A flower can't grow in the dark,
It'd be doomed to fade from the start,
Without  the sun and it's warm light,
And so can't a human heart,
Grow in a world of flee or fight,
Without any spark of hope.

A bird can't fly without wings,
Even in the strongest wind,
Without them it's meaningless,
And so can't a human mind,
Learn to fly in a world of death,
Without any chance for dreams.

A fish gets eaten by the shark,
That's all just nature's way,
It's law only the fittest do survive,
That also we humans obey,
Forgot killing isn't needed to stay alive,
We act just like smart beasts.

A beast that hunts follows instincts,
No decisions of free will,
It's actions can't be good nor bad,
Meanwhile we decide to kill,
And could chose different instead,
With freedom comes responsibility.

We are the only ones able to murder,
The only ones to become guilty,
We decide about peace or war,
Since our will is free,
A flower cannot choose the sun,
But we can choose hope over fears,
A bird cannot get new wings if the old ones are gone,
But we can fix each others dreams, choose laughter over tears,
We all together could survive,
No one would have to give their life,
If only that we would understand,
We'd be not enemy but be friend.
