Romeo
Once upon a time, there was Romeo,
Looking for his Juliet,
Like in those love stories, you might know,
For someone special, as he said,
Our ways crossed, not long ago,
I took his hand, flowers started to grow,
His sun melted away my snow,
He drew me a picture, with roses shining red,
My heart beat faster whenever we met,
I dreamed that we could be together,
For today, tomorrow, for forever,
My butterflies, they flew to high,
Reaching up straight for the sky,
Blinded by a light too bright, little did I know,
That another Juliet had already caught his eye,
While looking for her Romeo.
Oh yeah, he was Romeo,
But I was not his Juliet,
And if I'd die tonight I know,
I would be the only one dead,
We flew so high; now I'm so low,
Cut off all flowers that started to grow,
Hearts break so fast and heal so slow,
The roses faded, the picture torn,
All they left is the biting thorn,
That now keeps stucking in my heart,
Piece by piece, I am falling apart,
Bittersweet poison goes up to my head,
All the butterflies are dead,
And I this is how it has to be, I know,
On the balcony, there is already waiting his Juliet
To finally kiss her Romeo.
It is a happy ending, everyone can see,
Maybe true love does exist,
But just not for me.
~So well, a poem about love. The first and probably only one in here. I hope it doesn't suck too much, feedback is highly appreciated!~
