That I don't want to live in
Opened my eyes to see
Egoism, hate and misery
Survival of the richest only
In a hate driven society
Where all we ever do is fight
I woke up and it was night
No hope for dawn, the morning's light

You woke up in a world
That doesn't want you on it
Your sleep interrupted by voices screaming
About the awful mess we are in
That scattered all your naive dreaming
So in the future you stopped believing
When reality, it got you down
Everyone just fighting on their own
All forever stay alone

They woke up in a world
That couldn't be more hostile
And rather wanted them asleep
Forbid them to even speak
Pretending they were just a freak
Putting them on the crown of a clown
As unsaid words press them down
And in uncried tears they drown

We all woke up in a world
That we really don't fit on
But if we open our eyes to see
There is so much more that we can be
Than just misfits of society
Connected in solidarity
Hate might conquer if we are divided
But has no chance of we stand united
Hand in hand we can fight
To overcome the darkest night
For dawn to bring the future's light
