing." I had an mixture of feelings when he looked away. Mostly sadness I think, but why?

"W-Will? Do you feel that, too?" I asked nervously. I'd felt something like this before, but not nearly as strongly.

"I- I think so. What does it mean?" He asked softly, looking back into my eyes.

"I don't know." I said, almost inaudibly.

We went silent and simply looked at each other. I felt myself moving closer, and heart started to race. Our faces were mere centimeters apart now, and I could feel his soft breath on my face. And gently, our lips touched. It was a soft kiss, and it only lasted a second, but it was the best kiss I could ask for. I could feel myself heating up, and Kami was bright red.

"I- I need to go to bed now. I'll see you in the morning?" I said softly, looking into his wide eyes.

"Yeah... G- Good night, Aphmau." He stood up. He carefully held Panther in one arm, and lifted me up with the other. He went downstairs, and I went up with Celestia. I set her in her dog bed, and laid down, replaying everything that just happened in my mind. Did I like Kamiwasa like that? I don't know anymore...

I drifted off to sleep with Will's face in my mind.

Kamiwasa's POV

I climbed into bed, and let Panther sleep with me, since he didn't have a nice dog bed yet. I thought about the events of the day. I fell asleep thinking these four short words: Do I like Aphmau?
