It was silent all the way,
Not a sound was heard.
There were no drops of water falling
No pebble that my feet came across,
Nothing but profound darkness
In this never ending road.

There was little sunshine last week
But not long enough for me to enjoy.
Just like the tide, in the oceans,
Ebbs away from the shore—
The light from my body
Went away from my sight.

Now it's all cold and misty here.
The icy air giving my body chills.
The scary darkness
Making my heart numb,
And the unending road
Shattering all my hope.

I should have always known that
It would have been this way;
Because warmth and happiness
Always come with a price.
Now i just need to clear my debt
In order to see that sunlight again.
